I have the Nearby Explorer Online version. I am not able to find cities in general. Is this a feature of the paid version? Also, how do you search for cities outside of the United States?
iOS and iPadOS
i have 6S iphone with 16 gigabyte storage. last week i bought the nearby explorer app. the app required more than 4 gigabyte space. i deleted a lot of apps to make space available to install the new app. the onboard map refused to be installed. the app would say repeatedly it needs 1.9 gigabyte space to install. i bought 50 gigabyte storage on ICloud. the app did not budge. it still continued to state it requires 1.9 gigabyte space. even whe i deleted apps, the nearby explorer app will not install.
any help or suggestion from applevis users?
regards,
Hello! It has been a long time since I posted. Well, I was wondering about the Nearby Explorer app, the full version. I am thinking about getting the app, but I want to wait until the price goes down so I can get it. I heard that on black Friday, the price goes down. So, my question is how much does it cost for the Nearby Explorer app on black Friday? I really need this app because I am starting to travel independently.
Hello,
I've listened to the podcast on near by explorer and it seem like a very good app. Unfortunately though since there's not a trial version I want to get as much feedback as possible before spending the $79 and consuming the 4 gigs on my phone with this app. I'm sure as it develops the app will get better and better. What are the communities thoughts on it so far? What do you like or dislike about it? Do you think it's worth the price you paid for it? why or why not?
Thanks
Is there a way to change the voice that nearby explorer uses?
Hello AppleVis members. As you may have experienced, many book reading apps in iOs are going through an issue that Apple has introduced recently in its operating system. When reading with a Braille Display, as read down the page, it skips a few lines of text. Then, you must go back and reread the content very carefully. As a user who extensively relies upon a Braille Display, I need help finding an app that supports multiple Universal reading formats (Docx, Doc, Pdfs, ePub, txt, Mp3, Daisy text, Daisy Audio, etc, and does not suffer from the bug that I described.
Hi. My Apex, which I do 99 percent of my typing on is going away Monday to get fixed and I will not have it for weeks. My computer skills are not that good and even if they were, I am not at my house, so I don't have my computer. I have a braille pen which I am going to use with my iPhone for typing. Is there such thing as an accessible text editing app that can handle plain text files: .txt, has dropbox support and can read from and wright to any folder, not just its own folder and has a different and better spell checker then the one in iOS?
To make a long post short, I've used TV Guide for my listings forever. Now something has gone wrong and when I push the Customize Listings button, the app crashes. When I uninstalled it and downloaded it again, the same problem persists and I can't get to my favorites. So, alas I need a suggestion for a good accessible TV Listings app that will let you favorite channels. Don't need to favorite particular programs. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
I have had an e-mail address but need a new one. Can anyone reccomend me a great client and a new e-mail address?
Hi. I am looking for a replacement app for pro tube. About 14 days ago, the downloads quit working. About 8 days ago, the developer said on twitter he knew the downloades were broaken and that he would put out an update to fix it which he has not done yet. So I am looking for a different youtube app I can use for downloading while I wait for the pro tube update. I would like it if the app could download as audio like pro tube does, but if it can only download the files as vidioes, I can just use a vidio to audio converter.
I am giving a presentation on digital accessibility at work next week to a group of web and mobile designers. The presentation should be fun and interactive and I am looking for an iPhone app that meets the following criteria:
• Fully accessible with VoiceOver.
• FUN! FUN! FUN!
• Safe for work/Rated E for everyone.
• Standalone or minimal networking requirements. I'd like to get the team to download the app ahead of time so we're not doing this on the day of the presentation.
Hello,
I am a massage therapist and need an accessible way to accept credit cards for my small business.
I currently have been using square card reader but am not able to use it at the same time as voice over.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions of headsets that are known to work with square and voiceover together
Am open to other ideas that are affordable as well.
I was formerly in an office where I could take the card reader and iPad to the front desk and the front office helped run it for me.
Since universal clipboard does not work on the 4s is there another way to send text between a 4s and a 6? Thank you.

Hello Everyone,
In preparing for an upcoming webinar, I am setting up AirPlay mirroring between one of my iOS devices and a MacBook running Windows 10 in a virtual machine under VMWare Fusion 8.
I want to mirror everything that's happening on the iOS device, including VoiceOver audio, to my Windows computer, so that all the audio can be heard on the computer. In addition, I would like to record the presentation. As a bonus, I would like audio from the microphone to become part of the presentation, so I may narrate recordings.
hi all,
I am needing an app for IOS that will let me mix tracks. I know of Garage Band, But I would like something that will let me load a prerecorded track, and that works with dropbox. I am willing to pay for something, but I can't at the moment, so if there is a free app that will do it for now that would be great to. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
