I have experienced a serious bug with iOS voices a couple of times since I have updated.
It is hard to isolate when and how it happened, but I will try to give some clues:
-I am using iOS 11 in an iPhone 7.
-I have set my device's language to english, though I am from Spain and I read a lot of spanish content.
-I installed two additional voices: Siri female (UK), and spanish Monica, while my default voice is Siri female (US).

I use voice over all the time. When I'm working on a project and switch between safari in another application, every time I go back to Safari, VoiceOver always jumps back to the top. If I'm copying and pasting something from the bottom of the page, I need to swipe up 15 or more times to get to the bottom each time from the top. I'm estimating that this process probably wastes 15 or more minutes of unnecessary swiping. Is there anyway to get this to stop besides jailbreaking and locking safari in a foreground state?

I'm trying to decide if I'm a doofus or this is a real VO bug.
When I email myself a VCF file, (what outlook calls a business card but it's actually just a text file) in IOS 6.X on my iPOD Touch, I can view the contact and at the bottom of the screen tap either "create new contact" or "add to existing contact.
But in IOS 8.X on my iPHONE 5C, emailing myself the very same contact, I can view it but those buttons do not appear, at least to VO.

Hi all,
I was playing with Voice Dream Reader this morning and think I have a small problem?
I generally use Voice Dream as an alternative to ReadToGo and link the two together in order to use the wider voices available on Voice Dream to read the Book Share books I download.
This was fine until I just opened it for the first time after buying my new iPhone 5s.
Now, I can see the books I purchased through Book Share on Voice Dream but I can't get them to read.
The 'welcome' file reads okay but the books don't.

I have four photos I want to share but I could only post one. When I launch instagram it hangs there and sometimes i can get it to work. This is kind of frustrating. also, why doesn't insta show up in the share sheet? Hoping it's there for IOS16 if nothing else, because I don't know why it isn't now. I tried to share from the photos app and no go. Thanks for any help.

Hi it's carlos, my question is about post mates, I want to know a few things. First when you place an order how can you contact the driver to ensure that the order is correct. I was told by post mates that you can, but when I told him a blind a news in bed with voiceover they did not understand that. Well dictation at its very best they did not understand that I use voice over, or what it even is. Because I order special things from the restaurants like, a big Mac cheese and light maximus only. Or Krystal burgers with cheese, no pickles, no onions, no mustard, but add like catch up.

Edit: The below is no unnecessary as Telegram for iOS now supports VoiceOver, and it mostly works!
My wife is blind and tried to use Telegram. Only then did we realise how inaccessible it was; which is bizarre for a text-focussed messaging app that seems to use standard UI components.
I did some digging and saw that the interface is custom and there is close to 0 provision for VoiceOver.

Sometimes, I have focus issues in Safari too. And News. Mainly, I think this is due to ads. I do have a potential workaround. If you have a page or article that is doing this, I'd download AirRead. Then if the news article isn't opened in Safari, open it in Safari. Then click on the share button and copy the link to the clipboard. Then open AirRead, and when it says clipboard text, click on the option to read the text. Once the app has extracted the text, you can read it from there. The app is free. I'm glad someone posted this app on here.

Hi all. Subject is pretty selfexplanatory. Is it possible to power down the phone from the lock screen? I held down the volume up and side buttons, it did the buzz thing but the slide to power off option never came up. I ended up having to unlock with passcode then do it that way. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I'm sorry to post again, but these are 2 separate questions. So, I didn't think it'd make sense to put them in the same topic/post.
Where's the preference to have Overdrive books to be automatically put the books on th Kindle app. So, it can be more accessible.
I got a book, and it gave me a dialogue to set that up. But, I didn't want to set it up right away, because I wanted to try it on a book 1st to see if it would work or not.
Where is and how do you get to the preference?

I have hit my breaking point with the native IOS mail and calendar apps. VO doesn’t seem to work at all with calendar, and mail’s bugs are impacting my productivity.
What are your preferred apps for calendar and mail? I would love to find software that I can use in IOS and windows if possible. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know of an iPhone app where I can hear English Premier League radio broadcasts in the US? I had a good one, but it was never updated and eventually stopped working. I've looked on TuneIn, but the content is blocked in the US. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi. I just got the new iPhone 5 2 days ago. My primiam voice for Samantha is not working. The compact voice is but I don't really like it. I restored the phone 3 times before I got it to work, but is this a bug?

Just got my hands on my new iPhone 5 and restored it from the last iPhone 3GS backup. I wanted to switch over to the new iPhone in part due to premium voices availability. However I found myself stuck with Compact Voice again.IN settings I turned compact voice off, but to no avail.
Could someone please tell me what to do? Thanks in advance

I am still new with the iPhone. I made a phone call where I had to press a series of numbers to complete a prescription order. Sometimes the numbers I pressed were announced, other times I think the screen went dim. I never got it to work. My typing mode is where I lift a finger, then it is entered. What's the secret?

I was trying to order some food today, and the lag inside of the app is awful. When you tap on a store, voiceover will just freeze for several seconds. Sometimes three finger swiping will fix it, but navigating by headings is super laggy in the app as well. Sometimes if I want to go by headings, swiping down will just send me to the bottom of the screen. I only started experiencing this on iOS 18, and I have an iPhone 13. Has the app been glitchy for anyone else?
