I am looking to create a website using WordPress. So, I need a host for my site. Any recommendations for hosting companies that have control panels that are accessible with VoiceOver on the Mac would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hey all, I'm thinking about ditching my pc and switching over to mac entirely at home. At school I use jaws with microsoft word. Since microsoft word 2015 or 2014, can't remember witch one I have on mac doesn't work with voiceover, I am unable to use word on mac. Is there a accessible processer that exports to doc format so I can do work then save it into doc format to access it at school?

Hi all,

I use Windows primarily, and havent' booted into OS X in several years. However I'm quickly running out of space on my Bootcamp partition. Originally I split the space on the drive 50/50 between the two operating systems, but there is 97GB of free space on the OS X partition that I'd like to make use of.

Hello everyone,

I hope you're all doing well. I'm currently using macOS Ventura 13.4, the latest version available.

I've been trying to access detailed information about apps on the App Store using VoiceOver, but I haven't had much success. When I click on the name of an app, VoiceOver attempts to purchase it or re-download it if it's already been purchased but not downloaded.

Hello There, As the subject line implies, I am wondering what is the best way for me to work with email attachments. I tried saving it via the menu bar but the file didn't appear to be in my downloads folder. I also couldn't find a way to open the attachment. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everybody.

So I want to access characters with fn-e. I do get characters, lots of emoji and the like. But I want other characters like ae-ligature, runes, that kind of thing. Some of these can be generated with the keyboard, e.g. option-c generates รง. But I'm pretty sure you don't get keyboard shortcuts for things like runes, plus, I have no idea what all of the characters are that we have available anyway.

Hi everyone,

Is it just me or have the latest updates to Facebook's desktop site rendered access to Facebook chats using Mac OS's Voice Over virtually impossible? I cannot access the messages in the chats. Every time I try, I keep being brought back to the box to enter my messages. I have also tried accessing Facebook chat on the WINDOWS side using NVDA and JAWS , but I get the same result? Has anyone else experienced or is experiencing this?

Good evening. How do you access files that are on a flash drive and read and edit them on a Mac? When I use command shift c, I only see options such as name, kind, size, etc. Also, how do you safely remove a flash drive? Thank you.

For my work I need to be able to access statistics for our website, through Google Analytics. I hope this is an appropriate topic for the Apple vis site, seeing as I am primarily a Mac user and would like to access this service on my Mac.

Unfortunately, as with many Google products, I am finding the interface pretty much impossible to effectively access. it looks like some of the info is in improperly formatted tables, and I can't even click on some of the buttons and links.

Hello all,
How can I access links in a book I am reading in iBooks on the Mac? I am trying to take a look at Apples new training material on building apps with swift. I can actually read the book better on my iPad mini 2 but there are some links in the book to download the example code and things like that.

Dear Mac Users,

I'm a new Mac/VoiceOver user, trying to determine if Apple Mail will meet my needs. I have a Mac Mini running OSX 10.9.4 Mavericks.

Hello all. I'm a new Mac book user, and try as i might, i just can't figure out how to get my Apple music that's on my phone to show up on my Mac. At the moment when i go into music, most of the buttons are dimmed. When i open iTunes on there, admittedly it looks to be a confusing, frightening jumble that means very little to me. I presume i have to sign in from iTunes somehow, but it isn't at all obvious where i need to go to do it. If anyone could offer any simplified instructions they would be much appreciated.

Hi all. If one of the developers of the netflix team could see this, @John or @seger I think, I know i got that wrong I'd appreciate it. I was watching a tv show, I clicked mute, to skip the theme song. Except now I have no sound. Space doesn't work, pause then play doesn't work, i've now closed the window completely hoping when I go back to it it might have sound lmao. Also there are times where instead of saying on the pause button where is where I want focused, it go to back to browse. I can't seem todo anything but click it, find my title and resume from there.

Hi, I've been using mavericks for about a week now, and I love it. There's only one thing that's bugging me quite a lot at the minute. In OS10 Mountain Lion, notifications like "the disc wasn't ejected properly", or "none of your preferred wireless networks are available" appeared as separate finder windows. However, in OS10 mavericks, they now show in the upper right hand corner of the display, and I haven't found a way with VO to get at them. Another example happens when you first install mavericks.

Hello, I would appreciate some assistance with a problem that I am having accessing Online Material. I have a MacBookPro, running OSX 10.9.2. Many of the Websites that I access on a daily basis publish additional research articles as Webpages in PDF format. It is these Online PDF pages that I cannot easily access. When I click on the link, Safari opens a new Tab but seldom gives me access to the new Webpage. I can navigate to and interact with the Tab name.
