When I record videos by my iPhone, my videos include Voice Over speech at beginning and end due to my control. Do you recommend some tips to avoid this?

I just thought I'd let everyone know that the updated version of WeatherBug Elite (the paid version of WeatherBug), version 2.0, has some accessibility issues. The bottom row of buttons are unlabelled, and the forecast display interface is a little difficult to navigate. I plan to email the developer, as this used to be a really solid weather app. Its main attraction for me was being able to access the text forecasts issued by the National Weather Service.

I figured this was worth creating a new topic. I know some are reluctant to upgrade to iOS 7.1 because of issues people have had with Bluetooth keyboards in the new version. A workaround was suggested in the blog comments, and I have done some testing with this workaround and find it very helpful. I will share what I've found here.

First off, I use my iPhone bilingually; Dutch and English. Dutch being the main language the iPhone is set to and English accessed via the language rotor.
I had a bit of a shock after installing IOS 6. What happened was that the Dutch voice seemed to take on English pronunciation rules, giving me a rather muddled and odd experience. After doing a reboot the pronunciation seemed to be back the way I was used to, until I used an app that didn't support Dutch, so automatically defaulted to English.

i have purchaced stress check and instant heart rate, and they are... um, nearly accessible.
the instant heart rate is verry acurat if you place your fingertip correctly.
anyway i have contacted azumio and asked them to visit applevis and put their products at the database since i couldn't spot them, and ask comments from experienced users here, to make their apps more accessible.
their new app, sleep-time seem to be awesome!

Hi all,
I have noticed that since the last ios update that on the Apple news app, the back key on news stories is missing. To get the back key back, I have to close the app and double tap the app again and the back key magically reappears. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Ever since I was in high school, I've used the Day One app to keep a journal.
At the beginning of 2025, I had a 9 day streak but then forgot to write one day, so lost my streak.
This resulted in me asking in their Facebook group if there was anything I could do to save it.
Indeed, there is. You can backdate entries! :)
My questions to this community are:
1. How do I do this with Voiceover
2. Which entries should I backdate to catch myself up to today?

What is the new background app refresh feature in iOS 7 for? In iOS 6, my apps still give me new notifications even if they are closed and not in the app switcher, so what is the difference between that and background app refresh? Thank you.

Hi all,
I'm trying to back up my Voicedream library to ITunes, obviously, so I can update to the new version that came out awhile ago... but i can't get it to work. I can't figure out how to do it with NVDA or JAWS(I hate ITunes) but even having someone do it with vision didn't work. nobody can get it to save to the folder I created for it. We find the folder and click save to and select the folder (tried with jaws (tried with nvda as well as visually) and click save and it does nothing... help? I really want to upgrade!

Good day, I am using a IPHONE XR. With IOS 14.2. And, would like to know? How can I get my device to make a propper back up of my contacts to Icloud? I signed into my Apple account with my old 6Sand the contacts that it retrieved from Icloud were only about 50% of my actual contacts? I cannot work out what the problem might be. I will appreciate any advice!

Hi,
I'm about to move from an iPhone 6S to an 8 or 8 plus in a couple of weeks.
I'm using the iCloud for my back up. But, I opnly see some of my apps listed with regard to back up when I look at settings and iCllllllloud on the phone.
Currently 2 gigs of the 5 gigs or about 40% are used.
I know I have a lot more apps than are listed in iCloud settings on the phone.
How do I make sure that all of them get backed up before I upgrade?

I was wondering if anyone knew of a reliable method for backing up iMessages from the iPhone? I need to restore my phone to its factory settings, but have several conversations that I would really rather not lose.
I have been doing some research over the last few days, but can't seem to find something both current and accessible.

Hey folks: I've decided to take advantage of the free battery replacement that Apple is offering for the iPhone5. Yes, my unit is eligible.
I have iCloud set to backup my documents/data/accounts, pictures/vids, calendars, reminders and a few other things. I don't really care about mail and the rest of it.
When I look at my current iCloud backup it's only taking up half a gig...In contrast, my phone storage is about 6gb. What gives?
