The current craze for people of my generation at the moment is taking selfies. I've been using SelfieX, which is an app that allows you to use the back camera to take a selfie, with spoken instructions from the phone. I was wondering if anyone had any other ways of taking selfies, or any tips to do with editing them, or taking them in the first place. Just curious to see what I can experiment with...
Hi guys. I tried using Seeing AI for the first time last night and I love it! I think it can read printed books and it works amazingly well for products.
I don't have a lot of experience using the camera so does anyone have any tips for maximizing results? I noticed it had trouble recognizing some of the letters in the cookbook I was scanning. Should I have the book lying on any particular surface? And do I really have to hold the Iphone pretty high above the page for it to capture?

Hi all,
Was just wondering I am totally blind is there any way of taking pictures with the camera app on the IPhone 7 or is there an app that you can use to take clear pictures. Any directions on how to do so would be appreciative. Thanks
I am a library volunteer who assists a totally blind author of essays and articles on topics including physics and politics. He currently uses a Sony recording machine with mechanical buttons for start, stop, rewind, fast forward, and play, but this technology, and those who maintain it, are disappearing from the world. He would like to communicate with other totally blind authors who have successfully transitioned from a system like the Sony recording machine to an Apple-based recording or dictation app.
This is my first time using this. I have issues with painful vision so I want to learn how to use voice over. I have basics down like touch to select and double touch to activate. I seem to be having trouble being able to use it for regular web browser use. I have some issues with memory but am determined to figure it out. If anyone is really familiar and willing to do training I would be grateful. I know it’s new information but I’m having trouble figuring out how to use it for day to day stuff.
I'm having a darned of a time using Garageband app on my iPhone with voice over enabled. I found alot of tutorials on the web but they don't instruct using voice over no doubt. Everybody knows the gestures are very different if voice over is enabled.
Hi, I'm seeking a voice recorder app that will let me continue to listen to media such as music with my headset as I record. I don't need or want the music to show up in the recording, but there are some times I'm recording events and such, but still want to be able to listen to my music through my bluetooth headset, speakers. All of the recording apps I have encountered on iOs cut off my music when I start recording, which is EXTREMELY frustrating.
The most recent issue of "Talking Book Topics" (July/August, 2016) mentions, in the "In Brief" column, an app called SeeLight and SeeLight Blind. The "Blind" version of the app is intended to assist with the location of traffic signals and other information to be used by vision-impaired pedestrians. I was curious, so I downloaded and installed the app from the Apple Store on my iPhone 6 Plus. After opening it, I discovered the text on the screen is in Cyrillic.
in the tubi tv app, I can choose a show, but I can't pick an individual season or episode. Has anyone found a way to do this? Also the apple tv app is no longer accessible, forcing me to use the xfinity tubi tv app with the xfinity talking guide. thanks.
When composing a review of a business in the Yelp app, the star rating ends up 3 stars no matter how many stars I had actually selected. Anyone else experiencing this? Latest version of the app on iOS 9.3
Hello there. I have literally just installed IOS11 on my iPhone SE. As expected when the phone came back on it reverted back to the default daniel voice, but i just can’t seem to get rid of him. Voiceover is telling me the voice i want is definitely selected, but it’s still daniel speaking. I have even tried (twice in fact) deleting the voice i want (kate enhanced), downloading her again and re-selecting her, but all my attempts thus far have failed. Please can anyone suggest anything else i could try? I just want my friend kate back lol :) thanks in advance.
How do I select an entire category, i.e., social Networking instead of specific apps within that category to set time limits? Cause when I double tap a category it only expands its app list or colapses it. There's no action menu and double tapping also does nothing. There surely should be some way to select an entire category in one go?
| To quickly silence all notifications, open Control Center, , tap Focus, then turn on Do Not Disturb.
It's two steps. Tap Focus, then turn on Do Not Disturb. But it seems to work a little different with VoiceOver. If I double tap Focus, it turns on Do Not Disturb. There is no second step. I don't have a choice to select a Focus option other than Do Not Disturb.
