This may be a long shot but is there an easier way to do a soft reboot with the newer phones? I have an IPhone8. I don't think my cordination is good enough for the regular way to do it like holding the power button and then pressing the volume up and down buttons quickly as it takes me several tries to do this. I can't be the only one having this issue. Will just simply turning off the phone and then back on again give the same result? Can I also preform this action as well on a bluetooth keybord?

I figured I'd ask this question now that the voiceover-bug that causes it to loose fokus and jump to the top of the page is beating the heck out of me! ;)
A good example is going through the comments-section of the Facebook-app here on the applevis-site. It has a lot of comments, and on my iPhone it is shown on 26 pages.

I was googling and found something like importing to gmail account and grabbing it from there. I think that is more confusing and laborious.

In iOS14, I was able to stop screen recording from the status bar. In iOS15 the screen recording icon seems to have vanished, I need to go to control center. Is there any way of getting the screen recorder back on the status bar while recording?

I am writing a book and would like an app to read it to me. I have tried Capti but the thing with that is that you have to subscribe wich does not work with me being restricted to gift cards. Is there an app like this. I could use VoiceOver. to do this but then I will have to put on do not disturb because otherwise I get interupted with VoiceOver reading the notification. That is why I need such an app.

Using the chat GPT app and BSI, I can type a prompt and send it and, a moment or two later voiceover reads the responce. I don't have to drop out of BSI or anything like that.
Now, with gemini, I'm finding that once I've sent the prompt voiceover says, gemini has sent a reply, but that's it. Also, focus has been moved out of the text input field for BSI.
I'm keen to give gemini a shot, but this is a bit of a non-starter for me. It really slows things down in a rapid back and forth. Any ideas?

Hello, I'm new to this site, having just registered. here is my scenario. I'm using an iPhone 6 plus, with the latest IOS. When I'm using the tunein radio app, and listening to say, a sports event, or an audiobook, my audio is quite low using the phone, and, also while using an external Bluetooth speaker! Voiceover comes in very loudly, but the other audio is very soft! does anyone know of any way to get volume higher, even though my phone is set at 100 percent volume?

Still trying to find a solution to the WhatsApp issue where phone numbers are spoken for group members who are not in your contacts.
I came up with a solution which was to add entries to voice-over's speech dictionary, replacing numbers from 0 to 9 with spaces. It ended up having unpleasant side-effects, as it also stopped speaking things like number of unread messages or message durations. Is there anything smarter to do? Like conditional entries where a number list preceded by the plus sign could be replace with a space?

After updating to iOS 13: When my alarm goes off in the morning, not only is the alarm ringing but my phone is also reading the "Do not disturb" notification. What notification setting would I change to so in the morning, I hear just the alarm and not VO reading the DND thing that says, "Calls will be silenced..." Thanks!

Today, I sent a text to someone who I had not put in my contacts yet. I told Siri, "Send message to and then I said the phone number with area code. A few seconds later, I got a notification that the message failed to send. However, about an hour or so later, I received a text response from the person that notification said didn't send. Very interesting.
