Do we have an app that generates tones? Preferably in multiple octaves, continuous, but some sort of nice sound like an organ or something? I have instruments that Talking Tuner won't pick up, and the small Korg tuner I have that does generate tones generates an annoying beeping noise.
I just updated my instrument tuning app, Tuner+, to have full voiceover support! The app plays tuned notes for guitar, bass, violin, ukulele and other stringed instruments. The app doesn't analyze the notes being played, but is a great solution for tuning by ear to pitch perfect audio.
I'm reading a book in the Books app. If I 2-finger swipe down for continuous reading, everything is fine. After reading one paragraph, VoiceOver proceeds to read the next, and the next, with no meaningless verbage between paragraphs.
However, if I read a paragraph at a time, then VoiceOver announces, "Actions available" after each paragraph, heading, etc.
Is there any way to turn that off?
(We used to see similar behavior on MacOS when browsing the web, FWIW, but I believe that issue has been resolved.)
When taking Iphone from ear phone switches to speakerphone automatically when VoiceOver is turned on.
Is it possible to switch them off? I think it's more annoying than it is useful.
Hi al
I'm trying to use an app called hamsphere which seems to be reasonably accessible unlike their desktop application. This app has a tuning knob which you are supposed to turn clockwise and anti clockwise to tune different frequencies. How would you go about turning such a knob? Could you use the rotor for this and is there any way to activate and interact with the rotor using a braille display on ios 7?
Thanx for any help
Andre

Hi Everyone:
Does anyone know how to turn off passcode on an IPhone 4S? I am tired of having to type in a pass code everytime I want to unlock my phone. FYI, I am still using IOS 5.1.1 if that matters. Thanks.

I think this was a shortcut. It's called REPEAT. I thought it would only activate if I said, "Repeat this song". I found out that when I start, for example, an album, it keeps repeating the first song and I have to tell Siri, "Turn repeat off." I thought I was able to delete this shortcut. I deleted the Shortcuts app and still have to tell Siri to turn this repeat off. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for helping me to get rid of this.
I have an iPhone. I have been making different vibrations on my contacts and wonder if,it is just possible to,block ringing and Notification sounds;? I don't want the ringing sound and,, I,cannot seem to turn of text oo calls.
I put a video on facebook. There was a personal conversation in it, and someone told me to turn off the sound on the facebook video. How can I do this using voiceover on my iPhone if its possible so people only see the video but they cannot hear any sound at all when they play it? The video was a public video.
Hello,
I used VoiceOver on my brother's new iPhone 6 plus last night. I turned it on using iTunes on an iMac using the latest version of oSX. When I tried to turn it off using the settings, general, accessibility, VoiceOver would not turn off. I had to plug the phone back into the computer and I could successfully turn it off using iTunes. Is this a new problem with the 6 plus?
since updating to 8.1.1 on both my iPhone 5s and an older iPad, I cannot turn VoiceOver off!
When I go to settings -> general -> accessibility -> voiceOver and use the toggle which turns voiceOver on or off, double tapping the toggle will result in the toggle going to the off position, but then immediately, it comes back on. As a result, I cannot turn voiceOver off.
Last week, I turned on Reduce Motion in Settings\General\Accessibility to try and save some battery. Immediately I started having problems. First, VoiceOver no longer automaticly read alerts within apps such as App Store and others. I had to touch the bottom of the screen or hit Control+Down Arrow on the bluetooth keyboard to read the alert. This was very confusing for me, since VoiceOver just sat there and acted like I didn't do anything when I double tapped a button. Second, it caused the bug in the link below to appear in the Reminders app.
Hi all
I'm wondering how to turn on the equalizer on the iphone? When I go to settings and music while the music is playing, I get to an equalizer button which says that the equalizer is turned off. Double tapping on that button of course takes me into the equalizer settings. The first item is off but when you double tap on that it simply says that off is selected. How do you turn that setting from off to on so that you can change the settings?
Regards
I have an iPhone 7. Pressing the home button three times does not turn on voice over. When I am somewhere with no connection siri doesn't work. It is impossible to go through settings without voice over. Is there some other quick way to turn it on??
Thanks
I have never before tried reading books with Voice Dream Reader until now. But, now, I am planning to do so in Braille for the Braille Readers Are Leaders challenge in the Adult Novice category.
So, Iām preparing by getting a look at the iOS app and I cannot even figure out how to turn from one page to another.
Can anyone help me with this and other beginner things I need to know about Voice Dream Reader and reading in Braille for the challenge? Is the Getting Started Guide available outside of Voice Dream Reader so I can, for example, read it on a website?
So far I have only used touch ID phones. While playing around with an iPhone 12, I noticed an issue while turning Voiceover off and on with triple click side button. While VO does get turned on, the device also switches to power off mode, giving me the options to power off, medical ID etc. What ads to the trouble is that, after I hit cancel, the phone asks for passcode. So if one has to turn off VO and on at the middle of something, this proves really annoying. Somehow the triple click is being interpreted as a power off command?
