FYI. iOS 12.4 is out. No issues downloading it. update to news, buts fixes and more.
iOS and iPadOS
This version is for older IOS devices that cannot update to IOS 13.x. The device must support IOS 12.x. Apple states some bug fixes and an important security update. I couldn’t find any details. If your device supports IOS 13.x this version will not be available.
I have not noticed any difference between IOS 12.4.1 and 12.4.2.
For those older devices that cannot upgrade to 13.x, IOS 12.4.3 has been released. This is a security update.
I don’t have a copy of the iOS 12 beta although since it’s coming out in a few hours anyway, I don’t suppose it matters.
After listening to the podcast which displays all the new features, one thing I noticed was that the battery feature has become more detailed, Breaking down device usage by hour and app.
However, since I share my iPad with others, I do have some concerns about privacy.
I was wondering if there was a way to hide this new feature, either by placing a passcode on it or turning it off completely.
Is anyone else having problems with selecting a voice for voiceover after updating to iOS 13. When I updated my voice was Tom enhanced end it change by it self. Is anyone else having problems with selecting different voices?
Hello,
I am running the latest version of iOS 13 and since some weeks I have a very stupid bug.... When I am playing music wiht Spotify or any other music app and I lock the screen.... my phone keeps trying to unluck again, again and again!!!!! I have to turn off Voice-Over to lock the phone.
Does someone else also have this problem?
I'm running iOS 13.2.3 on an iPhone 10R. Every three or four days, VoiceOver will start adding a lot of extra punctuation detail when I view my list of emails or messages. I can do a hard re-boot and VoiceOver goes back to reading without all the extra punctuation. I encountered the problem again this afternoon and called Apple Accessibility. They could not find other complaints about this issue. Has anyone else run across this problem?
Under iOS 12 I had created a number of custom shortcuts that asked a question, then a text edit field would pop up in order for me to answer the question.
Now, running these same shortcuts in iOS 13, instead of text edit fields popping up in which I can answer the question, Siri just asks the question and waits for a dictation type audio response. No edit fields pop up.
Is this a bug? What has changed here? Is there a way of recovering the old performance so that I could type my answers?
Thanks.

Hi all,
Just updated to iOS 13 on the morning of Friday September 20th (Thailand time). So far from my experience the one annoying bug I've came across is that, for some reason, whenever I used dictation, it would randomly alternate between English and Thai (the languages I set in my dictation setting), I.E when I said something in English it would sometimes insert text in the Thai language, and vice versa.
Has anyone else experience this bug? Would this bug be fixed in iOS 13.1?
Hello, I tried to update my iPhone XS Max to iOS13 but it seems to be stuck on the apple loading screen for 12+ hours. I tried to use some third party apps to try and pull it out of the loading screen but it didn’t work. It gets to the ‘swipe up to upgrade’ screen and gets stuck at the end of the loading bar. Is there any other way I can fix this without losing data? Thank you.
So my friend has a 6S and as for my post yesterday about her not using voiceover in the middle or the top of the screne, voice control in iOS 13 caught my attention. Since she relies heavily on Siri to read messages and stuff, would voice control work and how is it used exactly?
I just updated to iOS 13.1.2 from iOS 12.4.1. In so doing, I noticed right away that I can no longer enter the amount of a mobile deposit using the keyboard preented by the Wells FArgo app, which has not been updated yet for iOS 13. This indicates possibly something in VoiceOver has changed. Note that this worked for me three weeks ago when I made a previous deposit into the app.
I have just update my iphone 7+ to IOS 13.1 which probably the latest update. I am trying to turn of haptics specially when i am using slight typing mode, which is a new feature of this update. I tried gone through different posts and pod casts over apple vis website but all of them mentioned the path (settings>accessibility>voice over>audio>sounds and then sounds and haptics. but in my phone i am unable to find haptics options under sound. I dont know if they have provided this for the old iOS 13 or is this still available in IOS 13.1 update ? as i am unable to find them.
Hi guys
Do you know if there's a way in iOS 13.1 that would make voiceover speak on iphone speaker or headphones while the phone is streaming to a bluetooth device?
It's 2019 I am absolutely frustrated that i still can't do this.
Restoring to a brand-new 8+, no end of problems with Siri failing to complete basic requests Also Wi-Fi icon on status bar missing replaced with 4G even know within Wi-Fi settings home Wi-Fi is displaying as connected. I very disappointing as I am a strong user of Siri I have tried many of the possible fixes for addressing the Wi-Fi connectivity issue with no success yet. Any suggestions or recommendations most welcome. Also big shout out to the team at Apple bvis for
all the great help and support.
After reading several threads on the forum over the past few days I decided to update my iPhone 10 to IOS 13.1.2 today. When the update completed and my phone began to talk again the voice had changed from UK English Serena to Daniel. I went into Settings and tried to change the voice back to Serena. My settings say that Serena is the selected voice. I have tried selecting a different voice and then re-selecting Serena but when doing this nothing happens.
My friend has a 6S and is still running iOS 12 I believe. Ever since iOS 13.2 came out, do you think that she is safe to update? She wants to test the feature where she can ask siri to play radio stations or Pandora stations since she is an avid music lover. She doesn't use email so the mail bug wouldn't be an issue for her.
Device: iPhone SE, OS: iOS 13.0, keyboard: 13.0.
I haven't seen much at all on this site about the new iOS 13.4 update. have the bugs in 13.3.1 been fixed, and are there any new bugs? I would like to know before updating. Thanks.
Hi,
Setting up Siri shortcuts and assign them to a customized VoiceOver gesture works great. For example, I plan to use it for opening my favorite apps with 2-finger or 4-finger gestures which weren't assigned to VoiceOver actions yet. A 2-finger swipe to the right could now run a specific app very quickly and from any screen. In practice, every time I run a shortcut I'm asked to confirm before running it. Can I deactivate this behaviour somehow?
Thanks.
Ben
