Today skype released its new version for iOs, (version 3.6). sadly, its more inaccessible than the previous version. for now, the chat message history is completely inaccessible and it is impossible to use this part of the app.
I copy here the response I got from contacting skype support for the first time (it was just after apple vis campaign of the month launch).

Hi All,
I may have come across a major issue in iOS 12.01. Not sure about iOS 12.0. On iPhone 8 I cannot add new contacts. I had a call and decided to make a contact. I clicked as normal on addd new contact but you can't update the fields. Very similar to what happened with messenger a few months ago you hear the letters a VO bump noise but it does not put any letters in the fields. I reset the phone as well just to be sure and same issue. Has anyone else seen or can recreate this or is this just me?

My apologies, it seams that my speaker was not receiving the appropriate charge, and this, is why I was not receiving the proper battery charge status. The latest version of the app still holds battery charge accessibility.

IF you use the JBL connect iOS app to check the battery status on your JBL supported speaker todays update breaks this functionality. I will be contacting JBL support in the coming days.

hey guys
the latest version of the fios tv app version 2.0 has a major accessability issue, especially for those that use the guide tab to go through the list of channels. Now when you go to this tab, all touches are ignored by voice over and as a result voice over is quiet. I hope this can get fixed soon. The only workaround for this right now is to stay on the home tab and go through pages and pages to find the channel your looking for

I applied the Apple TV update released today and was horrified to discover that both my movie wishlist and TV show favorites list tabs had disappeared. At first I thought that the Apple TV had lost the ability to display these, but the buttons to add titles to the lists was still around and when I added some items, the tabs came back. Since then, I have had a single occurence of the new wishlist tab telling me that I had not added any movies to the list and that I needed to add one before the list could be displayed. In this case a restart of the Apple TV fixed the problem.

When I visit the homepage I no longer see the latest accessibility ratings section.
It’s quite useful, since it allows me to discover new apps. Was this section removed? Or is my phone just not displaying the page correctly?

The Washington Post app seems not to work well with VoiceOver (have not updated to iOS 10). Has anyone else had similar trouble? Is there any way to make it work more smoothly?

Hi everyone I hope you're doing well and staying safe I'm running macOS Monterey on a 2019 MacBook Pro and iOS 15 on a seventh gen iPod touch. I have a mostly foreign-language video with embedded subtitles that I've got. What programs can I use to watch this video on macOs or ios and have the subtitles read out to me by VoiceOver? Would Nplayer do the job or is this functionality broken in the latest update, if it is what alternatives would people recommend? Hi, I sometimes watch foreign movies or shows with my parents. Our Apple Tv is too old to have Voiceover on it, and even if it did, they wouldn't want to hear the subtitles read out, so my best solution is manually synching up my phone with the TV and listening to the subtitles through headphones. This mostly works, but it's super annoying when I get out of synch, and also, it can be hard to hear which character is speaking since the subtitles are read in one voice.

I've got some MKV files On my computer, that I want to be able to watch them on my iPhone or iPad. I know that I have to convert these files to mp4s, However, I'm having trouble finding a program to do this. Someone said you could use VLC player, and just use iTunes sharing to drop the file into VLC, which I did, but VLC has no audio playing with the video. I looked it up on the app store, and several other people were having the same trouble As I was with the video playing fine, but have no audio.

Looking for: Ability to watch same content on a TV and an iPad so son with low vision can feel included and watch movies with the family.
I understand many streaming websites (Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Amazon Prime Video, etc.) will leverage DRM (Digital Rights Management) technology to block or restrict access to Copyright protected content.
When we screen share from the iPad to the Apple TV we can see the content on the TV but it doesn't play on the iPad for someone with low vision to watch along.

Ever since the pandemic hit and schools closed, my water intake has gone down. I’d drink more water when at school but now it has dropped from low to no intake. I don’t know whether it’ll be right to post here but I was looking for some way to track my water intake.
Is there a way to track my water intake in the health app? As it is accessible and I use it already. If no, are there any accessible free apps for that? Which can provide with accurate info?

As a lot of us are out of work right now you may be waking up and going to bed different times and finding your phone is confused when it comes to optimized charging. A lot of the times I wake up and find my phone is not fully charged. I know we can turn this feature off but it would be nice if apple would let us have more control over this such as adjusting the schedule and maybe doing a temp pause in the feature. I guess for right now it's best to turn this off since we are not in our normal routines.
