watchOS and Apple Watch Apps

OK, I've even talked to Apple Accessibility about this now on about the 3rd supposed senior advisor, and I'm either being told with no explanation that I'm "not doing this right," or I'm being told "I don't know, and don't really have an active way to test things on my end." I'm therefore hoping and praying someone in the Applevis community will know what on earth is wrong.

Hi everyone, after getting a new phone and pairing my apple watch 5, voiceover lags a lot on the watch. I touch something and don't get a response until a second or 2. This didn't happen when I updated to Watch OS 8 or when the watch was paired with iPhone 11, only when I paired it with my iPhone 13 pro a few days ago.
I force restarted, turned voiceover on and off, even paired and unpaired but nothing fixed it.

Hi all,
I got the Apple Watch 3 yesturday, and really took it for a spin today. I updated to the latest WatchOS update last night, and since then VoiceOver isn't reading Siri output. That is, after using Hey Siri, and asking to read the wind speed, I have to flick around on the screen to see what the output was, compared to yesturday when i started using it, VO read the output on its own.
Is this a bug, or might this have something to do with the auto-speak option I find when flicking up and down on the watch face?
Thanks

Hello all,
I recently baught an Apple watch seeries 10. I've got it paired to and iPhone 14. I notice that sometimes with Voiceover running, it keeps saying "Notification centre" over and over again. I don't know why, and sometimes it just takes a slight movement. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi,

I'm running with the original Apple Watch, Series 0 I suppose it is. Right off the bat I found VoiceOver to be somewhat sluggish at times, even just reading the time. As of Watch OS 4, it seems pretty slow to respond. I know that even the Series 1 has an upgraded processor, as has every series since.

My general question is, what have other people's experiences been with the newer series Apple Watch and VoiceOver responsiveness?

Thanks,

Hello, I have noticed after the latest update that my watch won't speak when it restarts. I have to ring my number from another phone, or attempt to play the sound on my watch using the find my app on my iPhone. The sound does not come through straightaway, except for the sound I get when attempting to turn on VoiceOver. Turning the screen reader on and off again does not solve the problem.

Hi, I’ve had my Apple Watch for a little under a year now and I’ve begun recently having an issue that I’m hoping someone can help me with. my voiceover has quit speaking I’m not sure if I’m bumping the face of the watch or exactly what’s happening but voiceover stop speaking and all the settings are turned on voiceover is on volume is up ET see there seems to be nothing wrong just no speech. Can someone help me. The only way that I found to fix the problem is to let the battery run down and charge the watch then voiceover comes back. any insights would be helpful.

Alright, so I ran into a small odd bug recently and was curious to know if others have also encountered it.

Hi there:

Is it just me or after updating my apple watch series 7 to watchOS 9.2 the sensitiveness of voiceover is a real mess.

I used to have the one-hand gestures active for those times I can’t press my apple watch with my second hand, but since I updated, the watch keeps speaking out loud and moving the voiceover focus every time I rase my hand, and much worse, while I was training every time I touched the screen the focus moved all around, and therefore I had to pause my exercise like 5 times; so I decided to turn off those gestures, but more continues happening.

Hi All

When I get an incomingcall the ringTone sounds very briefly then stops. This does not happen when voiceover is switched off. I am missing important calls because of this and any help is greatly appreciated.

I have an Apple watch, Series 6, running IOS 9. now, when I unlock, or wake up the watch to get the time, it speaks the time, as WELL as the temperature, the high, and low. So, basically it reads my weather complication as well. But, I just want it to speak the time. It JUST started doing this yesterday. How can I make it JUST SAY the TIME!!! I'm a HARD core braille user, and I wear a braille watch in edition to my Apple watch, so I DON't have to use speech. How do I get VoiceOver to ONLY speak the time when unlocked? Thank you for any assistance.

Hello,

I had a small question to ask others, in the hopes that perhaps their might be an answer. Now I know that on the Apple Watch, one can perform a two-finger double tap and hold and move their fingers up or down to adjust the VoiceOver volume. Is there a gesture to adjust VoiceOver's speech rate, besides going into the watch's settings through the Watch app on the iPhone?

Hopefully there is one, but from what I have been reading online, I can't seem to find one. Thanks!.

Morning all,

I just purchased an Apple Watch 42mm. It is running OS 2.2 and has been fine for a day and a half. Suddenly, it has started to stutter and read in a most interupted fashion - as if the watch is not capable of running it. This is particularly noticeable when touching activity. It is baffling. I reset the device but hacked it up. Any thoughts or help welcome. Thanks.

Hey everyone. I posted a week or so ago about voices other than compact ones that you can get for the Apple Watch series 7, as I was looking at purchasing one. I just happened to have been given one yesterday and I was playing around with it, and I managed to somehow get the Irish Siri female voice to work on it. God knows how though. Anyway, I actually wanted to get the American female one. Does anyone know of how I could go about that? I’m still figuring out little things on it, and I’m loving being able to do the ECG and o2 stats.

Hi There community,

I recently updated my Apple Watch Series 10 to the latest Watch OS 11.1.

Prior to updating i always used to keep my voiceover volume on the watch at the lowest level at around 5%.
This would allow me to discretely listen to my Watch notifications without disturbing the people around me and also maintaining my privacy.

Ever since i have updated from Watch OS 11 to Watch OS 11.1, i find that the minimum volume on Voiceover is extremely loud, much louder than what it used to be.

Hello.
Does anyone know if there is a quicker way of adjusting the voiceover volume on the Apple Watch without using the Apple Watch App on the iPhone? I've had my watch for 2 days now, and still trying to get to grips with it.

Many thanks...

Hi everyone, I hope you're doing well. I got an Apple Watch Series 7 for Christmas, and I have noticed an issue with it. When I try to independently change VoiceOver's volume, it will not change at all. I've tried using the Volume rotor and changing it in Settings, restarting VoiceOver, and restarting the watch. The only way I've been able to change VoiceOver's volume at all is when I change the system volume. It also changes after I use Siri or something like that. I'm using watchOS 11.2. Is anyone else having this problem, and does anyone know how to fix it?

Is there a way to modify the Accessibility of the AppleWatch controller title. It's the title in the upper left hand side. There does not appear to be a way to turn this off or to add an accessibilityLabel to replace the title.

Has anyone tried to change this?

Thanks
