Hi Applevis. Hope you're well.
I was wondering what word processors you use with IOS? I know pages, ms word, drobbox, google dox and others. The problem with Pages is bluetooth keyboards do not work properly with pages. I think it's annoying that you have a subscription and just can't pay all together. So, what do you use and how they work for you.
Thank you and have a nice day.
iOS and iPadOS
Hello everyone.
I'm an iPhone user from China, I'm sorry I don't speak English, so this post was translated with a translator.
We apologize for any offense to this post.
iOS16 VoiceOver has some problems with Chinese voice, and I don't know where the feedback will be handled.
Many problems Chinese users have already reported to the accessibility hotline, and I have also emailed the accessibility email, but these problems have not been solved.
Let me talk about the problems I found.
Hi,
Perhaps this is not a news for some, but I just discovered that it is possible to send an email in the Mail app by pressing cmd+shift+D (when using an external keyboard). This works exactly the same way as on Mac OS.
Unfortunately, none of the other keystrokes I tried worked though.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Victor
In researching whether the Nest Thermostat would work with SIRI, I came across this App, Thermo Watch. I've never seen this app referred to on Applevis but of course could have missed it. It's one of the greatest apps I've come across if you have or are considering a nest thermostat. Because Nest is owned by Google, it doesn't appear that they will ever make their app work with SIRI. But, thermo watch, as a third party app, does it for you.
Hello team,
Please let me know if there are any workaround for these below issues. I thought I should not update to the iOS 16, but it happened yesterday night automatically.
1. Unable to access recent apps screen.
Hey all! Shouldn't we be able to sample voices before downloading? And it seems sample sounds way better, human and natural than it actually sounds when downloded. Also, Downlod option remains even after download completes.
I purchased THings 3 on Iphone, and decided that it will replace my Reminders and calendar app on my Iphone, but this is not so helpful like what they said.
- Accessibility is not the best, specially in Dragging reminders etc.
- It is not possible to create or edit calendar events, they will be displayed inside your today's view etc, but you should edit them from the calendar app, so same as Ios, you will open your 2 apps to edit somethings.
I've had an iPhone SE 2020 since shortly after it came out. Not as nice as the original SE, but still, I loved the home button and the slim and trim iPhone 8 form factor.
Unfortunately, with iOS 17, it started to develop serious problems. One was that back-to-back SIRI requests never worked. Another was that the player controls in the redesigned native Podcasts app could not be found by dragging around the screen. I could swipe right to them, and I could find them with screen recognition, but they were invisible to a default finger drag.
I'm having a couple of porblemson my iPhone se2020, and I'm considering blowing it up and starting over. The first problem is the app library popping up all the time. This is an old one, but I just got it. I even updated to the latest public beta hoping to make it go away, but no such luck. The second problem is that the CNBC app hasn't worked right in several months, and I'd like to have it back; it works fine on my old phone, and I can't find any complaints about it on newer IOS versions, so I'm pretty sure it is just me.
This is on an iPhone8 with 13.5.1 but noticed it in 13.5 as well. After you dictate something, voiceover will start to read back what you dictated, however the voice will faid out rather quickly. Restarting the phone will fix this temporarily.
Anyone else?
Hi,
I think my iPhone 8 is pooping out, it restarted in the middle of a call today, and the battery life is going down the tubes. I have an old iPhone 7 that I use as an iPod for Bitlife and such. I can't get an SE 2020 until November due to budget, so can I swap sims so I don't have to limp through the next couple weeks?
Hi all!
Hope you all had a good holiday!
Well, I'm thinking about putting a password manager on my knew ipad. But, I have some questions. Both about password managers in general, & 1 I'm considering using, LastPass. And I'm hoping you all can help me by answering @ least some of them.
questions about password managers in general
Hi AppleVis community
Voice Dream writer sounds like a great app. I am thinking of buying it but I have a couple of questions,
1 Can you copy a document from writer to google docs or drive?
And can you copy a google doc into writer?
I hope this would be worth the purchase.
Maria
hello,
I'm looking for if there any third party keyboard that is accessible with voice over with IOS 8?
I recently find Voice Keyboard Pro and find that it is hard to figur out how to use it!
thanks and regards,
Hello my good apple people. I'm using an accessible app called Sedg to obtain some cool ring tones. I've managed to save the tones within the app but I need some guidance in getting them on my Mac. I'm a new Mac user so any instructions will help. I'm using the file sharing Feacher. I can see the tones but I don't know how to save them for syncing. Thanks guys.
Honestly, I used to blame Apple for not allowing companies to develop apps for third-party synthesizers. But after Apple allowed this thing I no longer blame it. I haven't seen any company do something like this
Well, looks like they might have fixed the crashiness of the Notes app with this newest update. Fingers crossed. (Now if only they'd fix all the notification issues and add some new ringtones while they're at it!) Despite this hopeful resolution, it's occurred to me that I might like to have a note-taking app that's more compact. I've found my way around the formatting bar in the stock app but don't use it. So, assuming there's no way to disable it, does any of you use a third-party notes app that's nice and zappy with no formatting bar?
