I’ve been experiencing this issue for about a week now while using macOS 15.7.1. Occasionally, the return key doesn’t send messages when smart replies are visible at the bottom of the window. I have to close them first before I can hit return to send any message. I don’t want to completely turn off Apple Intelligence, as I frequently use writing tools due to not being a native English speaker. What can I do in this situation to eliminate the smart replies, or at least ensure the return key always sends messages?

Hello, I have been having a recurring problem with new webpages loading in Safari. Most of the time, when Safari is loading a new page, it will appear without me having to "interact with HTML content". However, on occasion (and more so lately) I receive either no feedback at all from VoiceOver when a new webpage is loading, or I just get an "HTML content" message. I would much prefer a new webpage just loading over having to guess or be stalled by periods of uncertainty.

Hello Apple Vis,
I had a question to ask. I've been needing to contact a couple of companies via a ticket submission. IN the form. I see a Dash and a downwards pointing triangle.
More often than not these are where the categories are.
Is there a way to make voiceOver handle these better?
I don't see why they use the Pop UP buttons as those seem to be handled much easily with VoiceOver.

So I was on my other partition with Sequoia 15.3.1 stable. I wanted to reset my recovery key for my apple account. When I clicked on create new recovery key I got a the key. First I was not able to select it with voiceover selection commands, by interacting with the text and selecting with vo enter. After thinking about it for 3 seconds I decided that it actually makes sense somehow. So I clicked print, aiming to save it as pdf.

I returned to a Mac as my main device after a long time without using a Mac, could someone help me with this question, please?
When switching to any activity I've created (let's say, an activity called "reading"), overtime I open another application or use the finder to find something, voiceover automatically changes again the active activity to default value. Is it a bug?Is there any solution to use a created configuration still I decide to change it by my own?

So I am currently using mac os high Sierra. I have an older computer so I don't want to try updating further than that. Anyway I tried to select Samantha as my voiceover but whenever I do the voice that comes out is Alex. It says that it's Samantha though, and it doesn't happen with any other voices. I've tried deleting and redownloading the voice, but nothing works. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it.

I recently have being using YoruFukurou app for my twitter on my brand new MacBook Pro with retina recently. It was one of my favorite app, and best of all it was very accessible with VoiceOver.
Recently, I restored my Mac due to some problem and I went back to factory settings, thankfully since it new I didn't had any of my data quite yet. I reinstalled YoruFukurou, the same way that I did when first got my Mac.
All the sudden now it doesn't seem to work now. As soon as open the app, it displays the following.

Hi all. so I am creating a presentation in keynote, and I have 7 slides so far. However, I had to delete the first slide. This caused the second slide to move to the first position, and now the title slide, which is the first slide, is in the second position. How do I move the position of the slides? I noticed that with the standard version of parallels you can either buy a stand alone license for $129 or you can pay $99 for a yearly license. My question is, is it worth it to buy the yearly version or is the one time purchase okay to buy? I ask because unless they add accessibility I am not sure what the real advantage of the yearly license would be.
Another reason I ask is that I was looking at a vmware player tutorial and man it looks to be a real headache to get windows 11 on arm installed with it.

I have a question relating to the Weather App on OS 4 for iPhone. I live in Millcreek Utah, which is a suburb of Salt Lake City, and I work in Salt Lake City. When I am at home, the phone gives me the weather for my area, but it lists the city as, "Brigham Madson". There is no such place in the state of Utah. I've tried editing the cities, but it might work for a little while, telling me I'm in Millcreek, or Salt Lake City, but it eventually goes back to Brigham Madson. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening, and how I can fix it?

Hello all,
I use emacs and Emacspeak on my Mac because I can get indentation level announcements. This is vital for doing Python programming. Is it possible using apple scripts or something else to have VoiceOver automatically turn off when I open up emacs and then turn on again when I leave emacs? I looked in the VoiceOver activities but all I could find in there was to mute speech which is what I do not need. I need to actually turn VoiceOver off.

VoiceOver still responds late on some situations, especially when switching a window to another window, on Sierra, like on El Capitan. It makes my works so slow. Is there anything to solve the problem?

As stated in the subject. I don't understand what is possible to change and what is not. The description in the guide is very very vague. Basically what I wanna do is, (e.g. the "." symbol) make VO announce it when there is words like com.apple.something, or generally change how the option left and right arrow keys affect which symbol is pronounce and how it is, or skipped. I don't wanna hear every dots in the sentences in the comments of my code though. Is it possible?

Has anyone who has used Wordpress noticed that some of the controls that are required kind of run into Voiceover issues or am I doing something incorrectly?
lIke OK for organizing posts into sections and adding headings would require the use of the control and Option key.
For an example to create Heading level 2 it would be Control option and the number two. I do it, and I get knocked out of my text Or where i am writing my post.
I know that the control is considered a hot spot control. Like hOt spot one, hot spot two etc.

I am trying to extract/unarchive a Tar archive that I downloaded off line.
Using Archive Utility keeps giving me an error one message, and I have tried downloading The Unarchiver, but even with that i am getting no where.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to unarchive a Tar archive/ I've simply clicked on it with VoiceOver, and I have done command Plus O, and Control Option shift and M, and still nothing has happened. I keep getting the same error. The error one Which is Operation not permitted.

Hi.
I know I've asked this before but I was wondering with the update to OSX I think it's called, is it possible for voiceover to not read line brakes?
I have a lot of harry potter fan fiction and text files.
But when I read with voiceover it always reads the new lines.
Is there a way to stop this? I'm talking about when doing a read all command.
Also, does anyone know if using a USB pc keyboard will work with a mac?

Hi,
I just discovered that in the Finder's sidebar, we can very easily use drag and drop with VoiceOver to rearrange the order of the items placed there. In my case for example, I added my OneDrive account after having only 2/3 of my Google accounts, so the third one was after OneDrive.
I pressed vo+, on the item I wanted to move, in my case my 3rd Google account, moved left with vo+left arrow to OneDrive, and then pressed vo+shift+comma (drop marked item before VoiceOver cursor) and got all my three Google accounts well aligned in the desired order.
