I was wondering if someone could briefly explain the current accessibility issues with the web client of Spotify when using voice over on the mac. I signed up for a free account last night and I love the service on my phone. I am seriously considering spending the ten bucks a month for the premium account but if I can't enjoy the service on my mac I don't think i'm interested, partly because of how much I use my mac and partly out of the principle of the matter.

Is anyone else having a problem where Word 365 can't access the text in a document and gives messages like "Empty layout area" and "Content is empty"? This has been going on for a few months and I'm getting around to trying to fix it because I need to work on a collaborative document that requires Word features. I have Catalina version 3 and the latest version of Word 365. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Word 365 app.

After updating to Ventura, I am again disappointed that Excel seems to have lost Voiceover support; in any event, it is not reading to me now, nor is it responding to the arrows either with Quicknav on or off. Word will still read, but it has never given me typing echo as I write. I have looked online and in the forums here for the most accessible Excel and Word alternatives, but haven't found much. Please advise me what these best alternatives are. I have tried Pages and Numbers, and I don't much like them. I generally write in TextEdit.

is anyone able to help me to find a shortcut to speak the word count of a document in pages?
I normally use word but finding it buggy with braille so i switched to pages and i'm struggling to find a way to check my word count.

I do a lot of writing and reading and word count is very important to me. TextEdit does not show the word count, and the feature on Pages is available yet it does seem to me very confusing if compared to TextEdit.
So here's a script for TextEdit to show the word count. The only thing to do is to copy the script and paste it in /Library/Scripts.

Good morning everyone, I am a blind student. I am writing here hoping to find an answer to my question. I am writing my thesis and I am working with multiple Word files. However, once I save them in Word from Pages and then use TextEdit, the previous formatting disappears, and I also need to insert various notes. So, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if Word can somehow be made accessible because I currently don't know how to read the text within a document. what is the best and most accessible word processor for mac OS X?
i am new to the world of macs and need something to give me the advanced feature that are available in microsoft word for windows. i need to be able to create tables, lists, forms, footnotes and review track changes.
i heard that microsoft word for mac became accessible after the last release. how good is it? and how is it compared to apple's pages? is there any alternative for both? can you refer me to a guide/tutorial/book that tackles word processing on mac OS X?

I was just wondering if any website developers using Wordpress have updated to 5.3 and if it's safe to do so. I'm using the WP Classic plugin instead of Gutenberg obviously so I don't really care if the latter is still inaccessible. Thanks in advance for any info anyone can offer!

This problem has been annoying me ever since I went blind and started using VoiceOver, and is particularly prevalent when browsing math content on the web. As a result on my work on Vosh I finally realized why it happens, and am posting to suggest a workaround.

For the past few days I've been trying to run Windows on my Mac (Apple silicon) using Parallels. I've managed to get it working with the help of VOCR, but it's fairly hit and miss whether things work or not.
For example, I've had to start the VM from Terminal, because Parallels doesn't work well with VoiceOver:
prlctl start "Windows 11"
And to shut it down again:
prlctl stop "Windows 11"
I like having Windows available for testing NVDA, playing games and that sort of thing.

On this update all voices of vocalizer expressive has bin impruved. I don't know if the same level like windows platforom but it's definitely gladdening.

Hi there! I'm hoping that some of the people who've been around the Mac a bit longer than I can answer this question.
I am trying to change chart properties in the new Numbers under Mavericks such as title and axis labels. When I go to the format inspector and check the title box, I do not see a text field anywhere where you can actually type in a title.
When changing axis labels under the axis radio button in the format inspector, a dialog pops up, but you can only type certain characters into it.
This is getting slightly annoying and I really hope there is a way to change these.

I am using Yorufukurou as my Twitter client on my MacBook Air. It is a great app and is fully accessible. However, I have a question about editing lists with Yorufukurou.
I previously used the Qube as my Twitter client when I was using Windows. I could easily group the people I was following into lists. I am trying to find the same functionality in Yorufukurou. For example, does anyone know how to add or remove people to or from an existing list with Yorufukurou? Also, is there a way of creating new tweet lists with Yorufukurou?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
