Was setting up an iPhone 16e for my girlfriend the other day that we managed to get at a good price, and couldn't help thinking how much I actually like the phone.
I have a 16 pro max personally, the base 256GB one, but when I was using the 16e, I realised I couldn't help but appreciate how simple it was. Nice, compact, fast, and just the essentials that you need in a phone.
I found the battery to be really good as well, and that's been consistent since after the setup, I also prefer the speakers the 16e, which I believe someone else here said at one point.

I opened up the YouTube iOS app today and I’m noticing on all the videos I pull up, there’s no more time scrubber. I have the buttons to go forward or backward, but that’s it. Hoping this is just a temporary glitch. This would be a serious Impediment to navigating within a YouTube video if it’s gone now or otherwise inaccessible.

Good time everyone. I was searching through our settings>general>language, and I found out that there are different types of English. What are they differences? I understand about the accents, but what are the difference in writing style.

Hi, can anyone tell me the difference between the Sendero gps look around, and the Ariadne gps. I now they both don't have turn by turn. I don't want to buy both apps. Is one more accessible than the other? Is one more accurate? Thanks for any help.

As the subject says, I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between standard speed and high speed in the speech settings of Speech Central. I have tried searching but I've found nothing. Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi all. Feel free to move this if necessary to another forum. I just read a post on here about mowing the lawn with an iPhone in tow, and that got me thinking about something. What is the difference between the compass app and other GPS apps out there? I guess this isn't specific to Apple products, but I'm of course asking as an iPhone user. I know that at least some of these GPS apps provide turn-by-turn directions. Back in fifth grade I used a hand-held Braille compass with an O&M instructor, and it was pretty cool.

I'd like to receive different sound alerts for mails from different senders while still keeping them in their separate folders. From what I understand, you can choose a different sound for different folks you add to your vip folder. But that would mean having all of these mails in one place, which makes no sense since I use different folders for different mailinglists etc.. Any suggestions how to have my cake and eat it? :-)

His appears to be something new in 9.3 tha is VO related. I'm noticing that punctuations and paces are being announced in a different voice now. I use Alex for my main voice, and am hearing Daniel announcing if I read over a punctuation. Not sure if this is a setting with VO, or with the speak screen option or what, and if any setting regarding this can be changed.

I have some accessibility challenges with the UberEATS app. When they added the ability to add restaurants to favorites, The restaurant listing no longer behaves properly with VoiceOver. There are headings within the listing such as "new on UberEats," under 30 minutes," "your go-to's," Etc. but none of the restaurant names beneath these headings are announced with VoiceOver. As I flick right I only hear the favorite button being announced for each item.

Greetings all!
Using my iMac (OS High Sierra), I have been scanning in hard copy documents using an Epson printer/scanner and saving them as PDF files. Unfortunately, I have been unable to read said files using voiceover on my iPhone 7-plus. Should I get a more robust PDF creator that is compatible with my Epson scanner that allows me to make editable PDF files? I've heard good things about the VoiceDream Reader app; should I just get that? Or should I get an OCR reader? Thank you!

Hello,

Today I had to explain to a friend how to change the home screen wallpaper on his iPhone.

Since I haven't done it in a while, I wanted to check how exactly it was done. I went to Settings -> Wallpaper -> Home Screen Wallpaper. A window popped up with some controls on the bottom of the screen.

That window for customizing the home screen wallpaper however did not stay on the screen for long. After a few seconds, it disappeared. And that happens every time I invoke it.

I even restarted the phone, but the behavior did not change.

I'm using an iPhone 8 and when I'm trying to enter numbers from the telephone keypad they sometimes click or just beep without saying that number it is. I can't seem to slide my finger around and hear what number it's under. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? I would run into this problem occasionally on my older phone, but when I need to enter in information in a menu it's next to impossible to do so now and there's no option to speak my answer or default to an operator at the number I'm calling. Any help would be welcome. Thanks for reading.

I have a student who has been independently using an iPad with VoiceOver to complete classroom assignments in the Pages app. Upon returning to school this year, the VoiceOver cursor is getting "stuck". We cannot move left or right with the arrows, the cursor will jump around when typing and creating and especially editing a document is virtually impossible.

When you are viewing the menu for a restaurant in the Uber eats app, there is usually a selector control allowing you to easily flick up or down to move through the different sections of the menu such as entrées, desserts, drinks etc. As of the latest version of the Uber eats app, I cannot locate this selector, making menu navigation extremely difficult. As it was, this selector was already tricky to find. I would have to do a four finger single tap toward the bottom of the screen to navigate to it, but even that does not work now.

I used to use the doordash app quite a bit and found it very accessible, but I’ve had trouble for a while now because when I click on a restaurant to go through the menu things seem to appear willy-nilly, for example when I want to focus on tacos on a Mexican menu and start to flick right I might get the listing for chicken tacos, but if I continue to go right I’ll get listings for Coke, beef burritos, rice, flan, etc., so it’s very hit-or-miss as to trying to find a specific item I may be looking for.

I am a new user of the I phone 5 and have purchased both Digit eyes and Colored eye aps. However can't seem to get either of these to work for me. I have listened to the podcasts, but still something not doing quite right. Any suggestions? I also have the Looktell money reader which is working great for me. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi, have noticed recently that the latest version of digit eyes no longer reads out the cooking instructions of products, which it used too, does it still do it, of does that feature only work on certain products and not all?

I'm new to iPhone and recently purchased Digit-Eyes app after noting many favorable endorsements.

I've not been successful as yet in getting the app to spot a bar code. However, during recent attempts, the D-E screen seems to disappear and the phone's focus gets shifted to the phone's status bar. At this point, I've got to exit the status menu, re-open D-E, which again moves me back to the status bar. D-E seems to continue snapping photos throughout this process.

I've contacted D-E re: this matter but have not heard back from them as yet.

In celebration of the season, Digital Miracles, L.L.C. is offering a 33% holiday price reduction on its popular Digit-Eyes application, making it $19.99. The Digit-Eyes iPhone app is a tool for blind and low-vision users to identify and label products and other physical items.
