iOS and iPadOS
Hi folks,
I'm probably being incredibly stupid. But when I try to sign into my ICloud account, I get prompted to enter my verification code from my trusted device. All well and good. The alert pops up on my device, and I carefully type in the code presented. However, the web site always says that the code is invalid, when I know, with complete certainty, that I have entered exactly what is presented to me in the alert.
Hello to all. I have two questions that are completely unrelated. Firstly, I did a home screen reset for my phone yesterday. Much to my surprise, the very first app on the first screen is now the Mail app, with Messages being designated to the dock. Has this happened to anyone else? secondly, when using Apple Music and listening to a radio station, I can't find the "play more like this button" anymore, either on my iPhone or my Windows machine. Does anyone know where it is? Thanks for your help on either or both of these questions. Cheers.

Hey my apple experts! IOS 14 6 months away, and I want to ask apple to add two voices for voice over. the first voice is for English scotland, and the second voice is the enhance version of the Indian voice, witch is added. What do you think? And what other voice you want apple to add?
what is the regular gesture for two-finger scrub, i.e., when voiceover is not active? thanks.
Hello,
I was trying some gestures in the VoiceOver Help Mode (double-tap with four fingers).
And I discovered that VoiceOver announced an action I haven‘t heard before. It‘s announced when I swipe to the right with two fingers. It says something like: Skip to associated content. (I have my iPhone set to German and tried to translate it as best I could. It probably announces it differently in English though).
So far I haven‘t yet found a place where this gesture actually does anything.
Does anyone know where it is used?
Best Regards; René
If you text, tweet, Facebook, or use any other social network, chances are you've encountered, if not used, emojis. As many iOS users know, emojis are available by enabling this keyboard in Settings<General<Keyboard, and then toggling between your normal keyboard and the emoji keyboard in virtually any textfield. If you use emojis, you know that they are accessible with VoiceOver. What I am going to show you is not a work around for an accessibility issue, but a different way of entering emojis. We will do this by using the iOS feature shortcuts.
Hi, how do I type to Siri in IOS 18.1? I have type to Siri turned on in settings but not sure how to invoke this feature from the home screen. Thanks
When looking in the Braille settings on my iPad the other day, I discovered a toggle that offers the ability to type Braille chords directly on a QWERTY keyboard, using the F, D, S, and J, K, L keys as dots 1–6 respectively.
Does anyone know more about how this works? I couldn’t seem to get it to work using my Magic Keyboard or an old Bluetooth keyboard connected to my iPhone.
Hello all, I have a question. I’m currently running 14.41 on my 10 R. Recently, when I go to do a Google search, I am not getting feedback when I’m typing something. So if I type a word in the box, it is not telling me that letters are appearing in the box. Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue. I hope this makes sense. It also does the same thing when I’m starting a brand new text message to someone.
Since the release of iOS 15, I've been having issues with typing. I used direct touch typing and had software keyboard set to speak words, but when I'd type and hit the space key, instead of the word, VoiceOver just said space. This is still an issue, even with iOS 15.2, and I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue and maybe there's some sort of workaround I don't know about. For now, I have switched to touch typing, which works fine, though it slows me down significantly when it comes to typing on my phone.
Thank you to anyone here who can help.
Hi all when i set in Verbosity, typing feedback to None for Braille screen Input in ios 18 the latest version, it is still reading words when i enter a space is this normal? it's driving me mad; sometimes it reads words, sometimes it won't when I press space.
Ok so this is weird, but I have been using an iPhone since 2013 and am still dissatisfied with my typing speed on iPhone, and with consistently performing the router gesture.
I use touch typing and only have word feedback, and have the werty keyboard memorized, but still feel like I hit the wrong key like a third of the time. Any tricks you guys have to type faster on the default keyboard or good third party keyboards? I know about Flicktype but nothing else. I also do dictation but hate it in public settings.
Hi. I was wondering if anyone has found an accessible typing practice app for the iPad. Also it needs to be used with a Bluetooth keyboard. Thank you.
If I hold my ipad 2cm away from my nose and invert the colours I can see enough to figure out where the keys are and type. But this, along with any other attempts to read anything, worsens the already very irritating nystagmus and causes headaches. Which is the whole reason i am getting voiceover training. Currently im busy getting mac training, but soon will be starting ios training. You dont need to be a genius to use voiceover on ios, i can already navigate quite well.
Hello
After updating to IOS 13.2 and especially updated Whatsapp to V2.19.110 I discovered to my utter delight that my old Astrum 3.0 bluetooth keyboard types punctuation signs using the shift key correctly, like before. Pressing control plus the space bar to change keyboards from alphabet to emoji causes no issue.
I was using my Iphone today and the U.S female Siri stopped announcing and Samantha advanced took over. So I shut down my Iphone and turned it on again to no avail, it was still Samantha. So I went to VoiceOver voices and discovered the U.S female wasn't downloaded, that's weird, so I redownloaded the U.S female Siri and it works again. I also have advanced Tom downloaded on my phone as well as advanced Samantha. Has this happened to anyone else?
