Is there a way to set custom sounds for push notifications? I know you can do it for general things like email and apps themselves, but I would like to find a way to make each app notification have their own sound. For example, my Facely HD app is use for birthday alerts, while my Facebook app itself alerts are for status updates. They both have the same sound so I have to actually look at the phone to determine which one is alerting me. I know I could use an app like Push 4.0 but the alerts are limited to whatever apps they support. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello!
Last night I upgraded to iOS 17 on my iPhone 14 Pro.
Everything works smoothly for now except I can't set the custom message tones in the Sound and Vibration settings. I see the new ones just as the old ones under "Classic" but there are no my custom made tones I have been using for the last eleven years.
Does anyone experienced the same problem and what would be the solution for it?

Hello. I have created a number of voiceover custom gestures that make navigating my old iPhone a bit easier for me. My question is, if I were to get a new phone, our custom gestures backed up to the cloud, so that I do not have to do them all over again on my new device. Or, are they backed up so that when a reset is necessary, the gestures do not have to be done over again. Thank you for any help that can be given on this matter.

I have a joint issue in my hand, so I need to avoid too much repetitive motion. Because of this, I enjoy using grouped navigation to avoid swiping through clutter.
However, I use several non-standard apps and websites. They have many elements I must navigate through to reach what I'm looking for. Some of them even have "categories" (i.e., a cluster of elements at the bottom that should be a tab group but is not labeled as such to VO).
Is there any way I can create my own interactable navigation groups within apps or Web pages?

Hi all, I am trying to replace some text in an app, and wondering if I can use wildcards.
For the shredder chess app, I have been able to replace the algebraic notation such as b1 with bravo 1 to make it easier to understand what column the app is referring to, via the voiceover pronunciation settings.
However, I also need to have it speak out a line in the app that shows the following:
evaluation-1.2
This line refers to the current evaluation of the game, sometimes it shows a plus sign, sometimes a minus sign.

Hey guys, I am wondering how to cut off the dinging sound at the beginning of a screen recording. I tested screen recording a YouTube video then converting it to audio with the AudioConvert app. At the very beginning of the file, the ding that you hear when screen recording starts is heard in the file. Do I need to go into an audio editor and cut that out or is there a way to mute that part? It’s in the original screen recording also.

I've noticed I hadn't received any updates on the app dabel for a while so I thought I'd investigate. When I opened it it said they were currently under maintenance. Upon further research I had found that they moved to a lounge platform and that that they are currently in public beta. I found this information via their twitter just in case anyone was wondering. There twitter has the link to their public beta via testflight.
Anyone know why they decided to leave the live streaming platform? I thought it was a great app for very accessible livestreaming myself.

I am in the United Kingdom and have downloaded "Daily Audio Bible" from the App Store. I have IOS6 on my iPhone 4S and, when I open the application, Voiceover just says "In Progress" and "Loading...". Is there an issue, which anyone knows about, with "Daily Audio Bible"? Does it have problems working with IOS6 or is there an issue because I am in the UK and not the US? Thank you.

Hello,
I have been trying to transfer RNIB Daisy Talking book from USB memory stick to Voice Dream Reader (VDR) on my ipad via Dropbox.
On my pc I have copied the book into zip file, then put into Dropbox. I can get the files on to VDR via Dropbox, but they are blank with no sound. Help! What am I missing? I have transferred mp3 files, from other sources, in the same way and sucessfully.

Does anyone know if DAISY books can be placed and used in I Tunes and on IOS devices? A colleague who has posted a question on the UK's RNIB discussion site has asked the question. In the UK blind and partially sighted people can join the RNIB audio book DAISY library, which offers over 20,000 DAISY audio books on CD, which can be coppied to a variety of devices. These devices usually have DAISY players but I'm not sure if I Tunes can play them.

Has the Daniel enhanced voice on iOS changed. I have downloaded the enhanced voice, but it doesn’t seem to speak as well as it used to. The one on my phone sounds better but the one on my wife’s phone mispronounced certain words that mine pronounces correctly. Has there been a change or is there a bug? is it possible to delete a voice and then re-download it?
