I just received a new iPad Air 2 with the included Apple SIM, and I have been unable to sign up for a T-Mobile prepaid plan.
It appears that the plan options on the T-Mobile page are not coded as links.
I have been trying to sign up for a T-Mobile promotional plan for 5GB for 5 months for $10. The plan names are on the page, but you cannot select a plan or locate a next or continue button.
I have not yet tried it with AT&T or Sprint to see if their plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa tion pages are inaccessible as well.
Since upgrading to 16.1, my iPad prompts me for permission to paste each time I issue the "paste" command. My job involves a lot of copying and pasting between a pages file and email so this prompt slows down my work flow. I also wish there was some way to keep a block of text on the clipboard longer than four or five pastings. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
So I installed iPadOS 15 on my iPad and apparently the web browsing is terribly broken. I want to roll back to iPadOS 14.7.
So I will back up my iPad, roll back to iPadOS 14.7 then restore using iTunes. Will this restore my files and apps but not the OS version?
Hi all,
This is quite possible a post that shows I am not Apple Savvy..
When using my iPad with a bluetooth external keyboard I would like the following experience:
1. The field that I am entering text into to be zoomed and centralised
2. As I type the focus to remain with the cursor
3. option to speak characters and words as typed, without invoking voiceover.
Anyone know how I can get the above experience? It could be a combination of settings or apps.
Hi everyone,
I’ve had the iPad Pro (4 years old model) with the official Magic Keyboard, and I feel like each major iPadOS update keeps making accessibility worse — at least for my use case.
I originally bought the iPad to read Kindle books and take notes, as well as to send the occasional email. From the beginning, text editing wasn’t great and felt unstable. For instance, when using Split View with Kindle and a note-taking app like Drafts, the keyboard wouldn’t even work properly in the notes app.
I find the slide over feature really great. The problem is that when dismissing an app and open it or something else it goes into slide over when I do not want it to. Is there a solution?
Work gave me a new iPad.
To use it productive I bought an Logitech combo touch keyboard case to use with this iPad.
However when I close the keyboard case with the iPad inside, the iPad keep staying awake, as with my previous iPad, I could close the case and the thing would be silenced.
This iPad is also silent when I detach the keyboard and lock the screen.
I made sure that the screen is not waken up by touching it,, I disabled that setting.
Same goes for the setting that I made sure is enabled, that the iPad is brought to sleep when closing the case.
Hello all,
I've an iPad mini 5. Couple things. One, does it support Split View? Second, is there a more complete list of keyboard shortcuts for the iPad? The Bluetooth keyboard I have, a Logitech MX Keys, does not have a globe key. The list in the iPad user guide seems to be incomplete. Many thanks.
Can I launch the voice over in an ipad without sighted help? On Monday, I expect my first ipad to arrive and I was wondering if there was a way for me to start the voice over working straight out of the box or do I need to wait for sighted help in order for them to set the voice over for me? I would appreciated any comments or suggestions. Thank you.
Hi there,
OK, now I'm calling on all you emphatic iPad users. I know you're out there, so come out of hiding :)
I have an iPhone, Mac, and BrailleNote. All are working fabulously. But I want to know why others love their iPad so much. When I first saw one, I thought, "Wow, glorified iPod Touch [in terms of specs] and I'll get lost on that big screen." But the feeling of just using an iPad with a Braille display this summer is quite liberating and cool. I find when I know exactly where something is, I touch it with more accuracy than on the phone.
Hey guys. So i'm looking for a really simple midi player for ipad that will allow me to output midi data and master clock messages to abunch of keyboards and drum modules for live gigs. I need to be able to select from several midi files quickly with voiceover ETC. If it has basic sequencing capabilities that'd be good too, Does anything like this exist?
Cheers
Good morning all,
First of all, if this is in the wrong place I'm sorry, this is the first time I have ever put a message here. So, I just got the IPad Minny and it is cool. I love it, but, I used to have an IPad 2 and I really do not like the HQ US english voice so I changed the language to British english and pluged in the IPad and, I had the HQ British voice and everything was good. Now, on the Minny, it seems that the only HQ voice is the US voice. I charged it and left it pluged in with British english as defalt and, it's as if the only voice you have is the compact voice.
Hi,
I tried to update my ipad mini to ios 11 and everything just stopped working.
I did the home off button thing, nothing. I plugged it into my computer and it does not register. I am not sure what else to do. Any suggestions would be great.

I just purchased an iPad Mini 32GB from Apple. My question is how do I activate the rotor function, so I can use it properly? I tried using the wheel-like gesture but instead it launches something else and not the rotor. Any help would very much be appreciate. Thanks.
Hi all,
I’ve just unboxed and set up my new iPad (woohoo!), and am curious to know about the multitasking features unique to the iPad; I’ve been an iPhone user now for 6+ years, and an iPad user for around 4 or 5 years, but I’ve never owned an iPad capable of the multitasking features. I’m aware of slideover, picture-in-picture and split view, but have no idea how they work, or how to activate them using Voiceover. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi All,
I am a fairly new iPad user compared to my iPhone, so bear with me. I've turned the multitasking gestures on in Settings, and I like the way you can switch between apps with just a four-finger horizontal swipe and not have to go into the app switcher.
However, I am having a problem with the conflicting "move to top/bottom" gesture. So how are you guys resolving this? Do you just not use one set of gestures? I was content to forego my easy top/bottom access in favor of switching apps... until I started using MBraille.
I am having trouble getting Ipad OS keyboard shortcuts to work. I have an IPad Pro 11-inch, 4th gen. My keyboard case is one made by typecase. If I try and access the notification center, by pressing vo+m, then option+up-arrow, the voice-over focus simply stays in the status bar. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there a new shortcut for this in Ipad OS? Thanks in advance for the help.
Hi all,
I have heard that IPad OS has significantly changed with IOS 26. Where can I find the information about accessibility changes for IPad OS?
I am thinking of Menu bar like behaviour of the OS, multitasking changes and so on!
Also, how about text edit or similar word processing app for IPad?
Thanking you,
Vivek
Hi all
I’ve been dealing with this issue for 5 months now, where Siri speech randomly cuts out in the middle of a response. All begun after installing iPadOs 18.4, if I’m not mistaken.
The bug is so easy to replicate, I just have to race up the Siri volume and ask her a question: weather, calendar, mail, information from the Web, jokes, poems or even running a shortcut. If I lower the volume, it rarely happens.
