iOS and iPadOS

Good afternoon, everyone! I want to thank all those who assisted me with my inquiry a couple of weeks ago.  I apologize that I did not respond sooner.  I was able to copy the apps on my phone to my PC, so I got my question answered. Now for my second topic: I was streaming a podcast from the Main Menu page with iBlink Radio on my iPhone five yesterday. I did not want to listen to the entire podcast, so tried to exit the player. there was a button to pause play, rewind back fifteen seconds and a next track button. there was no way to go back.

I just emerged from two days of upgrading my iPhone. This is supposed to be an easier process or is it I just have too much information to transfer? I just wanted to say thanks for the tip on how to activate Voiceover. I should have known that the power button was the answer. I appreciate it anyway. Now, I think I mastered the lack of the home button. That's where most of the time went yesterday; trying to learn the new gestures. I couldn't find the original forum topic so I made a new one. Thanks for all your help. This is my fourth iPhone.

Hi everyone,

We’re so grateful for all the encouragement and feedback we’ve gotten about our fitness app Jumpy Cat. We’ve worked hard over the past couple of weeks to release the detailed voice guidance that a lot of you requested. You can switch from the basic voice guidance to the detailed voice guidance by simply going to the More tab.

Thanks to everyone for the assistance with the App store issue I posted. I found the "picker" (or adjustable) item on the bottom right side of the page & it works. Also thanks for letting me know that the swipe gestures don't apply to the App store. I'm glad I asked about all of this & received your help because using the App Store makes more sense now. To those of you who create podcasts, I would suggest that someone produce a "App Store with IOS6 Walk Thru" podcast as I think it would be very useful and informative. Again thanks for all the assistance and comments.

Thanks to some very helpful AppleVis forum members we have vastly improved the VoiceOver support in our music practice app called Soundproof. We had several members test it and provide feedback and we've made some great improvements as a result.

Our app is free with in-app purchases to unlock unlimited practice, and to unlock extra features. To celebrate our VoiceOver support we are making the Unlimited Practice purchase free for one week from today (ends 18th December).

Okay, that Toolbar, show map, thing in th weathr app needs to ether go,or not get i the way when I'm trying to go through the hourly forecast, and it grabs focus away from that, and when I try swiping left, I'm apparently down at the bottom o the screen, or it's switched pages on me,from one place I'm looking at to another. Anyone else having this issue which has been part of the beta, and as of 17.0.2, still has not been fixed. How in blazes does one get around that? I'm guessing it's a focus jumping issue?

Hello applevis! Does anybody know how to use tunin's alarm? The problem is that i can't set the time. I wrote an E-mail to developers, but maybe they didn't understand the question. I wrote them about the accessibility of alarm with VoiceOver. I suggest writing an e-mail about this. If you know, tell me please is it possible set the time without voiceover? Maybe it's silly question, but tell if u know how to do this. The e-mail of tunin's developers: [email protected]. Thank you!

Hello:
AM searching to find a good app that can arrange my to do lists, reminders, notes etc in 1 place, i came across this app, it is called Things 3.
Unfortunately, this is not free or even has a trial version, so do not know anything about it's accessibility.
I contact the company but they said that they do not have any trial or something like that.
so, does anyone here use something like this? if not? is there an alternative?
Thanks in advance

Hi all,

I have tried some apps like "documents from readdle" and some others but none of these seem to make the grade. Either they're not 100% accessible or are not very nice to use with VoiceOver, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a document managing app. I checked here on applevis but the entries are a little old so maybe there's something new out there. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thank and have a nice day,
Fritz

Hi there, not sure if a question like this should go here, but here goes.
I recently jailbroke my ipad mini...it was off warranty anyhow since I got it back in 2013 so i thought why not.
I started experimenting with this cydia tweak called autotouch. i noticed that when voiceover is on, it will not register my touches. When it is off, it will. The problem is remembering where buttons are in apps or just purely finding them without speech. Have any of you ever experimented with autotouch and if so, what was the best way you found to record your macros?

hi everyone, do you know that there is a blackberry messenger app on the iOS? if you don't know, there is one on the app store, and it worked verry well with VoiceOver, with only one button, I think that wasn't labeled, and I have no idea what it does.
to use this app, first you need to register your own account, then a blackberry pin will be created for you.
I can send messages pretty well, but my problem is: when someone sent me a voice mail, I don't know how to play it.

It seems the Uber eats app for iOS just keeps getting worse and worse. As of the most recent update, when you are flicking left or right through the main list of restaurants, instead of each restaurant being a single focusable item, now you have to flick three or four times per restaurant because the restaurant name, approximate delivery time, ratings and other information are now each their own element, making scrolling the list of restaurants even more tedious than it already was. This is so frustrating.

Up until yesterday, I was able to use Cracker Barrel's food app very easily. I was able to look at my rewards points and everything else that I needed to do. After yesterday's update, it seems to be all images that I can't maneuver with VoiceOver. I have sent an email to Cracker Barrel to make them aware of this. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can navigate the app? Thank you.

Greetings,

i just came across this post on twitter. it contains a link to the blogging service where roger posts news about their app.

As of March 15, 2017, Roger will officially be pulled from the app store and no messages will be sent or received. Here's the blog confirming it https://t.co/bZaHDyTjue

I must say I'm extremely sad to see roger go, as it's given me the opportunity to make some really awesome friends. I guess we'll see what happens next.

Hello everyone, and as promised, here is my definitive guide to spatial audio for apple devices.
I have updated this guide as of February 2024, with more information I have found, as well as changes that reflect the latest iOS and macOS software as well as other Misc changes.

Note, for a lot of these features such as spatialized stereo, you will need AirPods or beats headphones that support spatial audio, which include,
• AirPods 3rd generation
• AirPods Pro first generation
• AirPods Pro second generation
• AirPods Max
• Beets fit pro

Hello Everyone,
I'm a long-time iPhone user, with a curious question.
I've been using the iPhone and other Apple products since I got my very first iPhone 10 years ago!
My question, which I've never been able to figure out until now, is, "What's the difference between "bookmarks and favorites" in Safari?
Or, is there a difference at all?

Thanks in advance for any information anyone can provide.
I was trying to organize my list, which is what prompted this question. I don't know why, I never asked this sooner.
