iOS and iPadOS
Hello,
Is the latest spotify broken with voiceover or just me?
When I open the app, voiceover doesn’t read anything when swiping.
I reinstalled the app with no luck.
Thanks for your help.
I have a Sonos speaker and often use Spotify connect to play music on it. However, if I'm listening to something that way and open Spotify on my iPhone, it warns me about the existing session in progress, and when I select it makes the VoiceOver voice go really quiet. (I might have my speaker set to 20-30% or something so guessing that's the volume VoiceOver is using). But this means I can hardly hear what VoiceOver is saying. If I change volume on my iphone it seems to just change the Spotify volume.
So yesterday while waiting for my wife in the truck I plugged my phone into the USB port so I could listen to Spotify over CarPlay. I quickly realized that I couldn’t get into the now playing screen to see the song name, rewind, or fast forward. I could select a song from the playlist and I could hit pause or play and select a device but that was it. I unhooked it from the truck and restarted the app but got the same result. I can still access the controls on my iPad but not on the iPhone.
As of Spotify for iOS v9.0.22 the app appears to be fixed with VoiceOver.
It’s not jumping or skipping anymore. I've tried every test I could think of to break it.
I'm only 1 person of course, please do test when you install the update and let me know if its fixed for you as well?
Hey everyone,
I’m wanting to know a solution to this, because this is rather annoying.
In Spotify, I sometimes want to listen to my own music. However, if I’m with, say, a cousin, who listens to her songs the car, I can’t listen to my songs at the same time,
If I try and listen to my songs, they cut hers out. If she tries to listen to her songs what I’m listening to mine, mine gets cut out.
So is there a setting somewhere to make it so we can simultaneously Listen to music at the same time, or no?
The account has Spotify premium.
hi all
I have just switched back from android to IOS, and am having an issue with spotify.
In android, when casting audio to a nest audio, which you can also do with an iphone, there was a really cool feature, whereby, when you focused on the song that was playing, and flicked left or right, you could go forward or backward a track, respectively. This was regardless of where in the app you were. I am told by spotify customer care, the feature is available on IOS, but after multiple uninstalls and reinstalls, I just can't seem to get it to work?
Hi,
I'm using an IPhone 5S with the latest version of IOS. I noticed that the available space on my phone was getting less and less. So, I went into the usage section of the settings to see if I could figure out what was taking up the memory. I saw that the free version of spotify that I'm using is taking up almost 800 MB. The app is only about 66 MB and I only have 3 medium size playlists. So I can't figure out why it is taking up so much space. Has anyone else had this issue? And if so how did you resolve it? Any ideas would be appreciated.
TIA
Hiya,
Has anyone else noticed that Spotify is broken with VoiceOver, IE it randomly skips songs on its own, or goes back to the previous songs?
I've found that if you add a song to a playlist, it goes absolutely mental.
I've gone over to Apple Music as it’s been nearly 2 months and it’s still broken, if not worse.
Can anyone tell me if you've had the same experience?
Hi all!
I have a strange issue with Spotify. I'm using the latest version of the app and Ios.
The iisue is, I'm trying to play my playlist. I use Premium and am playing it on my echo. My playlist has 939 songs, and when I hit the shuffle/play button, it's only playing 1 block of songs! And when that block ends, it'll either start at the beginning of that block or play another 1 of the 2 or 3 blocks it's playing from. It will pay no other songs.
Has anyone found the last Spotify app update has broken Voice Over functionality, particularly on the home screen?
Geoff
Hi everyone,
I’m not sure if this is specific to VoiceOver users or not (a quick google suggests perhaps not, but all those results were from months if not years ago) but it does create some issues with VoiceOver anyway.
Hey all!
I just heard about the Spotify stations app. I like the whole switch as you swipe thing. But, I do have some questions. I have looked @ the directions on the app entry on here, but I can't get it to work. My questions are:
1. how do you remove artists from stations?
2. how do you add artists 2 a station?
With Spotify’s latest update, can no longer reorder songs in playlists: next to each song, there used to be a Reorder button, which via flicking up/down, the desired song would be reordered within the desired spot within the playlist. Either Spotify did away with the Reorder function, or it’s a voiceover bug, in which the Reorder button isn’t seen.
Also the bug of when adding music to a playlist, it won't add it at the end as default, rather in the middle of the playlist!
