Hi. I read somewhere on Applevis that it is now possible to select your SIRI voice and use it as your Voiceover voice on an Apple Watch. I have a Series 3 watch and cannot locate any options, under Accessibility, to activate this. Is this facility available on a Series 3 watch, or is it confined to Series 4 and Series 5? Also, are such facilities available in the United Kindom, where I'm based, or only in the U.S? I am running IOS 13 on my IPhone and Watch OS 6 on my watch.

I don’t really feel comfortable constantly looking at my phone for navigation when I’m in an unfamiliar location as a totally blind person, so I thought an Apple Watch might serve me well. Should I get a new one? What do you think? Can you use navigation apps like Google Maps or Apple Maps on the watch, and does it improve your travel experience?

Hi everyone. I've been enjoying using dictation on my new Apple watch (Series 2). However, when I go in to Facebook messenger, dictate the message and then double tap with two fingers to finish the dictation, instead of giving me the interpretation of what I've said, the app simply sends the message. Obviously, this makes the app pretty difficult to use on the watch since often I have to try the dictation once or twice to get it totally accurate. Just wondered if any other messenger users had experienced this issue? Dictation works as it should in all of the other apps.

I have heard that there is a way to use airPods with the watch and have a couple of times had it happen by accident. How do I do it on purpose?

Hello. I have an apple watch sport. It works really great and I have paired it with a bluetooth headset. I would need some advice to how to save battery when I do because I am not sure.
I have syncronized the apple watch with all mhy music. I am allways listening to Enya. I have 52 songs by her that I have bought on iTunes with my iPhone. But I would need some advice to how to save battery when I am using it as an iPod. Because the mode to save battery life turns off VoiceOver so this doesn’t work.

hi all so i am still considering my purchase of an apple watch but i do have a sensible question today. if i get tapped on the wrist can i lift it, without activating voiceover as i hear that is now possible and say hey siri, read my text whilst out and about. then have siri read it dictate reply and lower wrist? or do i still need to stop click with the crown and or touch screen read the message, find reply hit that then dictate? what i guess i'm trying to work out is how hands free is siri on an apple watch vs just pulling my iPhone out of my pocket?

Hello everyone.
I have just taken delivery of my new Apple Watch series 7, stainless steel 45 mm. With the new qwerty keyboard that I know is now available, can I slide to type, or, can I use direct touch typing as we can on the iPhone using VoiceOver? This does not seem possible, and seems quite frustrating to use. I also assume, that the always on display, will not really benefit those who have no site, so it is worth turning off?

Hi! I have iPhone SE 2020 and Apple Watch 7. I've found that I can control my iPhone audio via Apple Watch: to start playing, for example, an audio book on iPhone and then pause/restart it via Watch.
When I start audio on iPhone, I see the "stop", "previous" and "next" buttons on my watchface. It works, but I wonder if I can use the VoiceOver Magic Tap on my Apple Watch to pause/restart audio, like on iPhone. I mean, just to wake my watch up and use the Magic Tap. For me it doesn't work for now, but maybe it can be set up in some way?

I'm trying to figure out whether the S2 watch has a rotor, but I hear nothing when I move my fingers on the screen. Of course, I'm just on the home screen and trying to do this on the smallish face of the watch. I think mine's the 45mm screen or something like that/it's the bigger one, my friend says. Of course, this is the person who gave me the watch as stated here before.

I've just updated to a new iPhone17 pro running IOS26.1. I have pared my 9 series Apple watch running watch OS11.62. However the ability to change the voice via the rota seems to have disappeared.
Is this the new normal?

Hello everyone, I have just bought my first apple watch. I have the model 4.4. I tried to start voicedream reader, which appears to be available on my apple watch. However, when I double tab on the screen, the voice over says: "loading" and nothing happens. Later on, the apple watch restarts. I tried to reinstal voice dream reader on my iphone with the same result. Anyone has any suggestions? Thank you.

Hi Applevis members.
In watchOS 26 I have notice that my preferred voice on the watch which is Stephanie UK keeps reverting back too Daniel which is the default for British English. This issue occurs every time when I reboot my watch not present in watch OS 11.
So every time I am redownloading and redownloading when my watch runs out of battery.
Is there any way to stop this or when is exactly apple going to find a solution to this problem.
Apple is such a buggy company this days the hardware is absolutely amazing but their software is atrocious

I recently got a new Apple Watch (I think either Series 7 or Series 8.) My previous watch was a Series 3/4, so this was an upgrade.
I've run into a strange bug with my new watch that never happened with my older watch.
Randomly, and without notice, Voice Over will stop speaking on the watch. Haptics will still work, the watch will still say Voice Over is active (if my sighted husband looks at it for me). Looking at the Watch app on my iPhone indicates Silent mode is "off".
