Hi all,
I'm searching for an app that is able to recognize CDs by using the iPhone camera and to save their album titles, interprets and more in a list. I would like to have an overview about the CDs I have at home. Is there an app that can retrieve data from Discogs?

Suppose you come across a chart on the web, with no text describing what it shows. Is there an app that can import the image of the chart and turn the data into a table or textual description? If not, how difficult would it be for someone to make that? Would it be more difficult than standard object recognition? It’s surprising that this has been rarely if ever discussed on AppleVis, and it’s also surprising that, even with all the object identification apps, nobody has thought of making an app for reading charts.

looking for apps that can recognize the face in a picture, such as a portrait and crop it automatically. prefer IOS apps, but apps on the mac side would suit me just fine. if you came across something like that, please let me know.

Hi all.
I am wondering if there is an app which will let me create ringtones directly, such as playing a song. I would also like to take something I have previously recorded, such as my cat demanding his treats and turn that into a ringtone. Is this possible? The only iOS device I have is an iPhone 6. I do have a computer running Windows 7. I once heard that Garage Band for the iPhone can make ringtones, but I figured the best place to ask was here.

This may be a long shot but is there an easier way to do a soft reboot with the newer phones? I have an IPhone8. I don't think my cordination is good enough for the regular way to do it like holding the power button and then pressing the volume up and down buttons quickly as it takes me several tries to do this. I can't be the only one having this issue. Will just simply turning off the phone and then back on again give the same result? Can I also preform this action as well on a bluetooth keybord?

I figured I'd ask this question now that the voiceover-bug that causes it to loose fokus and jump to the top of the page is beating the heck out of me! ;)
A good example is going through the comments-section of the Facebook-app here on the applevis-site. It has a lot of comments, and on my iPhone it is shown on 26 pages.

With the recent iOS 17 update allowing us to share transaction information with different apps via shortcuts, I've been on the lookout for an accessible finance app that supports this feature. I use Accounts 3 checkbook, but this app does not support shortcuts. Does anyone know of a similar ap that I can use? Link below

I was googling and found something like importing to gmail account and grabbing it from there. I think that is more confusing and laborious.
