hello all. I just got my Mac mini last week and I have ben playing with the latest garageband. I usually like playing with effects and things within garageband. Is there a way to enable pitch correction just like in the older iLife 11 garage band used to be able to do? Thanks in advance.

I'm running Ventura on a Mac Studio. Recently, VoiceOver has been frequently repeating the phrase, volume level. I can't figure out where or why it is happening. Rebooting doesn't change anything. Reducing my open apps to finder and one other app doesn't change the situation either.
Can anyone help?

Hi All,
I would like to know if there is any native way or any app in the App store for Mac or Iphone for convert or export the contain fo a Power Point file in a readable text, I mean, a rtf, txt, Pages or Docx file. I would need if for transferring afterwards the file into my Chameleon 20 and be able to work with it. With I power POint I don't know how to do it, and anyway I couldn't transfer it into my Braille display. Many thanks in advance

Hello everyone.
I was wondering how to select text with bookshare books in daisy text format.. When I open the folder containing the content, I go to the xhtml title and press cmd+o and Safari launches but the content of the book does not display. I've tried to reload the page but nothing happens.
Any help would be appreciated.

You did not read the subject of this post wrong; we are going to talk about how to fill out pdf forms using Adobe Reader for mac.
Now don't think that Adobe has suddenly upped its game and made its pdf reader accessible to voice over after all of these years of ignoring us. Nothing has changed and the app is just as impossible with voice over as ever. However, I have figured out a way to use the app to fill out forms, as long as they are tagged. Now it is a little crude and funky, but I think it could be manageable.

So i'm trying to get used to filtering tables on the mac using numbers. But I cant seem to get it to work. Going into the, organize, tab in the menu bar, I see that the turn filters on, has a shortcut, option command f, but this option is dimmed, and I cant seem to turn it on. I've tried having voiceover be on top of the column I want to apply the filter to, and other options but no luck. Is there's something I'm missing? Thanks for any help.

Back in Mavericks I could choose the day-view and from here find a tabel with all events for the day, and events that was scheduled later on. For those of you that have tried the listmode on IOS it was the same way to watch events. I could watch events for the day and for months ahead of time.
Now, in Yosemite this feature is not possible to find for me any more. I really liked that feature since I could watch all my calenders and events at a glance. Do any of you know how to get this function back?

I don’t know how it got this way but now when I press vo+m and try to find the menu bar with devices and actions on windows 11 it shows only parallels desktop instead. This is when I am in the windows 11 window of parallels. How can I see the windows 11 menu bar again?

My question might look ridiculous, but how to flip through pages in iBooks properly? I have tried both ways - with quick navigation and without, but in both cases the reading is a total disaster. You just can't flip to next page because the app returns you to the previous one, and this happens very often.

Can anyone tell me how to format a message in the mail app? I have tried highliting the text of the message them stopping interaction and moving up to the format , area, , changing the font size valu but it snaps straight back. Perhaps the selected text becomes deselected when stopping interaction ?
If anyone has any idea's I would be grateful to hear them. Thanks Ron.

Hello, is there steps I can follow somewhere to format and reinstall yosemity properly? I tried to boot into the recovery partition and I agreed to the terms and choose the option to reinstall, but then it got quiet and nothing happened. Just want to make sure I do it rite. Or should I download the file from the app store? And can it boot from the super dvd drive?

I have created several playlists with multiple duplicate entries, and Itunes seams to remove them after the first time around. How do I avoid this?
FAQ:
Why would you want duplicate entries in a playlist?
These duplicate entries are radio imaging spots that rotate through out an hour. Of course, Itunes sees these as music tracks, because it does not differentiate between the two.

Many people have difficulties using Terminal on macOS with VoiceOver. Especially navigation on outputs in the Terminal app can be a bit tricky. Fortunately, there is a solution that makes it a lot smoother to navigate the output without interacting, stopping interaction, clearing the window etc.
The solution is Tmux, a tool which is primarily used to work with multiple Shell sessions and a lot of other stuff. However, it has a mode similar to a pager where you can navigate the output using arrow keys. Interacting all the time is a thing of the past with this tool.

I want to use Ical app on my Mac as I do on my iPhone. But I have some difficulties:
1. I've chosen to see a year so I can go through every month. That works, but when a specific date has an event it is not spoken when I do a double mouse click with vo-shift-space I get the event, but I have to remember, that there is an event at the date. How can I get Voiceover to tell when a certain date has an event when I am looking through the week?
2. Is it possible to get a list of events like on the Idevices?
3. I turned on the weeknumber but VOiceover seems to skip this information as well.

Since upgrading to Ventura 13.1, I have noticed that, whenever I press VO+F2 twice, the first two entries in the Window Chooser menu are always, "System Dialog - - untitled -". This also appears in the Window Chooser.

Hey so maybe I need to understand how the marks work in the terminal app on mac.
Basically I ended up getting a huge error message when I was doing something. Is there a way to get the cursor (including especially that of VO) to just after the initial command I have typed and so just before whatever output I get so I can read it from the beginning?

I was wondering how to get VoiceOver to stop reading the font and color when reading text? For example, it will say bold, 16 point helvetica newi. It's really annoying. Last weekend, I was changing the verbosity settings, and I think I changed something. Does anyone else know how to fix this?
