I'm the founder and developer of Voice Dream Reader. I recently came across a piece of new technology that can take existing audio books and play them back at any speeds. Here're some samples:

Hi, I was just convinced by my room mate to buy an I-phone, but I'm unable
to dl apps or anything...it's almost like I need to take a class on how to
understand how to use it. The site is helpful; however, since I just got the
phone a week ago, I need to know the first steps in understanding my

Hello IOS Discussion,
I have an iPad Air 1 with keyboard attached and VoiceOver which was added by the store when purchased in November. Some problems that I request your assist with:
-Unlocking screen. Currently seems to lock within 1 minute after initiation. Is it best to set this to "never lock" and then manually do this task henceforth?
Is the unlock and lock button the same as wake/sleep?
-Setting language to English only. My sighted wife used the slider to aid me and VoiceOver went into different languages.
Hello all,
My name is Jeff. I'm blind and a recent convert from Android to iOS. Rapidly losing my vision pushed me to iOS, and it's clearly superior accessibility features.
Kinda feel like I'm drowning a bit with a new device, new OS, new features, etc.
I'm struggling a bit with VoiceOver and hope it's ok to ask a couple of questions about it.
Hi all!
I've got a few questions. I got signed up with my local library and I got a book to figure out how to work Overdrive. And I've got a couple questions.
I would be very happy to receive some audio lessons on iPhone 5. I am a beginner in the usage of this wonderful phone. Your contribution would be very much appreciated. thanks.
My wife just downloaded the new trivia crack kingdoms app and I was curious if anybody has played it and if so is it accessible?
What an invaluable resource... there's so much useful information here I don't know where to start!
I've worked as an Apple Computer consultant for over 30 years, so getting around the various OS's isn't too much of an issue for me, as a sighted person!
I'm a regular user of the Hulu Plus app for iOS. They recently updated the app and I am noticing that when I scroll through a list of episodes the length of the episode is no longer spoken. I wrote to them about this issue on Twitter and, to their credit, they responded within a few hours and indicated that they were not able to duplicate this issue. I commend them not only for such a quick response but for seeming to know what I was talking about and actually testing this based on my report. They advised me to delete and reinstall it, which I'm planning to do sometime today.
Hello!
Today a new version of whatsapp has been released.
This version solves many crashes of the app.
It's working right now!
I have seen the new group navigation on iOs and I would like to know how to use it.
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share a quick update with you guys. Voice OCR Version 6.2 was just approved for the App Store!
I have not seen any posts on this, but yesterday VoiceOver turned itself on unrequested on my iPad Air. No problem, I went to settings and switched it off, but about a half-second later it switched itself back on. This was amusing, but kept happening. Reset did not correct it, and neither did restoring all factory settings. I asked Siri to disable VoiceOver and that worked.
Anyone else having accessibility features that turn on spontaneously? I have them all disabled in the accessibility shortcut.
I have the latest model of iPhone SE and overnight I updated to iOS 17.4.1. When I open my News app in the morning to scroll the main feed, I noticed that VoiceOver does not announce any of the headings above different sections, such as your areas of interest, publications you follow and so on. VoiceOver makes the clicking sound that it landed on a focusable element, but nothing is spoken. I’ve emailed Apple Accessibility about this but also wanted to share it with the group to see if anyone else was having the same issue.
Here's a useful overview of new features in iOS 5:

Hi all, I have been hoping for 2 changes to iOS for a few ears now but they haven’t popped up by themselves so I thought I’d see if anyone else thought they would be a good idea to approach Apple about. 1. Increased target size. By this I mean when I move my finger around the iPhones screen I obviously hear the echo of what is under my finger however some screens for example within a folder don’t have much content on the screen so there is large areas of empty space which VO announces with a lower pitch tone.
