Mac
Hello all,
Has anyone found a OS X email client that they prefer over the client provided by Apple? It is possible that I haven't learned some tricks, but I have called the Apple Accessibility line and the support tech was stumped as well on some of my questions. My biggest issue is locating hyperlinks that are strewn throughout a large email (40-50) page email. Is Outlook 2016 truly accessible? I tried the first beta version earlier this Spring, but found it as accessible as Office 2011.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Jim
First of all I would like to apologize if this topic is already covered somewhere in this forum. But I am quite new for Mac and OSX and would like to ask about the alternative file manager solutions people may recommend. I don't mean that finder isn't accessible for me. It is very nice for common tasks, when you just need to quickly open something either locally or remotely. The problem with it is that I cannot find any easy way to switch between several finder windows.
well this is an odd one, I went to go add some stuff to my apple music library via iTunes. the option was not in my actions for such and such album or playlist or song. I looked under the song menu and the add to library is dimmed as well, so is the download thing. I tried restarting the iCloud library under prefs but no go. I am signed in on my android device as well, could this be the case here where something is conflicting with my android and my mac's libraries? I hope to get this fixed.
Take care all.
Hello. using the new pages app for osx, I notice that I cannot select a paragraph that spans multiple pages. it will unselect what I just selected. I tried looking at the help but even triple clicking the paragraph with voice over or the mouse does not work.
This bug is also present if I want to select let's say 2 pages to change formatting all at once. I have found no work around for this and want to know of someone else has. I am going nuts and panicking as I want my stuff to be perfect, plus it's due in a month. heha.
Take care and thanks.
Hello all. :)
A Blind Legend audio adventure game is now available for Mac and PC, it just came out last April with few updates and improvements. The audio game quality sounds more fun and realistic than the iOS and Android versions of the game. A Blind Legend for Mac and PC can be played using a pad controler or the arrow keys on your keyboard, just like any other accessible video games on Mac and Windows.
A Blind Legend for Mac and PC is a payed game and it can be purchased from the online Steam store. Here is the purchase link for both platforms:
So, now that Windows on Arm is getting such a push from Microsoft and QUALCOMM, I can't help but wish that Bootcamp for macs came back, so that we can run Arm versions of Windows natively on M series of processer powered Macs.
I have financial stability to afford Mac after a long time, the only thing holding me back is it's inability to run Windows natively. I know that Windows on Arm is limited in it's capability to run entire portfolio of Windows software, but so far, all things I care about seem to have added native Arm support.
Hello,
When is the software going to come out on Mac OS? Also, How do I rename a blank document?
Hi all,
I have recently got an Intel based MacBook Air 2020 and have installed Windows 10 on it using Bootcamp. So far everything is working ok, however I would like some advice on the following.
Hi,
I've recently started doing a new radio show, and I'm planning to use GarageBand to pre-record the ones I won't be able to do live. Currently, I'm getting music in by simply copying and pasting the music file into the main GB project, so the hole song goes in as one track, is there a way of turning the volume down for certain parts of that track? For example, is there a way to turn the volume of that track down for the last 5 seconds of that track so the listeners can hear my voice over the outro? This would also be useful for music beds.
Hi there. Finally I bought a macbook air, and I am really impresed. The last time I worked with a mac was under yosemite, with a old macbook pro, and now all feels much more responsive and easy to use. However, I have a couple of questions:1. I have my sistem language set to spanish, so the keyboard is in spanish too, and I noticed I cannot use command left arrow to go back, in safary, preferences, the finder... I am sure I used this shortkey but it is not supported anymore, or Am I missing something?
Hi. I am new to the MAC and have a couple of questions.
1. I have tried to reduce the verbocity of Voiceover speech as much as possible, however, I still get messages like "Press VO SHIFT Down Arrow To Interact." Is there a way I can turn this off? It is very useful, when first getting used to MAC keystrokes, however, after a while, the verrbage is too much. I have listened to a few podcasts, regarding keystrokes and Voiceover on the MAC and these messages are not read out. Can you please advise how to turn them off?
I just downloaded the trial version of VMware Fusion 11.5 and successfully created a Windows 10 virtual machine. There are a lot of settings in VMware Fusion and I was wondering if anyone has gone through the torture of figuring out the best settings for a Voice Over user. I am able to get into the VM, and at the moment I am using Narrator as my Windows screen reader. I did reach out to Freedom Scientific and they did give me a 45 day trial license to see if I want to use JAWS.
Hello,
I have always had a mac Mini, but it was way too old to really do anything with. Yesterday, I bought a late 2012 macbook Pro, and I have a bunch of favorites in my windows computer, that I'd like to try and import. How would I go about doing that, and if I can, is there a easy way to do it? Also, this machine has a duel core I-5 with 4 gb of ram, that I am going to upgrade to 16 gb, and also had a 1 tb hard drive. Would 16 gb make a huge difference? My tech knowledge says yes, but I want to be sure, before getting the ram sticks installed.
Thanks,
Darrell
Hey everyone
Have a couple questions for you all.
1. How do I authorise my Mac to use iTunes? I am signed into my Apple ID, but when I try to download some music from the previous purchases area, it says that I need to authorise my computer.
2. In the mail app, how do I switch from my Gmail account to my Outlook account?
3. Is there a way of deleting all emails at the same time instead of one by one? When I have lots of messages, it gets annoying having to delete one after the other
Thanks for any answers you might have.
Hi,
Today I was given a rather old MacBook Pro running OSX El Capitan. I don't mind this as I've been wanting to try OSX for some time. So far, I've used the Voiceover tutorial, and am gradually figuring out the system as I go.
However, there are a couple things I need some help with.
Hi all,
In another thread, I mentioned how I am in need of a new computer. While it isn't the primary solution I am looking at, one of the options I am considering is an M4 MacBook Pro and running Windows virtually when needed. As I ideally want to have the best of both systems plus Apple's hardware and battery life, this ... could ... work.
