Hi everyone,
I am absolutely fuming with a capital F and a load of other words in between. I really need some help before I chuck my iPhone straight out of the window or use it as a doorstop.
I have a severe disability consequently making me electric wheelchair bound and unable to walk. For many years my iPhone was just a toy for other people as I could not use it until they launched the accessibility feature last year. I have been reinvigorated by using my iPhone and iPad with a mouse.

Hi guys, I thought the real-time recognition function was broken for everyone since iOS 17, but now I saw from some posts here that only mine is broken
My issue is that when I activate real-time recognition, my iPhone just makes sounds for each element recognized by the camera or the laidar sensor or whatever.

Hi all,
I wonder if people might be able to give me really simple recommendations for a voice recording app for ios, the sort of thing you might use for notes, memos reminders, lists etc.
This isn't for me, its for someone who I know who is in her 70s, and has made very good progress with using the iPhone, but she needs a lot of training and repeating of steps to get comfortable with doing things on her iPhone.

Hi everyone hope you're doing well and staying safe. Currently I'm running an iPhone 12 mini with the latest version of iOS 16. I'm running the latest version of fantastical the free version and I'm experiencing some very strange behaviour. I have it set up to work with my iPhones default calendar. I go to add events using fantastical and I go to add alerts to these events. When I've added the alert before I click the add to calendar button I can see the alert just fine.

I have a rather strange problem going on with Doby on, and I wanted to see if anyone else could reproduce it. The problem that I'm experiencing is the fact that I use mfi hearing aids with my phone. Anytime they are connected, as soon as I double tap the record button, the app completely crashes. I have no idea why this is going on. If anyone has any idea, or can reproduce this behavior, please do let me know. I'm ready to send something to the developer letting them know, but I won't be sure that this is nothing weird on my end, and that this is reproducible.

Guys, I am not one of these people who normally gets paranoid with my devices, like, "Oh no! The government is listening to me," etc, but this does have me slightly unsettled. At first, I didn't think much of it more than a bug, but when I went back afterward and started thinking about it, I see a theme here, and it's just a little disturbing.

You know, I've been thinking for a while now: I wonder seriously how difficult it would be, if this site... applevis.com... had an A P I backend, for you developers up here to create an app for I O S that would allow one to browse the Applevis forums, post reviews etc. Basically do everything you can do up here on the web, but all slickened into your fingertips right from an actual Applevis app. Wouldn't that be awesome? What do you developers say!? Wanna give it a shot?

Hi, sincere apologies if this has been asked already. I just got a new iPad mini 5 because many of the apps I've been running on my 7th gen iPod touch aren't working any longer since those guys can go no higher than iOS 15. It's my first time working with iPad OS after many years using iOS on various iPhones. I've run into a problem where my App Library search box keeps popping up, no matter what I'm trying to do in any app, and I can't figure out how to stop it. It's getting in the way whenever I try to run any app.

Hey guys,
I've had my iPhone 3GS for several months now and love it to death. I recently found this site, as well, and have been reveling in trying out accessible apps recommended. As the number of apps I have continues to grow, though, I've come up with a problem - disorganization. I thought - no problem, I'll just rearrange the icons like I've been told is possible on an iPhone.
To make a long story short ... I can't seem to figure out how to do this without having the ability to drag/drop with JAWS. Is there some trick to doing it without the drag/drop?

I have a stack of 4 widgets and I want to rearrange the order they are in. You use to be able to just do a double tap and hold and drag the widgets to rearrange, but in ios 15, this seems not to work for me. Any tips or help with this would be appreciated.

So far I've held off updating my iPhone15 pro to IOS18. However I recently bought an iPad pro running the latest OS and so far it has been a good experience.
However as the phone is my main driver I thought I'd just ask is there any good reason for still holding off updating?

I want to assign a different finger gesture to the Item Chooser. The only app that seems to have it is BARD. Many times, when I double tap to pause the reading, the Item Chooser opens, instead.
I’m about to pull my hair out. How do I move the Item Chooser to the four-finger single tap?

Seems like it should be a really simple thing to do but I can’t figure it out, call Apple Support and they suggested top of container/bottom of container but that’s not quite it.
If anyone knows how to do this/what the gesture assignment is called please let me know

By accident, I came across an app called Rebokeh. (Free at time of posting) It’s an assistive app for those with visual impairment. By pointing your phone at signs, menus etc, you can adjust the screen to enhance what you’re looking at, by adjusting colour, contrast etc.
I’ve used apps that read the text, but they tend to read superfluous stuff as well, plus everyone around me is subjected to the narration.
I’m severely visually impaired and when I first saw the demo video, I thought meh! Don’t know how it would help me.
