Hi all. I was looking at the freebird app. I hesitate to use it for the following reason. When I search for an address, I can find it easily. when I click on pickup, of course it wants me to confirm. The text field is poorly labeled, and so even if I put in my correct address, how will i know Lyft will actually come to my correct apartment? I know this uses Lyft, and it is the adress, written clearly there. Can anyone indentify that even though the interface of Freebird is wonky, it is still able to be used?

Hello, Applevis. I'm trying to go through and free up a little space on my phone where possible. Specificly, I'm trying to use the screen under settings, general, usage, manage storage. It claims I have 486 MB in photos, but I can't figure out how to clear that out; in reality, I have no photos at all. I deleted them all, but it still says the 486 MB is being used. Similarly, under the audible app, it says that there is 11 MB of data, which I know isn't much, but there used to be a way to just clear the data without deleting apps.

Hello everyone,
Since I updated to iOS 18, the option to adjust the volume using the rotor no longer works. I have to go into the VoiceOver speech settings to change the voice volume I use. It's strange because on another iPhone, it still seems to work normally. The issue is with my phone, but I can't figure out what's wrong. Knowing that after migrating from my iPhone 11 Pro to an iPhone 16 Pro, the problem is still there.
Any ideas before I try to reset the VoiceOver settings?

I'm looking for a nice tool (app) to convert imperial units to metric and vice versa.
I really hope it also includes converting between Fahrenheit and Celsius and Celsius to Fahrenheit.
Imperial units, lbs, feet, inches etc makes no sense to me and temperatures in Fahrenheit makes me go mad :-)

Such an app would be very handy while communicating with people that don't understand the metric system.
The app needs to be VoiceOver friendly of course.

This is a bit of a strange one that I've not heard anybody else mention experiencing the same or something similar. But, as it's now been driving me crazy for a few months, I figure that I should share here just in case there is in fact somebody else experiencing the same.
The issue is that when listening to audio through any of my wireless headphones, the volume level of the audio will often be lower than it should be.
Specifically, although the volume level may be set at 40%, the level I hear is actually at about what you would expect if it were 20%.

Hi all
While navigating through text in Pages I noticed an odd behaviour. VoiceOver sometimes skips a line, specifically when you navigate up to the previous line then scroll down to the next. It is happening either I use the QuickNav and navigate using the rotor or with QuickNav off and navigate using the arrows. Notes app also acts the same.
This is on the latest iOS and on the iPad. It happens with both BT keyboard and with touch gestures.

Does anyone know of an app that will let you browse ftp links? For example, you get an email that contains an ftp link. You can't access it with safari because you get an error message stating that the website could not load any data. Is there an accessible app that will allow you to browse these links?

I am just wondering if there are any decent apps out there for FTP for the iPad, similar to Filezilla on Windows. So, on a daily basis, I need to download files from one server, then upload them to another. I can do it with NVDA remote but it’s a bit slow I feel. Just wondering if there is a better way.

Hi, have someone tried to use full keyboard access on iPadOS? You find this feature under Accessibility settings and , keyboards.
You can lock your iPad by keyboard shortcut or activate Siri with another one. Just like in VoiceOver settings you have a list with commands which you can edit to how you like.
You can navigate on home screen with arrows only and for activate just press space. To get this features work quick NAV need to be off.

hey does anyone on here use the funimation app to watch shows? I wanted to watch dragon ball z, kai, and super in that app but found most buttons are not labeled. So I found adult swim as an alternative way to watch those shows along with a website in Safari that I go to with an html5 player that was mentioned on the audiogames.net forum. Also found two dragon ball z games, but they are not accessible so I uninstalled them. Also madden nfl is not accessible either so I uninstalled that one. I wish Jim Kitchen's games were ported to iOS.

Hello everybody. After updating to iOS 14 from iOS 13, I noticed that voiceover did not pronounce will the words General and islands. After a few weeks the word general was fixed by itself somehow. Strange but it happened with the without me doing anything. Now I am just waiting for the world island to be fixed also ha ha Ha. Has anybody else noticed anything like it?

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select either of the new US siri voices
2. Find any sentence with the word, "the".
3. Navigate the sentence by word. How is the word, "the", pronounced?

Hello there! This is regarding a query around the iOS upgradation. Recently launched iPhone 12 comes with iOS 14. In the specification I read that this phone will be upgradable up to 14.5. Does it mean after iOS 14.5 this phone will not be compatible with the next iOS versions? Please clarify my doubt. Because buying iPhone will be a huge investment for me. Kindly suggest.

Hi. Earlier today I received an add request in game center in iOS and I went there to answer it and was shocked at how much the newest version looks, it's almost completely unusable with VoiceOver! I can see that I have 5 friends, but when double-tapping on that area I'm unable to see who they are and get more details about them, etc. I've tried everything I can think of, and am not sure if it's something I'm not doing correctly, or if it's just plane unusable anymore?
