Hi, Sorry if this has been asked already but has anyone else experienced their chosen Apple watch voice disappearing while the watch was on charge after updating to watch OS10.1?
Very annoying especially when you go in to the speech settings and your chosen voice is still selected and after re-downloading the voice it automatically reverts back to it.
Also since the OS10 update the way the watch reads the weather complication is awful you just get a string on information instead of just swiping hour by hour.
I had a question regarding the latest watch update, watch OS 11.2 I believe.
I haven't updated yet because I saw a post saying there's a volume issue. Curious how many of you are experiencing that. I have the watch series 9, and the constant notification to update is getting on my nerves that I may just do it anyway.
The issue I am referring to is that the VoiceOver volume decreases a lot after an alarm is activated, which would affect me since I use an alarm every day.
I was told that the volume issues I have experienced in Watch OS 11 would be fixed by OS 11.3 but that has not happened. Is there a fix that I don't know about, something in settings that maybe I can change?
Hi all. I know it says hold to talk, I do, fine. Can someone do a podcast or if I din't know of it, tell me. If you can just tap, talk, let go, is it sent? Hope I made sense. Thanks.
I have noticed that after upgrading to Watch Os 6, when the Weekly Summary appears on Monday, the adjustable move goal level is no longer adjustable by swiping up or down. There seems no way to dismiss the summary but to accept the displayed number of calories, and if one desires to change it, it must be done in the Activity App. I was told by an Apple associate that there are plus and minus buttons that are invisible to VoiceOver. Has anyone else noticed this, and does anyone know a fix to it besides using the Activity app?
I thought I would post this in the hopes that maybe others are also encountering this glitch. I've recently purchased an Apple Watch Series 1 and am loving it more and more. I have accepted that this is really an expensive toy, one which I have found some uses for it.
I just got the Apple Watch Series 2 42mm running Watch 3.1 with Voice Over. I've taken a few calls with it with no problem but on 3 occasions it has irretrieveably crashed. Voice Over went completely silent and couldn't be turned on either using the Crown or the iPhone Watch App. On one occasion it made very alarming squawking noises. The only way the fix it was to get someone to turn it off and it worked normally when switched back on. Has anyone experienced anything like this?
I seem to have a memory issue with my watch. It reports that I have 4.8GB of memory of the onboard 8GB. Okay.
But even with no apps, music, media of any kind, and mail all empty, I have 2GB used, and only 2.8 available. I installed the only two apps I use, and I am down to 2.5GB.
This is an issue when I did the latest WatchOS 7 upgrade. Nothing I did would get me to the required 3.1GB open needed to do the update. Well, nothing other than a factory reset. I did that, and got the update.
Hello there. Ever cense upgrading to watch OS 11.2, (unintentionally) my watch will no longer go to sleep when I put my wrist down. I've made sure sleep on wrist down was on in accessibility/voiceover and I even tried resetting my watch. I've tried all the things, including rebooting the watch, resetting to factory settings and still no luck. Is anyone else having this issue? I'm running the series 8. I hope my motion sensor is not broken and I really don't wanna have to get a new watch nor go to an apple stor to get this checked out.
Hello, I'm running WatchOS 10.2 on an Apple Watch series 9 and I have two problems:
1. Every time I get a notification the Apple Watch plays the alert sound like on the iPhone and speaks the word "alert".
2. Swiping between watchfaces with two fingers is very difficult, most of the times it recognises a double tap instead of a swipe. Before WatchOS 10 with an Apple Watch SE it worked perfectly.
This year, with all the moving parts, we did not cover accessibility changes in watchOS 11 with our editorial content. (This need is something we are definitely aware of for next year.) People have been asking, though, so I wanted to start a thread specific to VoiceOver and braille changes in watchOS 11. To help keep things organized, if you want to discuss VoiceOver/braille bugs in watchOS 11, please use this existing topic.
What features or enhancements would you like to see in watchOS 12?
I've always wanted to see a feature with VoiceOver so that you can set your speech volume to past 100%.
Another feature I would like to see is the rotor option added into VoiceOver settings like on iOS.
If the whole community worked together, maybe we can get Apple to add these features.
How about you? What would everyone like to see in watchOS 12?
I just update to Watch OS 6.01 on a series 4. When the watch updated and I had to enter the PIN to access the watch voice over did not work. Lucky I have enough vision to just see the numbers. but this is not really acceptable. So if you rely on voice over completely you will need a sighted friend to log into your watch.
I've just upgraded my Apple Watch 4 to WatchOS 7. Previously I would get a notification that would appear on my watch. I would triple-click to enable Voiceover and it would read the notification to me straight away.
Hi
I have Apple Watch 5. I noticed that after updating to watchOS 9.0 the battery is draining faster. Previously my watch lasted all day but now I need to charge it at least twice a day. Has everyone else experienced this?
Thanks
Since updating my cellular Apple Watch 8 to OS 9.2 I am finding that every couple of days the Voiceover speech stops. Randomly with no occurance pattern the watch will do a long vibration and speach will stop. The hapticks still happen when I swipe the screen. I can still turn Voiceover on an off using the accessibility shortcut on the watch but even after doing this the speech does not restart. The watch is then completely inaccessible for me and I have to get sighted assistance to power off then power the watch back on.
I'm not exactly sure when this got introduced but I"m posting here in case someone has found a work-around. Essentially, I get a notification from my watch that someone has completed a workout, but no matter what I try, I cannot get VoiceOver to read the name of the person. I can read every other detail of what they've done, how many calories they've burned, just not who they are. My only work-around for this is to press the crown to get rid of the notification without dismissing it, then bring up notification center and find the notification that I just got rid of.
I apologize for cross posting but this iOS fiitness App also works on the Apple Watch.
I am the developer of an Apple Watch fitness App that uses text to speech (TTS) to offer verbal instructions for gym users. This feature provides audible instructions on your next exercise (weight, reps) and an audible signal to indicate the end of a rest time between exercises. All data will sync seamlessly with the iPhone App.
I'm having an issue with an app with WatchTube which if you'll have not yet heard of that app. It's an app only for your Apple Watch that lets you listen to videos on your Apple Watch without having your iPhone with you. My issue is whenever I click on a video and go the video player, i get an eror message that says Error Message: This helps protect our community learn more. the data couldn't be read because it is missing. Can anyone help me fix this issue?
Hi, I have some questions about water lock. I tried to turn the digital crown on so now when I turn the crown water lock will go off but once I get it off, I can’t figure out how to get it back on even after I end my workout or go out of the water, my screen will just unlock really quickly and I can’t tap anything on the screen I can’t power down or do any double tapping the second that I push the crown the watch says what’s on the screen and unlock and then locks back up, it won’t even let me tap touch the screen. I can’t even swipe up for control center or anything.
