I am busy working on making the transition from using zoom to using voiceover on my mac. When I get something like an e-mail. IMessage or reminder there appears a pop up notification in the top right of my screen. If voiceover is on at the time it pops up, the focus automatically goes there and i can deal with it. If i turn voiceover on after getting a popup, i have no clue how to bring voiceover focus there so i can deal with it. I know how to turn off pop ups in settings, but i actually find them quite useful.. Or i would when voiceover reads them.

I'm coming to the hive mind today with yet another question regarding Google Suite, that contrary beast that just loves to make life difficult for screen reader users. Has anyone else been experiencing issues navigating the Docs/Sheets menus since all the keyboard shortcuts were updated a couple of months ago? As far as I'm aware, the procedure for opening up any given menu is still the same: the VO pass-through command (CTRL + Option + Tab) followed by CTRL + Option + relevant menu hotkey.

Hello. I hav owned a Mac since 2012 and have been using Paragon's NTFS to access windows formatted external drives. I recently had to erase and reinstall Mac OS Catalina and now I cannot activate my paragon n t f s software? does os anyone have a better program or any idea how to activate? thanks so much and have a great day.

Hello! I have just purchased adguard for 2 computers. I activated it without any problems on my windows machine, but when i try to do that on my mac i don't have any success. When i open the app and press control option m to open the menu the app closes automaticly. When i try to press adguard on a ctrl+option+m twice menu nothing happens. So i don't know where to enter the activation key. Where should i do it? Sited people also couldn't help me. It's impossible to press on adguard in that menu. How should i activate it?

When a New message is coming in, and you are using a mac book, is it possible to go to the message with a single key stroke? For example, if you are browsing the internet, and a message comes in, can you access the message? Also is there a similar key stroke for answering a phone call on the Mac?

So I reset my macbook awhile ago and successfully completed the process.
However, when I about to activate it, it says that I have to choose a wi-fi at the menu or attach a cable network to continue.
Upon checking, there's ain't any wi-fi at the menu, I tried to look at the google of what could possibly I should do to fixed it but one of the article says that I have to remove the mac at the assistant recovery for the wi-fi connection to showed up so I did it but it never works.
I hope you could help me fixing this mac issue

Is anyone successfully using VoiceOver Activities on Mac OS?
I tried to add a few activities to set verbosity to low for a few apps, such as Mail, Finder, and Safari. And this does, indeed, change the verbosity as it should.

I ran into a strange issue this morning after firing up an app for the first time since updating to El Cap:
I use a custom VO activity on this app to set a few hotspots I can jump to with VO + 1-3. Very convenient. However when I opened the app, the hotspots weren't working. I unintentionally brought up a hotspot chooser menu by pressing VO + 1 twice (didn't know you could do that) and it showed the three hotspots I had assigned...however, each one said "Inactive." Any idea what this means / why this might be / how to make them active again?

Hi all,
My Windows laptop is in for repair, so I am using my Mac full-time for the time being. Which is no bad thing, because there is a lot I like and I want to be more proficient on macOS than I currently am.
Anyway, on Windows I have gotten quite used to the much cleaner and more accessible browsing experience with an ad blocker, and I am wondering what, if anything, people use on macOS?

Looking for a free or one time only purchase of an add blocker that I can install for Safari. I'd like it to ask the standard allow dialog and if I click allow, that will be saved and I won't have to remember it again. I'm looking to stop those video adds that voice over will randomly say 0:20 seconds etc. Plus popups that like I said if it's on the allow list, will be fine. sorry if this is jumbled, time change messed me up.

So I'm trying to add a rule in mail to forward a message. I give it a name, go into the criteria table, from is selected, I say it's from foo.com. Then I go to select that action. Apple's support article says I pick forward, then enter the email address I want mail forwarded to.

Good morning everyone, I am running into a small problem with a file on my new Mac that I need some help with.
For context, I installed Stardew Vally and the needed accessibility files, to run the game with said mods though I need the stardew mod file, which comes with the game and is a unix file opened in Terminal. Normal running of the game works fine, but as soon as I run the modding appi, mac OS instantly declares it malware and puts it into the recycle bin, it doesn't even ask if I want to open the file anyway as it does with other files.
