So I'm getting some hardware, a Novation Launchpad mini, not that it really matters. I'm assuming the box, or stuff inside it, has setup instructions of some sort, since they basically say you hook it up and then do setup, possibly on the web. So I assume it at least has to tell you where to go. I want to try and deal with all of this myself, using the iPhone for recognition stuff.
<p>Hello All, After Annonymouse's recent podcast on the newly-released Be My Eyes app, I have downloaded it and have tried to set up an account. However, it gets stuck in "indeterminate progress" after I double tap the Register button. If I close the app and reopen it, I get an error alert telling me the account was unable to be created and suggesting that I verify that I have an active Internet connection. This happens while I'm connected to wifi and can successfully get into any other app which requires Internet access.
Hi its Carlos,
I just redown load the be my eyes app.
And when I tried to connect to a sighted helper,
I noticed that the audio coming threw the speaker changed like I was making a phone call.
when I ended the session or stoped the trying to attempt to connect request the audio would not return to normal.
usually when a phone call ends voiceover returns to normal.
also there was another time when I tried to connect to be my eyes,
and in that instance the audio went to the phone ear peace not to the speaker.
Sorry if this has been answered before. I read the BeMyEyes privacy policy and I'm wondering if I understood it correctly. As I understand it, if you use Be My AI, the images and text you send are used to train the underlying models and you can't opt out of that, is that correct?
Hello again!
Be my Eyes do not work for me. I activated an account as blind, and when I logged in, what can I do? there is 0 helper, settings, 100%, 22k, blind, be my Eyes network etc.
How will I find any helper? how will we connect each other by video call? It's wierd!!! Can I choose someone helper or it is random World wide or specifik country? How can I see who are online or not?
While I was out walking, I tried to use Be My Eyes and ran into the following problem. I was quickly connected with a volunteer and could speak to them briefly. After a few seconds, I lost the audio. Not sure if they could hear me but I could not hear them. I had to end the call and try again. The problem persisted.
Not sure if this is a problem with my cellular connection or if it is an issue since updating to the latest version of iOS. I had a strong 5G connection when I made the call.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
This is the first time needing to call a volunteer with be my eyes since be my AI came out. I've notice that when on hold the sound is going through the earpeace instead of the speaker and then when a volunteer comes on it comes out the speaker like normal. Is this normal behavior?
Hello. Has anyone had issue with using the Siri Shortcut to "Call a volunteer with Be My Eyes"? I tried showing it to someone who has an iPhone 14 Plus running the latest iOS 18*** and it says that this is not setup yet with Be My Eyes. But when I try it on my iPhone 14 (not Plus) running the same version of iOS, it works fine.
Hello.
For my own reasons, I needed a be my eyes volunteer that is "not" from the country where I live to help me with something.
So I switched my be my eyes language (both app and in the settings) to language X, which is spoken very far away from me across the world, but in which I'm also extremely fluent.
Hi all.
I am a beginner user of ifone.
I was an android user for many years.
I am using an ifone xs 512 gb.
I was wondering if it is possible to transfer some music on to the ifone using google drive or any other cloud service instead of having to use itunes?
Ok I've posted about this before and got little to no help. It might have not been clear what I was trying to explain so let me try step by step. This morning I had fifteen updates available. I triple tapped, flicked and double tapped on "updates". Then I swiped down the screen, hearing, "add money to account," Personalized recommendations, followed by a right arrow. Then I hear available updates, then update all, but it's not a button. If I tap it, I'm put into one of the updates and I can update only one app. I backed out and tried again.
I finally took the plunge and experimented customizing the control center, at first it took a little trouble. I watched some videos and felt that the sighted ones are having so much fun with it and doing all sorts of customizing. I also read some articles and help pages to be able to finally understand how to customize the Control Center.
I am sure you all know how to do it, but if you are not on IOS 18.1.1 you might not be able to do it. So let me start with how my Control Center looks as of now.
Hello,
For storage reasons is it best to delete requests after you're done listening to replys or is keeping them ok? Do they take up much storage?
Thanks
Can anyone recomend one of the "Where Am I " type of apps?-is there one that is most reliable, address-wise?. There are several to choose from in the App Store. The app "Where the Hell Am I" is reviewed here. I thoght I'd ask before giving it a try. Thanks!
Hi,
I'm wondering what is the best alarm clock radio that runs on iOs and the iPhone 6. I know about "Oootunes", but that doesn't have recurring alarms. Can anyone recommend one? I'm in the U.S., I know some radio apps are limited to radio stations from other countries, but I'd prefer something that also has U.S. stations.

While I have no problem using the regular keyboard that comes with iOS, I understand that you can also use third-party keyboards. I was just curious as to which ones are the best to use along with Voiceover? I have Fleksy on my system, including the old version specifically for VO, but have heard there are some issues using it as an alternative keyboard. Is this true?
Also, how do you switch to a different keyboard?
Hi everyone. Currently I'm watching the Hockey game between Aneim Ducks and Edmonton Oilers on 63?. I recommend getting the app on your iPhone because they have a great commentary for blind and visually impaired individuals.
Go Oilers Go!!!
