I am looking for a calendar app that will allow me to share my calendar with my wife and see her appointments as well. At times I want to be able to schedule appointments for both of us and I want her to be able to schedule appointments for me and for both of us as well. I need the calendar app to be accessible for me and user friendly for my sighted wife. We work together in a few businesses and keeping calendars synched is becoming very important. Perhaps an app that worked well with a Google Calendar. All suggestions are welcomed.
iOS and iPadOS
Since the upgrade to iOS 14, I think the widget in Apple's calendar has gotten worse. Previously, you could easily see the next activity, regardless of whether it was the same day or several days in the future. Now it does not work anymore or have I missed any setting that allows you to get it that way?
Hello,
as the ioS calendar is only able to remind you of an apointment once, I'd like to have a solution that sends me two reminders: One shortly before the event and the other one the day before so that I can eventually prepare what is necessary for the apointment. Do you know of an app that provides this feature and is accessible with VoiceOver?
Thanks so much for your help!
I want to use braille screen input on my iPad and have it on my rotor but for some reason the calibration of three fingers on right then three or left, or reverse, are not working.
Does anyone know if call autorouting works with Voice Over off? My wife and I both have iPhone XRS running the latest IOS version. I use VO and she doesn't. Call' autorouting works on both our phones just fine when VO is on but won't work when VO is off. I don't remember this happening on my 7 or SE. I'd appreciate any clarification or feedback. Thanks in advance for any thoughts. Tyyt
Hello to all. I won't probably ever use this app but for those who have, is call bliss accessible, useful, works? I would not think it would work, as it has access to apple's phone app which is in the core of the os, and we all know about apple's sandbox policy. Following is a link to the app.
Enjoy. Oh and it's $9.99 US.
A few weeks ago, I posted on here asking if anyone would find a certain app idea I have useful. https://www.applevis.com/forum/ios-ipados/would-be-helpful
In particular, I was thought that people with low vision would find it useful.
Well, I got just enough response that I decided that it would be worth opening up a beta for it.
We've been working on a voice driven app for online shopping that reads back search results, product information, and reviews. You can search for and purchase items entirely in audio. The experience is built from the ground up for non-visual users, and is designed to be more comfortable and streamlined than navigating a visual app with a screen reader.
Hi all,
I am in a desperate need to make recordings of my conversations on an ongoing basis. I am using IPhone 6 with 9.2. Please help. While, I have found some options for the same, I am looking for an accessible solution that can do it automatically in the background.
Thank you.
Hi, does iOS have a call screen feature like pixel phones do where Siri can screen your calls for you? If not Apple needs to add this.
I hear this when calls end on my iPhone under iOS 13. I also hear it repeatedly in voice mails, sometimes to the point I cannot hear the voice mail. Is Voiceover speaking this? I would sure love to resolve this.
Hello,
I have a 5s running ios9.1. I just started having an issue where my caller id is announcing a contact as if it weren't even added. For example let's say I have a contact named John doe, well since I do have that contact in my phone whenever John doe would call vo should say "John doe" instead vo will speak the full number, and when swiping through the caller id screen vo would announce the location as if the contact wasn't even added. I rebooted my phone and still doing it. Any ideas?
Hi,
I am doing two blogs, one for one of my classes and one that is more personal.
I write my posts in Pages and copy and paste them into Blogger. I use the tab key to indicate new paragraphs after I make a "new line."
However, when I paste the text into Blogger, it is displayed as one, big paragraph, and VoiceOver interprets it as a single element. I would like to be able to break the posts up into paragraphs so that VO can flick from one to the other.
How do I do this in Blogger?
Thanks in Advance,
Kira
Hi AppleVis ,
My name is Chris Maury, I've been an AppleVis member for about a year now; ever since I found out that I was losing my vision to Stargardt's macular degeneration. Over the last year I've started an accessibility meet up for people with disabilities and people who work on accessibility here in Pittsburgh. I've also started training seniors who are losing their vision on how to take advantage of the accessibility features on Apple Products.
Hello
I don’t know about you Americans, but in Australia, we have this app called Officeworks. You have everything here. Laptops, chrome books, phones, and tablets. Drones, drones, accessories, and speakers, headphones, chips, lollies, paper and paint. You name it, they have it all. The only thing I don’t have is, Weapons, but I’m sure you can do with that.
