Hey all, I've got an IPhone 5 and a freedom scientific focus 14 braille display. I've been looking for a good app to let me load up long documents and read them in braille. I searched around and came across some commentary talking about AccessNote, but as of February 2013, the app was ridiculously laggy. Anyone know if that's been updated? I don't want to buy it and be disappointed. I'm also open to other app suggestions re: something that will let me read ebooks in braille on IOS.

I am having trouble with knowing how many unread messages I have in ios 9 on my iPhone. It won't tell me on the home screen anymore, as it did before. Is there a work around? Also, when I receive a new message, it no longer read the message automatically on my lock screen as it did before. It's inconsistent as to when it reads the messages automatically. I have to check it myself. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

1. When I try to update my status on my iPod touch, it jumps out of the app.
2. I am having a lot of difficulties adding Twitter to both my Iphone and iPod. I can sometimes access it but for the majority, it will not allow me.
I am a new user to Twitter, so I have probably done something terribly wrong.

Hi. Shazam was updated a few days ago. It says it makes VoiceOver better, but it is actually way worss! VoiceOver no longer reads any of the tabs along the bottom and it also does not read any of the other buttons either. It reads one button, the shazam button so you can tag a song but that's it. You can no longer look at your previously tagged songs or do anything else with the app. Do not update!

does anyone know the recording and editing apps that are adding this capability?
Apps like Dolbe En, voice memos, Audioshare, Bakpack studio, twistedwave, ferrite.

Hi all,
I'm looking for a stereo recording app. I've tried Audio Memos. But it doesn't let me email the files out. It doesn't give me the option to use Mail Drop.
I've also tried Recorder HQ, and although it says it's in stereo, it's mono still.
There's something I want to record in stereo this Sunday so any help before then would be appreciated.
I don't need the app to add any FX or EQ or anything.

I've recently returned to using my iPhone (standard 13 running the latest iOS 17) as my primary device. equivalent to taking photos and videos for sighted users, I always love to audio-record some moments, like when I am traveling, etc., but I'm noticing a strange quality issue when recording with my phone.
First, the balance of the stereo field is a bit off, like it could capture further to the right but not the left.

I'm enjoying all the different podcasts folks are making, and so many of them are in stereo. I tried using the TCM stereo microphone on my iPhone 4S, but wasn't able to do anything with it because every time I connected it I lost all speech output from VoiceOver, even with an earphone plugged in. If any of you are recording successfully in stereo using your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, please let me know how you're doing it.

Hi all. I've submitted this question before but haven't been able to find any solution. I am using a jailbroken iPhone5 running IOS 6.1.2. When I try to open the application, nothing happens. I have tried deleting all of my jailbreak tweaks and still nothing. I even tried downgrading the application using iTunes, but it forces me to update and then refuses to open once again. Is anyone else having this issue? I really want my keyboard back. Thanks for any help you can give me. :-)

Now I wonder, how the bleepers do I get out of it? I can use it fine but cannot go out of it and don’t find the grabber any more.

i am shocked nobody has mentioned the cause! it is simple, dictation is the problem. whenever you use dictation, iphone won't lock properly. you can verify this by listen to the speaker port when your phone is locked, there is a hissing sound coming out of it, reproducible 100% on iphone 4, 4s, 5 and 5s.
you can fix this temporarily by reboot your phone, but fortunately for vo users, you just need to turn vo off and on again to fix this. just tell siri "voiceover off", tap the "listen" button, then "voiceover on", you're all set.

Hi. I don't know if anyone will be able to answer this question, but i'm gonna throw it out there, in hopes that someone knows. When I upgraded to iOS 6 yesterday, Stitcher Radio now reports that I have 3 new items. So I went into the app and looked everywhere I could think of. I checked the dashboard, I looked at what's hot, i looked at latest sound bites...and yet it still reports I have 3 new items. Does anyone know where these 3 items are? I'm curious as to what they are, and better yet how to set it so it won't report I have any new items. Thanks.

Hi all. I was just checking the weather to see what the temperature is and when it will be warm enough to turn off the heat. Unfortunately it will say eight a.M. partly cloudy and go on this way until probably one or so. Why? If anyone knows let me know. For those who celebrate, Merry Xmas. Be safe.
