It’s an incredibly exciting day for Be My Eyes and the V I community. Be My AI is today moving into an open beta cycle and will be massively expanding its availability over the coming days for iPhone users.

Hello everyone. I know I haven't been posting here for quite some time. I got my first iPhone a year ago, and even though I said I'd be posting a lot of questions, I didn't post on here as much as I thought I would. But now I've run into a litle problem.

good morning I'm asking whether there are apps that are designed specially for the visually impaired or the blind that can help me do correct and useful exercises to enhance my fitness and health, such as: explaining how to do pushups in a right way or how to play accurately in the gym in a good manner etc. thanks Ahmed

I know this is probably a really obvious question, and considering I've been using Apple products for close to a decade, you'd think I'd know the answer, but I don't. So I'm asking, in the native mail app, how can you expand a thread reading with Voiceover? I swear I used to know how to do this, but it eludes me right now. Is there any other tips anyone might have for using the native mail app, besides not using it?

Thanks.

I sent the below message to [email protected] two days ago and, as yet, only an auto-reply acknowledging receipt. Are others experiencing problems? I'm using an iPhone X with the latest IOS.

Hi everyone!

I just applied for NLS, so hoping to get an account with Bard pretty soon. I've really gotten into audiobooks over the past year and now listen to them exclusively.

I'm just curious and wanting to hear from those who use it regularly. What's the book selection like?

Thanks for any info!

Hi all,

I'm considering getting a bluetooth keyboard to use with my iPhone and hopefully a PC a bit later down the line. Thanks to an excellent review here, I'm thinking the keys to go keyboard from logitech might be the way to go for me. Too bad I can't get my hands on one to see it first though.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with accessible q r code readers. My wife and I just bought an accessible apples to apples card game; the cards have braille on them, but there is extra info for each card that you can only get by scanning a q r code. Any experiences or app recommendations would be very much appreciated.

I am running Netflix version 11.15.2 on my iPhone 8 Plus. Before I installed this version, I could browse the home screen of the app by heading to locate the content in which I was interested. I am unable to do so now. There are other issues, as well: In the "Continue Watching" section, for example, it will say something like, "You have watched 28 minutes of 40 minutes, S:1 E5," which I take to mean "season 1, episode 5." The title of the show is obviously missing.

Hi all, As one who uses the new Nuance Vocalizer Expressive voices to develop with them for other platforms, I wanna to explain to you all, what are the iOS 7 voices and which of them are being used when. So, let's start from sirie: The new and better Sirie voices are not Vocalizer Expressive voices. These are custom voices that Nuance or some other company makes a specially for Apple, I think it's Nuance because Apple always works with them on TTS related stuff. Now, let's move on to VoiceOver: In iOS 6, Apple used the Nuance Vocalizer for automotive version 5.5 platform for it's screen read

I have two Bible apps on my iPhone, You Version and Bible Gateway. I would like to copy Vible passages to another app so I can refer to them later. Does anyone know if these apps will allow you to do that? If yes, how do I do that?

Also, do these apps allow you to search for specific Bible passages? If yes, how do I do that? Thanks.

Hi. I was just curious, is there a way to export your text messages and either send conversations to yourself through email, or somehow send them to yourself on the computer? I looked it up and the only things I've found so far are really expensive and require you to install a separate app on your computer. I just want to send them as an email or something to that effect. I guess if there's a way to select the entire conversation at once, I could somehow do that and paste it in to notes and then send the note to myself in an email, but is there an easier way? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Hi all! I am using Pedometer Pro from sport.com and it is very accessible. One of its features is to be able to add a pulse rate/heart monitor. Does anyone have a recommendation of one that works well? I would guess they are bluetooth, is that correct? I want to increase my workouts and would like to be able to track pulse through different levels of conditioning, endurance, fat burn, cool down and that sort of thing. Thanks for any info. Are there any other cool apps that might help me along this workout road? Jim

I am looking for some guidance on a good audio recording convertion and general editing apps please? I recently remembered one of applevis's monthly emails talked about a recording app that took out the background hissing you get when recording. The app in question is called speecap. I tried this and found it great, however, it's not as seemless as say, recup that uploads the audio to dropbox automatically. With speecap, I had to tell it to upload to dropbox and had to put an email address in before it would upload.

Either I've just not realized these buttons were there, or they are new. The first one seems to be a channel or show description button of some type. It shows up between go to live and volume. The other one is to the left of categories. I can't figure out what it is for because nothing seems to change on the screen when I double tap it. I want to help a friend label the buttons, but I don't want to tell him the first button is categories when I have this phantom button here that could completely throw off the order. Can anyone help?

Over the last couple of days I've noticed some extra speech when I turn on my device. Unfortunately I'm unable to decipher what it actually says. Normally Voice Over will come on and announce the time. Now, either just before the time or just after, Voice Over says something that sounds like "unmuted", but as I say, I can't be 100% sure of that! Has anyone else noticed this extra little piece of speech creeping in? And, more importantly, does anyone know what it refers to and why it may have started? A small thing, yes, but it is bugging me! Using iOS6 on a 4th Generation Touch.
