hey all
i intend to buy a macbook nearly
i have a question about something i noticed when i went to the store and tried both macbook air and pro with retina display
when i turned the VO on in both macbooks, i realized that the macbook pro's speaker is quite higher than the macbook air
note: i just tried voiceover not any other application
so if that right? or it's just an illusive feeling
i have another simple question for mac users
if i have a large amount of docx files, will they work properly via pages?
Apple Hardware and Compatible Accessories
From MacDailyNews:
Apple has been working on its next-gen of the iPhone SE, and a recent Bloomberg News report revealed that it should launch sometime next year. 9to5Mac sources, who offered precise details about the iPhone 16 in advance, have now spilled the beans about what to expect from the iPhone SE 4.
Hello,
Anyone else out there using MacID with a BT LE, also known as BT 4.x headset? For those not familiar, MacID allows you to use your iPhone or Apple watch or Pebble watch to unlock your Mac or enter the system password whenever the system asks for it. The app for the IOS as well as for the OSX is accessable so kudos to the developer for that.
From an article on MacRumors (

āSerial leaker Sonny Dickson hasĀ
shared an image
on social media purporting to show a case designed for Apple's unannounced iPhone SE 4. The case aligns with most rumors about the device, expected to
launch in the spring, but there is one difference.
Rumors have suggested that the iPhone SE 4 will have a designĀ
similar to the iPhone 14,
Made for iPhone Hearing Aids.
Hello,
Are there any applevis users out there using or planning to purchase a made for iPhone hearing aids?
Hi,I am testing the starky halo 2 i2400 hearing aids. I've got them paired to my phone and so far there working great. I only have one problem. I can't get the Iphones notifications to come through the hearing aids. under mfi audio routing everything is set to auto. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hello,
Anyone out there using a pair of made for iPhone hearing aids with an Apple watch?
I am able to pair a pair of BT headset with the watch and VO is routed correctly. But I canāt seem to figure out how to route VO to the Has. Is this even possible?
I have a pair of Starky Halos and have the Trulink app installed on my watch.
Thanks.
Hello all. Iām sure many of you know that Apple released a new keyboard case for the iPad Air Four and the iPad Pro third and fourth generations. I recently bought it about a month ago and i have had some issues with it when using VoiceOver. First, whenever i try using the shift, control, and other keys on the keyboard, it sends me to the status bar and i have to use the screen to get me out of it. If I try and use the control option and command keys + the right and left arrow keys to ove the Roder, it again sends the VoiceOver cursor to the status bar.
Hi all. I just purchased a Magic Trackpad for my Mac Mini. I really love it. but, I have an interesting question. Is it possible to not only assign new preconfigured VO jestures to the Trackpad, but, can you actually make your own commands. like for example, I'd like to be able to swipe up and dow with 2 fingers only on the left side of the pad to change the volume. Up with 2 fingers to turn it up and down with 2 fingers to turn it down. and maybe try to do some other things. What do you guys think? If anyone has anything on the subject, please let me know in a comment below.
I am a low vision user that depends on CC-TVs, but many of the magnification apps are getting good enough to think about switching to use the ipad. All I really need is a stand that allows me to move paper material below the camera and that perhaps tilts the ipad a bit. I know there is a stand for OCR apps, but what about when you are using magnification apps? If there is a great stand out there, this combination would really improve my situation. Thanks for any information.
I just bought a MagSafe wireless charger. Please excuse my silly question! I plugged the charger in to charge itself. After a couple of hours, unplugged it and put my phone on it. Charging did not start. So my question, to use this thing, do you keep it plugged in and just place the phone on it for a charge? I thought this was something like a power bank that you can carry and use where ever. Thanks all!
Hi all.
So I've noticed, mostly by being on one floor while the Airpods are on another and having my phone not speak, that when I take my Airpods out of my ears and put them down somewhere, they haven't actually disconnected. Usually I tap the screen to start the phone unlocking to check and see if I have speech, but sometimes I forget.
I think the solution here is a tripod for my phone, but what do others think? I often want to demo to a developer how some aspect of their Windows software is inaccessible. I have tried taking screen shots, but it doesnāt show me actually attempting to use the inaccessible feature.
What I really need to do is make a video clip of me using the software while I explain the problem (see how focus tracking is bad hereā or āsee how the only way you can arrange the columns in this grid is by dragging and droppingā.
I have a home pod (not mini). The person who sold me the home pod is visually impaired, as am I. I tried doing the regular manual reset, EG hold a finger on the top, but it is not working. When I touch the top Voiceover says that there is no wifi/ canāt connect to the wifi.
Hello abbl. As the subject line of this post indicates, I might need hearing aids sooner rather than later. Have is how I found myself in what is now a very scary situation. Last week my Bluetooth speaker had somehow gotten into pairing mode and paired with my computer. As a result, I got a blast of sound directly into my left ear. That resulted in a sudden hearing loss that scared the living daylights out of me. Things have improoved, but my hearing isn't back to where it was before that happened.
Hi guys,
How in the world do you change the tips on airpod 2nd gen pro? I've looked endlessly on Google, seen a post here that seems to indicate this is easy. However, I haven't a clue. Maybe being thick and don't want to break things but I can't do it. Any tips?
Hi.
Today I looked at two speakers. ue megaboom and bose sound link revolve plus.
Wich of these is better?
I can't decide on wich to buy. the revolve is more expensive.
Can I use siri with both of these?
The problem with my jbl charge 3 was that there was too much delay between the phone and the Bluetooth speaker.
I'm interested in some form of memory expansion for my iPhone. I've seen a couple of options: a Lightning/USB flash drive and a Lightning/USB SD card reader. There are several brands of each. Each brand seems to have an associated app for accessing the external memory. Frankly, I'm overwhelmed by the choices.
I'd appreciate any thoughts or suggestions regarding these devices and their associated apps. Which apps are accessible and which are not? Can these devices be accessed by apps other than their specific branded app? e.g., FileBrowser?
I saw an article when doom-scrolling on X today, and learned that Meta had expanded AI to Canada. Once I updated the app, my mind was pretty much blown. The reading text is accurate and the scene description is short and accurate. I can't wait to play with them more tomorrow.
Hang in there UK peeps, it will be worth it.
I understand that I need a smart phone with Wi-fi to use the Meta glasses. At home, thatās no problem. But if Iām out and about, and I donāt have a Wi-Fi connection, and I canāt find a Wi-Fi hotspot, it seems Iām out of luck. Has anyone found a way around this problem? It would seem to be a serious limitation, especially for users in rural areas.
