Wouldn't everyone here like the ability to have equal access to Netflix on all platforms, not just Apple TV? I sure would, but it doesn't look like that will be happening soon.
While the app has gotten better since the last Applevis podcast went over some "workarounds" to be used until the app became more accessible, this is not enough.

Hi. I've downloaded Netflix on my iPhone6 and am trying to use it. There is AD on there, but how do I even find the menus? I can't find them anywhere. All I see with voiceover, is names of films, and when you tap them, nothing happens. It's like the home screen doesn't disappear. So, what do I do?
Hi friends!
So I heard on one of the forum posts here on Applevis, and also on the podcast Mosen At Large (just got to know that today), that speak screen will use the neural voice when choosing a Siri voice. Well I have the first generation iPhone SE and Siri voice 4 American as my choice, and it doesn't work. I followed everything that Jonathan talked about, and though it worked for his device, it didn't happen on mine. My iPhone was still using the concatenated version of the voice that VoiceOver uses. Am I doing anything wrong? Or is this more device specific?
Hello guys,
I have created the free app PiccyBot that speaks out the description of the photo/image you give it. And you can then ask detailed questions about it.
I have adjusted the app to make it as low vision friendly as I could, but I would love to receive feedback on how to improve it further!
The App Store link can be found here:

Hi all.
An app I helped create (I did the programming bit) was recently released on the App Store. Note that this is only available in the US. Anyway, I thought it might be of interest to some of the users here. If you have any comments or feedback, please don't hesitate to let me know.
The app is a resource for users of guide and service dog handlers. It particularly has a great deal of info that could prove useful when faced with an access issue or discrimination.
Hey!
I had a new app idea. I was wondering what you all thought of it?
It would be an app where blind and deaf people could help each other, via the medium of text. blind people could ask deaf volunteers to help them see (similar to be my eyes), and deaf people could ask blind people to help them hear. I don't know, maybe these are crazy ramblings, but what do you all think?
Hi all

Blind Alive which is an eyes-free fitness site, has a new iOS App called Eyes-free Fitness. Since I do not have iTunes on this computer, I cannot post the app link. You can check out their web site at:

Dear,
My name is Kristof Nijs. I am a blind programmer and since a year I have been building accessible apps and audio games for iPhone and iPad.
My first app has just been completed. The app is called Mathematicus Parvus and it is a simple app to practice and stimulate mental arithmetic.
Are you interested? Don't hesitate to try the app for free.
Do you think it's a good app and would you like other people to get to know it too? Spread the word or post the app in the App Directory on this website.
I have written an app called Spoken Verse where you speak a bible verse address and the app will lookup that verse in one of three versions of the Bible and speak it back to you. You can also say the book, the word "Chapter" and the chapter number to have the app read the entire chapter back to you. It is currently being beta tested and I would like to open the testing up to any who would like to test it.
Use this Test Flight link to join the testing.

Hello earlier today I was looking at apps that might be acceptable to help me work on singing I downloaded probably five apps and the last app I tried worked the app is called Vocaberry
I just downloaded Apple's new free Music Memos app, essentially Voice Memos's musical cousin. In short, it's a wonderful idea but the current version is so riddled with bugs that I'll stick to the voice Memos app for recording quick song ideas until they get it sorted. Has anyone else had a chance to play around with this app?
Dear Members of the AppleVis community,
I am proudly presenting an app I helped to develop. Zuzanka is the first expiry date scanner. An app that will help you to scan and recognise expiry dates on food products. The app has been devised and developed by and for the visually impaired. Prior to its release it was beta tested by the visually impaired users. Although designed with this group in mind, the app will support all those who wish to keep their kitchen tidy and eat healthy food (or do not want to accidentally purchase expired products).
Hi everyone,
I must have asked this question many times but have never totally been able to use the function correctly. However, as the latest upgrade of the Audible app porportidly resolves the problem of deleting books, can someone please write me a step-by-step guide of how to do it?
I have approximately 80 books on my Audible app and want to get rid of those I have read as I 'can't see the wood for the trees'. I am also a little confused about why my books go right onto the cloud rather than into device and all that sort of stuff.
Thank you,
Hey everyone!
Connor and I were having a chat about the potential of an audio only social media app today, think of it like twitter but with voice messages rather than text. Does this sound appealing, and if so, what sort of features would you like to see?
I hope everyone is staying safe!
Harry
Hello all,
I have an iPhone 15 and I am currently running the latest version of iOS. In the last two weeks or so, typing with Braille screen input has suddenly become extra tricky. In particular, it has been very difficult for me to include dot 5's in characters that involve lots of dots. For example, typing the of contraction usually involves several tries. Strangely, I rarely have issues when typing the dot 5 by itself. I try recalibrating the dot positions quite liberally, but this rarely makes a difference for very long.
Hey Guys,
A new critical bug has been found when resetting.
If you reset all settings in the reset tab under General, you could potentially delete all your iWork files in iCloud.
I wanted to check with the community before I report this issue/ challenge/ bug. I am using an iPhone 12 which is on the latest update of IOS which is 17.1.
The concern is with the mail app.
