Wasn't it the case that, in iOS 6, VoiceOver would read not only the numbers on the Phone keypad, but also the corresponding letters? It would say something like "2...A.B.C."? In iOS 7, VoiceOver only seems to read the numbers but doesn't announce thier corresponding letters. For instance, it only says "w". Is there a way to get VoiceOver to announce the letters after the numbers again?

Greetings to all, hopefully your day is off to a great start. Subject is pretty accurate. First the back story. A few days ago I received a Braille Christmas card from Christian Record Services for the Blind. My brother and I attended 2 of their summer camps, and that is how I met my pen pal from Michigan. Anyway, the card which I just received says to either scan the included bar code to listen to some sort of holiday programming or call a number to listen to it. I have yet to do that, but thought I'd go back to their website and check on the lending library.

I just purchased an iPhone 6 and was sad to discover that when I opened Light Detector today, there was no sound. All Voiceover says is, "zero percent," and double-tapping that does nothing. It worked fine under iOS 7 on my iPhone 5. This app is great and I really need it to work again. Is it broken for anyone else? The developer hasn't updated it in a couple years, so I'm worried that this won't be resolved.

As you can see in the subject line, yes, YouTube now has the Like and Dislike buttons visible to VoiceOver and how much views there are.
If you remember before, you had to ask for sighted assistance to help you hit the like or dislike button. There also use to be a blank spot where the Like and Dislike buttons would be, but they weren't visible to VoiceOver.
We now have the Like and Dislike buttons visible now, so keep using the YouTube app like you would regularly do and you can like videos by YOURSELF.

I work with a woman who wants to use the voice over rotor on her ipad, but has limited ability to do the required gestures (twisting at wrist, holding fingers in position). Has anyone used switches instead in order to use ipads, or had success with other, hands-free ways of accessing voice over? Thanks for the support!

Hi. I'm using the latest IOS8.4 on an iPhone 5S. Despite having my music and audio book apps set to 100% volume, I often find that the actual volume is very low. If I then use SIRI, for example, the volume level of my music etc is suddenly perceptably higher. Additionally, if I triple tapp the Home button, to unload Voiceover, my music plays at full volume. Has anyone experienced issues like this? Perhaps there is an issue with the audio ducking features of Voiceover, that has the ducking active when it should not be?

Recently started using my first apple device, I phone 4S, I was looking forward to using Linked In on it as find the web site fairly triggy to work with. However, when trying to send a message on the Linked In app after selecting recipients using voice over, it does not enter the names into the field?
Is anyone using linked in app for sending messages successfully please as it may be me or there may be a work around to this issue.
Also, is there a protocol for making the app developer aware of such issues?

after updating to the latest ios version, i'm noticing that, whenever I click the http youtube link from anywhere, its just opening in safari but not directly in youtube app. any suggestions for this to make it behave normally. earlyer it was working fine. tried updating youtube as well. nothing works.

I'm not sure if this is a voiceover problem or something with the links that I'm trying to open or perhaps I'm not doing something right but I'm finding intermittently the links action on the rotor will not open links. For example today I had a telehealth doctors visit. They text you a link and you have to open it to connect. Today I could not get the link to open. The last time I had a telehealth visit I was able to open this link. Another example is when I was working with a verizon rep, he text me a few links, some would open and some would not.

I just updated my Linksys Wi-Fi app, after I updated the app, I’m not able to enter in my username and password or my router password. What should I do? When I contacted Linksys support on Twitter they keep asking me to reboot my router and it’s no problem with the router is only the problem with the app can anyone help in this form? I don’t think Linksys understands what voiceover is. I currently need to change a lot of Wi-Fi settings because my Wi-Fi speeds are dropping. And there’s no way to do it without the Linksys app.
