Hi,
When I plug my iPhone into my Mac, iTunes says that I have a version of IOS lower than my phone reports when I look in my phone settings. Is there some way I can get iTunes to realize my phone is up-to-date without telling it to install the new version of the OS?

Hi I'm trying to set a macro in keyboard maestro so far it's was good but i have some small problem
I'm trying to set the action type a keystroke for a combination of key commands for example shift+tab but it's doesn't work
when i select the other... in the menu it's close it and nothing happened
do i miss something?

Hi. I have both english and spanish set up on my mac, with veried settings for each voice. However, I tend to work with spanish documents a lot. My voiceover rotor option is set to automatic language detection. However, when I open a document in spanish, the voice doesn't switch, it stays in the english voice. Any ideas why this might be happening? Thanks for any help

Hi all, so I've been making songs, and I know the notes to play, but I want to make a sheetmusic for the notes. I've tried using logic to do it, but voiceover doesn't read any of the notes. Is there a way to make a music sheet using logic pro of the notes for a song that can be read by voiceover? Thanks for any help.

I just upgraded to Mac OS Sierra and discovered I lost the ability to mute Voiceover with the 'Ctrl' key and the use of phonetics when I interact with text and pause on a character. Are the options I need to set in Voiceover Utility or System Preferences? If so, where?

I just started using Mail in El Capitan, and I have a major problem. When I'm composing a message, the from popup menu doesn't show. I've looked at the header options in the toolbar, and the from field isn't listed there either. Since I use aliases, this isn't good. I'm wondering if the from popup menu has disappeared? Or does VoiceOver no longer read the from popup menu? I have no vision, so I can't tell. I acknowledge that something strange could be happening on my system.

Hello. Hope all is well. Quick question... how do you tell your Mac to call a person using FaceTime or whatever app you want? For some reason it keeps opening Skype, which I don't want to happen.

Under Settings in Word for Mac 16.74 I have selected to show measurement in units of inches yet when trying to select a Custom Paper Size, everything is in centimetres. I need to create a document measuring 11" x 14" precisely. Could someone please tell me how to do this?

I'm not sure if this kind of topic is allowed here, and if its not, I sincerely apologize in advance.
However, I'm trying to move all my logins from icloud keychain to 1password, using the tools offered by the Mrc converter suite utility, and no matter what I do, I get errors.

At the moment, I'm running the release candidate of MacOS big sur, 11.0.1.

I've also tried running it under Catalina, and get errors there too.
Can anyone help?

Greetings, I have a spreadsheet that overtime I have in advertently duplicated the table. In hole, and in parts. I want to clean this up. But I cannot find out how to do that. The sided instructions say click on the table, then click on I presume it shows some icon And choose delete. Very straightforward. But I can’t find any instructions on how you would do so with voiceover.
If someone can clue me in, I would really appreciate it. I’m not a strong voiceover user. But with the instructions, I’m sure I could do that.

Hi everyone; I have just taken the step of installing Windows 10 on my Mac using VMware. I was wondering how to access the NVDA menu as I don't seem to be able to use caps lock and I don't know what the insert key is on a macbook air. I am using a early 2014 Macbook Air with VMware 7. Any assistance would be appreciated. Is there a way to create an insert key or change the caps key so that it can be used with NVDA? Alternatively, what is another short-cut key that could be used/ Thank you.

I've just updated to Mac OS Sierra and am trying to access the new optimised storage options, not because I want to use them, but rather because I want to make sure they are switched off.
I have navigated to the manage storage section in About This Mac, but have not found the options described in mainstream articles about this. All I see is something called Recommended, which I can't seem to do anything with, a list of apps etc on the Mac, and something called System which again I can't seem to do much with.

Hi, I am trying to play my guitar, and have it play through garage band on my MacBook pro. I have the guitar hooked up to a focusrite i2i2 audio interface through a quarter-inch to quarter-inch cable then running to my computer through the printer cable that comes with it. This cable runs in to a usb-thunderbolt cable to my computer. The audio interface is working according to the visual assistance I received. Garage band does recognize the interface. However nothing will be recorded. I tried calling apple but they couldn't help. Does anyone have any suggestions.

I just got a Mac. I have installed a couple of iOS games to the Mac.
However I would like to know what settings should I mess with to be able to play the games like I do on the iPhone? I don’t mind using the keyboard.
I would like to use the track pad as well as the keyboard. Any help will be great.

So, the subject says it all. I've asked around and someone told me about the line in app, which I could apparently use to pass everything I want through SoundFlower, but I'm not sure how to do that and be able to record with Audio Hijack. For devices like line in, all one needs to do is set the devices you want to use as the output to SoundFlower, then hijack SoundFlower and record. With an application I can't do that, so what is the best way to go about doing this?

I recently erased the disk on my macbook air, and did a restarted, with a view to continue the process of a clean install of the ios. But, for some reason, vo won't turn on with command f5.
I have tried using command r when switching the mac on, but still no voiceover.
Where to next?

After buying my first MacBook Pro, the first thing I did was install a virtual machine using VMware Workstation. While I had no problem getting it to function perfectly, I couldn’t figure out how to remap the keys so that I could use the Caps Lock key as a screen reader key for NVDA or Narrator. I’ve seen some people suggest SharpKeys, but first, I don’t know much about it, and second, since I can’t use the NVDA key, I can’t really interact with the screen reader—making it challenging to download or set up anything from the internet.
