I have only tried using GarageBand on my iPhone a couple times. The problem I'm having is that despite my rotation being locked in portrait mode, every time I open GarageBand it automatically goes into landscape mode, making it really weird to try to navigate with VoiceOver. Is there anyway to fix it where it stays in portrait mode?

I have a sighted friend who is a pastor, who recently upgraded to an iPhone 5S from an iPhone 3. He recently updated to iOS 7.1. On his iPhone 3, he could send text messages to a large group of over 160 people with no problem. Neither he or I can figure out how to do this in iOS 7. He was told that texting to a large group is currently impossible in iOS 7 due to a bug. If this is true, are there any alternatives to the built-in Messages app that would allow him to send texts to a large group? If doing this is possible in the built-in Messages app, how is it done?

hi all, I'm currently using the notes app on an iPhone 6 using iOS 9 .2. I have noticed sometimes when I'm typing notes that it appears as plain text, or other times it will form itself in a list with numbers at the start of each line. I really don't know how I have done this, but it is quite annoying if I just want it to be a normal text, could someone tell me how I am doing this? Also apparently you can use this as a checked list so you can tick and untick items, does anyone know how to do this using voice over

I installed Over drive today and downloaded a book. the book is in my books folder but it;'s a WMA file and will not let me import it in to I tunes. I think I have to emport it in as a MP3 file but I do not know how to do that or is there an option in Over drive so the app will do this automaticly?

Hi. I am trying to request desktop site on Safari. When I go to twitter.com, it redirects me to mobile.twitter.com. I pressed and hold the reload button. I click on request desktop site. When the page loaded, the address says, mobile.twitter.com. What is going on?

is there anyway to make a custom Siri shortcut that can open the settings for the Music App? if there is away it would be in scripting and I'm not sure how to use a lot of the scripting features. I would rather run this shortcut in the widget and not through Siri. any ideas?

Good day, while charging my Iphone 6S the voice over voice changed by itself from SA. English to USA. English. This has happened once before but after restarting the phone it reverted back to my default set voice! I tried to change it from the voice settings but no go! Please give me some advice?

Hi all. Upon browsing the games section of the ap directory on applevis, I came across this nice game. I really like it. I bought the premium version for 3 dollars which takes away all the ads and gives me 15 extra lives. there is just a couple of things I have picked up. kithri who submitted the apple vis entry for this game wrote: " It also wants you to enable/accept push notifications to alert you when a new update is available". Each time I start the game, it doesn't ask me to enable push notifications. How do I enable push notifications to be alerted of new updates?

I'm having a whole lot of trouble copying videos I've recorded in the Camera app to my external hard drive. If I pull up my iPhone in Windows Explorer, all my photos and videos are there, but when I try to copy them, there are 1 or 2 of them that won't copy. My PC just sits there like it's copying or trying to copy something, then it acts like it's done, but the file size on the newly copied file is 0 bytes. If I go into the photo and video viewer on my phone and trim the video, it copies fine, but I want to copy videos without having to trim them first. Please help!

I purchased Voice Dream Reader on my iPhone 8 plus and chose the voice "Lisa" because it was free. I ended up deleting the app and Apple gave me a refund. Now, I have an iPhone XR, and I purchased VDR again and for some reason, the voice "Lisa" is still the default free voice and I cannot change that. I already deleted the backups of my previous device (iPhone 8 plus), uninstalled the app, turned off my phone for 5 mins, turned it back on, re-installed the VDR app to no avail.

Due to AMD my vision is now very poor and everything is becoming less accessible.

However with so many available and optional combinations possible Iām finding it difficult when considering how to apply them.
Iām looking for a tutorial suitable for non-technical users like me to easily customize a Voice (only) Control of their iPadOS tablet.

Okay, I was inspired by the AppleVis podcast on creating custom shortcuts, so I started creating my own.
Although most of it just involves slogging through the actions and experimenting to get used to the system, the biggest question I have is how to debug shortcuts one is developing.
For example, I can read in variables, set variables, change variables, etc. But is there an easy way to display variables either one at a time or several at once so that I can debug the shortcut as it is being written?

I tried several QR scanners and I found that I'm not able to place the camera correctly to get them read. Even if I know where the code is I can't manage it.

Hi All,
Just upgraded from iPhone 8 to 11. All is fine re face id etc. However, when I use the phone to unlock it doesn't take me direct to the home screen. Instead, it says unlocked then I have to swipe to actually get off the lock screen. With my 8 touch id unlocked the phone and took me direct to the home screen. I'm sure there is a way of going direct there but I can't for the life of me find a setting to do this. Any ideas how I can unlock and get to the home screen without having to do a swipe?

Does anyone know how to display a list of audio books available at a local library?
I have been using this App for some time and can get as many e-books as I can read. However, I cannot display any audio books in the list of results I get after searching. I have found the area that requires me to choose the format I want to access, for example, e-books and I assume that I should be able to slide-down to choose audio books but this doesn't work..
