Hi everyone!
I'm trying to find out how to use the new feature for hiding destracting items in Safari with VoiceOver. On 'iOS I know how to do it, but I don't find out how to do so on macOS. Does anyone of you know how to do it?

What is the concept difference on the mac in Big Sur with hitting Command+H to hide a window, vs. hitting command+M to minimize? It seems like hitting Command+H to hide is putting things in the Command+Tab sequence and moving the app focus away from being in the foreground. Seems to me that this is doing exactly what minimizing with alt+Space then the letter n does on the Windows side of things. So, what's the difference? As a Voiceover user, is there any instant where I'd want to use Command+M to minimize instead of hiding?
Hi there everyone,
I've been using a clean install of High Sierra for awhile now. The problem is, High quality Siri voices not downloading to my Mac. I've been searching around the net for some solutions, but I got nothing. Do you guys have any tips about this?
Thanks.
Hello
Please could someone kindly post any new VO shortcuts for High Sierra.
Thank you
Hello people, I am new to this, so patients please, as this may be posted in the wrong place.
I have just installed High Sierra and find that all my files and folders are now treated as a group. This means that I must interact with them individually. Hopefully someone will point out that I am a dummy, and tell me how to change this. Generally I have quick nav on, and use column view. Any help would be welcome.
Hello folks.
I had to reinstall High Sierra OS on my Intel Mac Book Pro with Reaper and Osara, but I'm having trouble installing SWS Extension as the app Terminal, tihis is the terminal error:
-bash: / Users / saurofani / Library / Application Support / REAPER / UserPlugins / reaper_sws-x86_64.dylib: cannot execute binary file.
I have tried different versions of this component but I always get the same message.
Can someone help me?
Many thanks in advance.
hi all,ι have recenly updated to φigh σierra, and it works prety well, except that now it takes twice as much time to boot, plus some more seconds to get voiceover ready after entering my password'It is a clean install of mac high sierra''' has anyone experienced it, any suggestions?
thanks in advance!
After upgrading to High Sierra, my Voiceover is silent when selecting text in Pages. Just me? Also, text containing comments (shift command K) do not report "contains comments" anymore.
How do you highlight color in pages?
Some one on a list that I am running is trying to highlight color in pages.
Hello all,
The Fn + left aero and Fn + right arrow for the Home and End do not work on Ventura latest version. For example, on Mail if I want to go to the top of my list of messages or the bottom it does not move from the current position. I normally turn on the option to use the Fn key for the special functions but turning it off also does not make a difference. Is it broken? if so, are there any alternative ways to achieve the same thing besides using a full size keyboard?
Thanks.
Just wondering if anyone has figured out how to carry out a keystroke in Windows on a Mac running BootCamp. I am trying to do the Control Home keystroke to get to the top of a web page in a browser in Windows but with no stand alone Home or End keys on the MacBook Air I am a bit stumped.
Hi everyone, hope you're doing well and staying safe 😊 I am running Mac OS Sequoia on an m2 MacBook Pro.
For the past while now, I have tried to use Homebrew in Terminal to install programs, but sometimes I get an error saying "zsh: command not found" Why do people think this could be? My initial thoughts are that the mane homebrew path/paths are not configured correctly, would anyone know how I can check this and what the correct configurations would be?
So I am switching to a Mac, unless something terrible happens. This is where everybody comes in. I have another week to decide whether I'll return it or not.
Things I've heard about which haven't affected mesofar:
1. SNR: This seems to be the big one, but I'm using Firefox, and it seems to be fine so far.
I'm on Sonoma and I am confused. What's the difference between window spots, web spots and hot spots. It seems like they've recently changed, but the documentation isn't clarifying things for me.
Hi,
I have been trying to add my Hotmail email to the mail app in Yosemite. It was working before. I can get the email folders, still each time I send email I get the message that the sender address has been rejected. Also I can not get the ne emails. I have been googling for that and trying all solutions but none worked. Anybody can detail the configuration of the Hotmail mail configuration?
Thanks all.
You’re supposed to be able to mark a hotspot by pressing VO+shift+1 or VO+shift+2 or whatever. You’re then supposed to be able to jump to these hotspots with VO+1, VO+2 etc. This works beautifully in Safari or in PDFs open with Preview. And it’s really useful. But it no longer works in Text Edit or Pages. I’m sure it used to, and when it did it was extremely useful. I miss it. Can anyone advise why I can’t get it to work; maybe give me a tip to get it working, or suggest a work-around?
Since upgrading to Catalina hotspots are not working properly for me in Outlook. I can set them but when I use the hot keys focus will not jump to the hotspot. .The functionality seems to be working fine in other apps like Safari.
Anyone else notice this?
