Hi,
After connecting my iPhone 5S to my Windows 7 computer, and using Siri, the signal sounds choppy, and VoiceOver sounds higher in pitch. So far, I have been able to correct this by going into Settings > Bluetooth, turning Bluetooth off, turning it back on, and reconnecting the computer by tapping twice in the My Devices list. Does anyone know what may be causeing this, and if there is an easier way to correct this problem?
iOS and iPadOS
As much as i wish it were otherwise, we live in a world where taking pictures, sending them, etc. is the norm. it's the way our sighted piers, family and colleagues communicate these days.
to that end, is there a book that teaches blind people how to use the camera on their iPhone to get the consistent shots we need, even if we cannot see what's going on?
So I'm looking at options to move away from a victor reader to just iOS apps. I'm looking at Bookshare reader, Voice Dream Reader, and Dolphin EasyReader. What's the best one of those? Ideally I'd also like something that can play audio books from a folder of files continuously as well, so say something downloaded that's a bunch of MP3 files or whatever.
Hi
I have the Voice Dream Reader, Dolphin EasyReader, and Speech Central. Which app is the best in bookmarking while reading? I found that Voice Dream Reader bookmarks the whole paragraph while I want to bookmark only a word in the paragraph. The same applies to Speech Central. Any suggestion for better bookmark handling?
Thanks.
Hi All,
Recently when I open Facebook VoiceOver announces Bookmarks. Followed by a number of unread ones. Does anyone know what these are and more importantly can they be accessed using VO? I ask because I cannot seem to access these in anyway.
Hi
I have a strange and maybe stupid question.
How does bookmarks in pages for iOs work? I cannot seem to understand.
I have a Microsoft DOCX file in DropBox and am trying to import it into Apple Books or iBooks on my iPhone in order to read it. I don't see iBooks or Books in any of the Export or Sharing options.
Can Books or iBooks be used to read DOXC documents? If not, is there another free app I can use for this without losing my place in the document if I don't read it all at once?
I thought I was somehow able to read DOCX books with iBooks in the past.
I have an idea of the Bookshare downloader app that I wanted to make and I wanted to receive opinions regarding it before I start to work.
Currently you can use Bookshare in fully accessible way only with apps that implement its support, and that is limited to just a few apps. Technically you could download the files from the Bookshare web site and use it with any app, but from my experience in talking to people here that is something that is likely to be avoided.
Hi all,
Could anyone experienced in using BorrowBox help me out please!
I used this app for the first time. I have put in all my details (my library name, my ID number, and my pin), but the sign in button is still dimmed and cannot be activated. Therefore, I cannot proceed to the next step.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Sincerely,
I've been playing around with amazon Kindle as soon I'll be getting my e-reader. I borrowed a book to read after hearing a sample. The Mac version of the app is absolutely God awful. I have it on my phone. My question is after the two weeks is the book automatically returned? Or can you do it on the phone app instead of navigating a poorly laid out table at amazon's manage content and devices? thx
Hi,
I did some searches around before posting this on AppleVis and ViPhone, but only found 1 post.
It seems that Bose Music app is required to setup and configure (the Bose Noise Canceling Headphones 700 and Home Speaker 300/500). Unfortunately, the great accessibility improvements to the recent Bose Connect app (Bose Frames and Bose QC-35 II)didn't transfer to Music app.
