I have an iPhone 12. After a recent reset when the screen is locked and I touch it it wakes up asking for the passcode. I can’t remember where this feature is switched off. Looked all through the settings and cannot find it, anybody help?
iOS and iPadOS
I changed from AT and T, to Spectrum mobile and purchased a new 12. Voice over and I thought the icloud were going ok. As of now, no signal, she assured me i have service, I can't even see my phone number in my facetime settings. I want to clean up the older phone because i'll sell it. I tried to download alex but it won't switch over even though I thought it was selected. Not goot at face ID or the home gesture but this is four hours old. Help please.
This has happened before, I had to do without having notifications shown on the locked screen. It is happening again. Settings/ accessibility/ VoiceOver/ Verbosity Do nothing is selected for Notifications when screen is locked but does it work? No, all notifications set to show on locked screen are read aloud by VO even in silent mode. I had some very embarrassing situations at work. Can someone validate this? I had to reset all settings the day before this started happening thanks to the lag in response after updating to IOS 18.1.1
Hello, I recently bought the iPhone 13 and downloaded ios15. Since the download the only notification working is the ring tone. I contacted Apple help who told me there is a bug in ios15. I downloaded an update but the problem persists so I went to my local apple store. They advised me to do a hard reset which I did but the problem persists. Also my Watch stopped at the time of the reset. Any thoughts?
Good afternoon, all! I have an iPhone 13 pro, and especially today, the battery has been draining faster than usual and it's been getting much warmer than normal as well. I keep screen curtain on most of the time, and I haven't really been doing anything different since iOS 18, so I'm a bit baffled as to what might be going on. Especially in the past couple of days, I've mostly used Dystopia, messages, mail and Replika. I've played a bit of Word Voyance and dice world too, but I don't remember either of those causing issues in the past.
Since iOS 17 Voiceover on my iPhone 13 has too many bugs, they still aren’t fixed in iOS 18 and honestly I’m so annoyed about the stability worsening and the lack of optimisation that iOS is currently facing, regarding accessibility.
Voiceover gets muted for short periods of time: When I’m doing something, Voiceover loses speech for a moment, and then comes back. Although it happens very occasionally, I find it very annoying and frustrating.
Voiceover gets extremely slow while browsing the Internet, mainly if there’s a photo or a video that is playing.
Hi,
I just got my 1 tb iPhone 14 pro today, and really like it, although I keep going to the app switcher instead of home, it's going to take practice, lol. Anyway, I was able to set up face ID, although it was tricky. After I feel haptic feedback that face id unlocked my phone successfully, why do I still have to do the home gesture? When I used touch id with my SE 2020, after Touch ID unlocked it, I didn't have to press home I don't think. Unless I would accidentally press it when I was triggering touch ID? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
I just upgraded to the latest version and I noticed that no matter where I use the two-finger sweep gesture to have VoiceOver read aloud, it always jumps to the very beginning of the page during reading.
If I try to listen to anything in other software, the focus of voice over always jumps to the beginning of all elements.
I can hardly read a complete article with VoiceOver.
If you know where I should adjust the settings, please let me know.
Thank you very much for your help!
Hello.
This last christmas, I received an iPhone 14 pro max. I really like ot so far after nearly 3 months of using it. However, I am having a rather strange issue with audio that happens while both using my hearing aids and the internal speakers.
Hi there to everyone,
I’ve been having a very weird issue happening for quite some time but only noticed it in iOS 18.4. Now whenever I use my Mail app, there are no sounds if emails are coming in but if I individually open each inbox of every male account on the Mail app it will then make a noise. Does anyone know how to fix this as I have tried going into settings and making sure that the relevant notifications are on. Does anyone know if this is an actual bug and has anyone reported it? It’s so frustrating I just wish they would sort this out.
Many thanks, Sajid.
For some time now I have been using Siri voice3 British dialect with my iPhone 15 Pro Max.
For some reason it keeps losing the voice and reverting to Daniel. This has been happening when the device is on its wireless charger over night.
If I want to restore the voice it is necessary to redownload it in the morning.
Sadly this issue persists in the latest beta.
It used to occurs on my Apple Watch too but this is no longer the case.
Hi all and a very happy New Year to you.
I wanted to ask since Apple Intelligence came out, what is everybody’s experience like with using iPhone 16 as I am seriously considering getting it. Can you please point me in the right direction? Many thanks in advanced
Hi all,
For anyone with the iPhone 16, have you had a harder time than before knowing if you are centered or not? It doesn't seem like voiceover is giving me as frequent updates, and when trying to use the new camera control, which I like the idea of, but it seems like I get my shot lined up, then when I go to press the button, it moves just enough to mess up my shot.
Quick take aways:
Single 48 mp camera.
No magsafe.
Action button but no camera button.
Custom modem with (best battery ever seen in a 6.1 iPhone)
Apple Intelligence
Face ID (no home button)
Starting price for 128 gb storage, $599/£599
Now the line up is:
i16 E: 599
15: 699 (better cameras and MagSafe but no apple intelligence)
16: 799
16 +: 899
16 pro 999.
Hello friends, I’m Turkish and live in Turkey. My English is limited, so I use ChatGPT for translation, and there might be mistakes. I want to buy an iPhone 16 or 16 Pro Max, but I heard that the Braille screen input (Braille keyboard) works better on the 16 Pro Max, while it often makes errors on the 16 Pro. They say a case reduces these errors. Screen protectors supposedly cause errors in Braille typing and may damage the Braille keyboard. Should I buy the 16 Pro or 16 Pro Max? Why? What are your thoughts on using a screen protector, and if so, which brands and models are best?
Hi, I have purchased the new Iphone 16 but whenever I pick up the phone or move it at all Voice-over tells me the time before closing the screen again. I have turned off the 'touch screen to wake' control, so I should have to tap the side power button to wake it. However this sensativity to motion is what brings it to life. Does anyone know what I should be doing to fix this? It it is relevant, the phone is in a book style leather wallet. Many thanks
Hi,
I got my new iPhone 16e four days ago. I've noticed that it gets progressively hot after a few minutes of doing completely normal activities, such as reading Twitter, using WhatsApp, etc.
The heat is concentrated on the left side of the device, roughly under the volume buttons.
I updated to iOS 18.4 yesterday. I'm not sure if this could be the cause of the problem or if it will be fixed in the next few days.
Has anyone noticed anything similar?
