Hi everyone,
I'm doing a homework assignment that requires me to keep track of the word count. Why TextEdit doesn't have this functionality built in is beyond me. I don't want to have to use an Applescript or Terminal to get that information.
I'd like a free app for this. I'm not sure Pages has this, which I have, but does Bean allow easy checking of words?
Thanks.

I tried to convert some .aac files to .mp3 with Fission and it said this audio format is not supported which I find strange since .aac is one of the output options. Anyone know what's going on or know any other apps that can convert .aac files? Thank you.
Hi,
I will use my Macbook Air for getting a bachelors degrees. Since PDF-support sucks on Mac Os I will most definitely convert many files from PDF to other formats such as txt or rtf. That works with the ABBYY FineReader but I can not find a way to automate this process.
### What I want to happen:
Hi all! Ihave ABBYY FineReader express and have not used it in a while. I remember being able to scan multiple pages into one document but now Ican't remember how I did it and am not able to recreate it. Can anybody help? I thought I had a shortcut key for that but since upgrading to Yosemite some of all that has disappeared. Thanks for any help. I am considering upgrading to the pro version. Any comments on that?
Thanks,
Jim

Dear all,
As we've been told to stay home and not to leave, I decided to learn to use terminal. I found it easy but the issue that I have is with the delta symbol, as it known some commands on terminal needs the delta symbol to be written to run the command, but it seems the symbol is no where to be found:).
I tried to use different keyboards, like US international, ABC and British PC, but didn't find the delta. The strange thing is, when I google commands that needs delta, VoiceOver pronounce it.
I have recently installed VoiceDream Reader for Mac. On Reader for IOS, I use the Acapela voice Heather. I would like to obtain the Heather voice to use with VoiceDream on the Mac. However, it is my understanding that Acapela voices can no longer be obtained for Mac OS. Is my understanding correct? I know that Infovox iVox has been discontinued but I thought it might be possible to get Heather onto the Mac some other way, perhaps through some other Acapela product. I am not looking for a hack. If it cannot be done easily and legally, I am not interested.
Is there a way to accept (or decline) a FaceTime call using keyboard shortcuts, Siri, or any other accessibility feature in Sonoma? I'm helping a senior with low vision learn to use her iMac and this is the one important feature that's problematic. If someone calls she can't see well enough to find and click on the small Accept button for the call.
I upgraded my Icloud plan to be able to move all my photos from Iphone to mac, beacause i used The cable but I can not do that at all.

Hi folks.
Thanks to the introduction of the AI feature on Be My Eyes, I've really enjoyed collecting and saving many of my photos over the years with descriptions. With iCloud, all my images and videos have conveniently been uploading to the Photos app on my Mac where I've been able to enjoy accessing and organising them on my computer too.
Hello all.
I am a translator and for my job I use currently the app DeePl. There is a version for Mac, but when I tried to install, I am not sure if I isntalled it, because I didn't see it between the apps, and I never have been able tu use it. Because of this, I would like to ask, if someone uses the DeePl app on the Mac and if it is accessible, specially for enter our username and password, for using the Pro versión. If someone would like to try the address for downloading it is: www.deepl.com
Many thanks in advance

Hello
I’d like to complain that VO for Mac is much less accessible in reading various HTML elements and pop-ups in comparison to it’s iOS counterpart.
