Hi
I'm using a pop mail account on multiple devices. Under advanced options I've set my iPhone to remove a mail from the server as soon as it's been moved from the inbox (I assume deleting qualifies as moving), yet when I delete a message from the iPhone, it still shows up on my mac when I get mail. I tried setting up mail on iCloud to see if synching it with that would fix the problem, but no go.
Has anyone experienced this or found a fix? It's somewhat annoying.

Hello all,
I have another problem with the upgrade to my new iPhone 6. Everything works fine now and IOS 8.1 looks ok to me. However, I am having a problem getting mail to upload when the 'mail' icon is closed.
I am using Outlook on an exchange server and when I had my iPhone 5s, mail would happily update all the time i.e. I could hear the harp sound I assigned to mail 'doing its stuff' all the time with the new mail being added and me hearing the change in the number of new e-mails being displayed on the mail icon.

I've turned sounds on in mail > notifications >customize notifications and turned it on for my accounts.
However, I don't get any sound when I get an email.

Just recently started using a Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad Pro. I'm noticing some odd behavior when using mail. I can browse through the message and select a message with VO Space. I then use VO J to jump to the message body. However, after reading the message, there is no good way to get VO to jump back to the message where I left off. VO J, as well as the rotor, does not seem to do this. Anyone have any good tricks for getting back to the message list and placing focus on the currently selected email?
Any info much appreciated.

On an Ipad Mini 4 the mail app opens in the last viewed message instead of the inbox or the list of accounts. Any work-arounds? Anyone having this issue?

Last weekend I did created a new e-mail address, but i have a problem, I have added my mail account at computer same as my iPhone, I can recieve all of my incoming post to both of them devices, but during Sent folder I can not see the same mail that been send at computer and my iPhone. It's different! I mean it isn't synchronized, I could see that my e-mail account Before but not right now. You know, if you send a mail from computer, then you can see on your mail app in iPhone who you sent it to. How to do it synchronize? my mail domain is mail.com. Thank you!

I have the Apple Mail app set to preview five lines of a mail. I'm finding the preview behaviour to be very erratic since updating to iOS18 in that some mails it will read out the preview but others it won't! I use the All Inboxes view and if I back out to the Mailboxes screen and then go back into All Inboxes, those mails which were previously silent are now having their preview read out.
In case it was a VO refresh issue, I've turned VO off and on again but this doesn't make any difference.

There's an annoying bug when scrolling in Mail that prevents the first message in a mailbox from being displayed after scrolling down through the messages and then back up to the top. In order to see the first message in the list I need to exit the mailbox and re-enter it again. In some cases, just scrolling down the first time causes that first message to "disappear".
The latest update does not fix this. Since I don't see this being widely reported I'm guessing that this is a 6S-only bug. Has anyone else seen this?

I've been using WhatsApp on my computer for a while but even now do I sometimes need to mail certain large files to myself so that I can download them on my computer and delete them from my iPhone. Thing is, even if I use MailDrop to send download links instead of attaching the large files themselves, all that happens is Mail taking up the storage space saved by deleting the copy of the file received in the WhatsApp chat, which results in no overall gain. Mail is now taking up over 5.35 GB, and the files never get deleted even when the 1 month to download the files expires.

Has anyone had any luck having their phone notify them of new messages in a thread when you select "Notify Me" in the "More" options when you swipe down while on a message? I have tried this on several messages and never receive a notification.

I just saw that iReal Pro had an update, and they've now implemented VoiceOver support for chord charts! This is very great news. It enables VoiceOver users to read the chord charts with no problem, and they did a fantastic job in implementing it so that it feels intuitive to read with VoiceOver. The next time you're in a jam session or a hurry and need to get the chords for an unfamiliar standard, iReal has your back, also if you're a VoiceOver user!

A friend on twitter told me about this yesterday so I tried it myself and I get the exact same results every time. Note, this bug appears in iOS 8.2, I haven't seen this happen with earlier versions.

Hi All, as of today when selecting the more tab all the previous options have gone. I used to have shortcuts and a bunch of other stuff. Now I can only select my profile, messenger, instagram and settings. I've got the latest version of FB with Ios 10.3.3 and iPhone 6s. Does anyone know if there has been a change or has Voiceover just stopped working? Thanks for info.

I have an iPhone 13 pro. On Saturday, I had to reboot my phone because some odd things were happening. When I tried to put in my ID code after it restarted, I noticed that it didn’t take; I wasn’t writing in the edit field. I tried several times which was not a great idea. Finally, I called the number for Apple support for disabled customers. The representative explained that this is a known issue and that the only way to address it is to turn off voiceover and have a sighted person put in the four-digit code.

Ok guys I think most of us agree the photos app has become almost unusable since iOS18. Well try the below and see if this helps you. In theory it should make it back to how it was before with the latest photos at the top.
Click on photos. Click customise and reorder. Then swipe through all the options. Deselect every one except for media types and utilities. Then hit close. Should be sorted.

Is it no longer possible to make a reservation at a restaurant with Siri? I have open table installed, running and I'm logged in but when ever I try making a reservation, Siri tells me that he can't book a table right now but has found one place matching the restaurant I want to make a reservation at.
Has anyone got this to work? In the past, its always been a hit and miss but now, I can't get it to work at all.

Hello,
I'm able to take pictures of me with my face centered. But I always fail when I try to film a video by using the front camera on my iPhone XS. Yes, my face is visible in the video but I cannot bring it into the middle. It seems to be incredibly hard to hold it in the right position.
Are there any tricks or filters or whatever to make this process a bit easier? I'm using the build-in camera app.

Is there a way to switch the "default" setting from the "tritone" for my voice mail alerts to another alert like the "Chime"? If so, how does one do this with VoiceOver?
