iOS and iPadOS
Hi, anyone else with an iPhone 13 having a problem with tap to wake? Mine seems to stop working after a while and thee only way I have found to resolve is the old trick of turning the device off and on again. Maybe a device specific issue, didn't have the same problem with previous iPhone running the new iOS 15.
Recently installed tapestry that sounds like a great idea. Populated some content but over a few days soon found that the timeline for me at least was not navigable with VoiceOver from older posts to newest, focus would jump around. Sometimes I am 700 days old than 300 then at the top, the number of posts to top of timeline seems to be interfering. I have posted feedback on icon factories website which wasn't so easy, but heard nothing since then heard AppleVis Podcast on the app which seems to suggest all is good..Anyone else seen this, issue, any help please?
Hi Folks,
As I think about the TapTapSee subscription discussion, it occurs to me that if I had to pay someone to come to my home and help me identify colors in my wardrobe every day or, if I had to take someone with me to read temporary door signs when I am trying to find a particular conference room in a hotel, it would cost me a lot more than seven cents per image.
Hello. I crochet extremely much every day and have now found a perfect use for the app TapTapSee. When I take a picture it always, and I mean ALLWAYS, gives me the colour of the yarn. I hold the yarn in my left hand and my phone in my right hand, hold the yarn still and tap the screen. It even works with multiple coloured yarn. Have you all other uses for this app so I can get some tips?

Hi, For some reason TapTapSee will not let me send images to identify things; whenever I send an image it just says 'picture (1/2/3) failed, couldn't send image!' Is anybody else experiencing this or is it just me? I noticed it when I started using TapTapSee after I updated to iOS 8.3. Thank you for your help, Alice

I looked about the site and didn't see anything about thiss.
When i updated taptapsee about 3 days ago it said it was now free.
when i look in the about section where it usually said you have 80 pictures left or how many youhad that is now missing.
i have been having fun with it all day i just thought people here might like to also.

Hello,
Does anyone know how to make all iPhones running iOS 10 vibrate the time just like the taptic time feature in watchOS 3? In WatchOS 3 when VoiceOver is turned on and the screen is locked, you can double tap the watch face with 1 finger and the watch will vibrate the hours and the minutes. Maybe in iOS 10 there could be a similar way?
Greetings.
Does anyone know how accessible, if at all, the current Target app is?
Also, if it is reasonably accessible, does Target allow you to order online and have things delivered, even if some item isn’t in your local store?
Thanks.
Hi,
Does anyone know of an accessible app that can manage tasks that can put lists inside other lists? I have a program that I like for the computer that can organize trees of information with each branch of the tree capable of housing a note. This program also has a tabbed interface, where whole trees can be segregated from one another. I was hoping to find something similar for iPhone.
Hi all. I want to put out a warning, and encourage some hell raising a bit, but not too much. But the thing is the Tasty by BuzzFeed app is broken for voiceover users, and it can’t read recipes on the main screen, the titles are silent. I also have issues with searching for recipes, and as I can’t read titles on the search and main screens, the app is almost completely unusable for a blind person using Voiceover.
So... I recently ran into a problem that I had somehow created, without realizing it. For more on that, see here:
https://www.applevis.com/forum/voiceovers-english-us-voices-are-rebelling-please-help
But after I fixed voiceover, I decided to experiment a little and, on a hunch, I was actually able to rewrite the messages that voiceover announces when you turn voiceover itself, screen curtain, or speech on/off.
Hi everyone. This is my first post on this site. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Shawn. Anyway, a few days ago I had a person come to me to learn how to use the iPhone. As I've stated in my subject line, this person has neuropathy which means she has nerve damage in her hands. Also, I think we have a bit of a language barrier between us, because when I tried to explain to her what the flick and swipe gestures are, she still didn't understand me. So we tried using a Bluetooth keyboard instead, however I'm not familiar with the keyboard she uses.
hi everyone.
well, now that fleksy no longer works with voiceover I am trying to find an easier way to type on the touch screen. Yes, I can use a bluetooth keyboard, but that's not always the best way to do things. Sometimes I don't have my keyboard with me. Is there a way I can teach the predictive typing on IOS? Like, does it learn how you type as you keep using it, or can I add words? Please note, I did not start this topic to bash fleksy or the devs. I am just stating what I have found when using fleksy. Also, Braille screen input never worked for me either.
I'm trying to learn, in order to eaach others, to write on the iPad using VO. Using the Notes app, I'm finding it very easy to make errors, get lost and get frustrated, and I know how to write on the iPhone. I can't seem to conceptualize it for myself, let alone others. So I'd love to hear how you teach beginning iPad users to write. Do you use Notes for a platform? Do you use portrait or landscape? Are there any modern training materials for iPad available to consult?
Hi,
actually, I do my first steps with Team Talk 5. All in all it seems that this is a pretty accessible app. The only thing I miss is any announcement of the big gren push to talk button that appears everytime you enter an existing conference room on any public or private PTT server. Does anyone got an idea how to locate that definitivly visual button?
Regards
Martin
