I was looking for an RTF editor but maybe I should ask just how to use iCloud Drive because that may be my trouble.
With iCloud Drive enabled on all devices, how does one add or access a document using an iPhone or iPad? If I try to add an RTF document I get an error message saying it failed to import, it must be in plain text.
I've tried Text Editor as well as Voice Dream Writer (which apparently cannot import RTF).
Would appreciate it if someone could walk me through the basics. The end goal is to edit RTF documents. Thanks.
Hi,
I'm a blogger and would really like to create a YouTube channel to go alongside my blog. Does anyone have a tutorial on using iMovie on the iPad with VoiceOver? I can find them on the Mac, but none for iPad.
On the iPad I'm struggling to find things such as split, the event timeline and the option to add music.
Any help would be appreciated!
I have installed IOS6 on my iPhone 4S and everything is working well. I understand that the revised MAPS application has Turn By Turn directions and I understand too that Voiceover should be able to interact with it. I tried setting up a location to go to from my current location and tapped Start. Walking my route, I heard no directions. In the iPhone Settings, under MAPS, I ensured that Loud Volume was set. What am I doing wrong here? Could someone give me step by step instructions for setting up MAPS to work with Voiceover?
My iPad has a sim card slot. I would like to use it.
I know I cannot call, but that is not a problem because I never do that and have other things. Is it possible to text? does not matter very much because I can use other things but does texting work?
I'm using my iPhone with an Alva BC640 braille display. I'm wanting an app that will allow me to store notes and do searches (preferably via a hotkey) in those notes in Grade II braille. I've tried AccessNote version 1.2, but I can't search in Grade II Braille, and it takes too long for me to move from one line to the next with my braille display. I'd love to hear any solutions to this, even if it involves continuing to use AccessNote.
Thanks!
Dave
I've heard it's possible to use an iPhone as a webcam on a PC with an app, but I'm not sure where to get started. Does anybody know good accessible apps that can do this? I use an iphone 11 running iOS 14.8 and a Windows 10 PC.
Hello,
Does anyone know of an app to use an iPhone as a remote control for windows media center? JAWS is installed on the pc, so I just want to be able to control it with the iphone instead of walking over to the keyboard.
Thanks!
Hi All, I am hoping someone may be able to help with a small problem I am having with my iPhone X. I am a regular user of VoiceOver to use my phone. However, there are sometimes when my sighted wife or son need to use it so for those occasions I turn VoiceOver off to make it easier for them to use. I have noticed that the phone does not now work properly when VoiceOver is turned off. When using the on-screen keyboard letters are spoken, even though VoiceOver is definitely off.
Hello everyone, I recorded my first video using the native iphone video application. However, when I tried to show the video to my friend she said that she can not see anything. I should add that I was trying to record myself in front of the camera. Any suggestions how do you deal with the issue? How do you make sure that the camera is pointing towards you and that you can be seen on the video? I am thinking is there any application that would tell me this, before I actually start recording the video, or how do you deal with this issue? Many thanks for your replys. Zdenek
Hi happy New Year everyone :-) I have a 256 GB iPod touch running the latest version of iOS. Is there any way to use this iPod touch as a media server? Is there any apps that will let me do this? Basically I want my I pod to be discoverable as a media server. If anybody could help me with this that would be great thanks very much everyone and happy New Year once again :-)
Hey all
Is there a way that enables me to launch apps using keyboard hotkeys? I use a bluetooth keyboard so I wish there is a way to launch certain apps using my keyboard without having to navigate to where the app is. Thanks for any suggestions
I'm looking for any tips anyone might have for properly aligning the camera when using the KNFB app. Ideally, what is the best field report reading? I get the message "no text found" more often than I'd like.
It's Joseph here. When using KNFB Reader, I have trouble telling when the entire document I'm trying to snap a picture of is visible aside from constantly checking the field of view report. Is there a good way to do this? Thanks!
Hello,
I'm a visually impaired college student, studying Computer Science.
I figured that with the recent rise in online accounts being hacked, there's no better time than now, for me to start securing mine, with 2-factor authentication.
I've chosen Microsoft Authenticcator as my app for storing & generating these codes.
I understand that 1password which I use to store my passwords, can also be used for this, but don't know how.
For awhile now, I've been using Microsoft OneNote, and loving it!
However, I'm having some iPad-specific issues that I'd like to see if anyone else has experienced, and found workarounds for.
They are:
1. The area where you're supposed to write can't be activated with voiceover
2. It's difficult to access your notebooks
3. Unless I'm doing something wrong, its impossible to access your sticky notes.
For most users these issue will never show up, but for people using other languages than English or using more than one language on a regular basis many of these anoyances may be known. Over the years I have reported them to apple accessibility and until now nothing has happened. So after discussing the first issue on a Danish mailing list I will post tem all here and also repost them to Apple Accessibility in the hope that either Apple will start to listen or more complains will get them to listen.
All, I know that by using multiple playlists, different music can be sent to different iPhones using the same iTunes music library. Is it also possible to prevent all of the apps on one iPhone to install on the other iPhone when both use the same iTunes on the same PC?
I was wondering whether it is necessary to set up different profiles on the same PC and whether, if I did that, two distinct iTunes libraries would be created. Or would I have to install iTunes twice if I wanted different profiles with different libraries?
