Hi, I need some advice. I bought an iTunes gift card today. I'm supposed to be able to peal off the strip, and redeem the code with my iPhones camera. I have scanned my card successfully less than a few times. However, I could not get the card to scan at all today. I don't want to keep asking someone every time I get a new card. Is there a app that will let me take a picture of the code, so I can copy and paste it in the redeem text field? Any advice is helpful, thanks.
iOS and iPadOS
On an iPad Mini, retina display. Using Safari with Voiceover on. Ios 9.1. This happens A LOT in different places but just one example is this - on the Apple Vis website, I tap forums and instead of going to forums Voiceover says f, try again and Voiceover says o, try again and Voiceover says r, and so on. I have to turn off Voiceover, tap the forums link, then it works.
I am getting an odd beeping sound each time I enter a letter in the message app. Sometimes it just plays the normal click sound, but most of the time it makes this annoying beep really loud. Any suggestions as to how to get rid of this annoying behavior? Thanks much.
I am having an odd thing happen with safari. If I use siri to do a search from my homescreen and it finds a search hit with amazon and I open that link it only takes me to the amazon home page in the amazon app and not the link I've searched for.. If I use other browsers I do not have this problem. Hope this is clear. I've looked at all my setting and I can't find anything set incorrectly that I can tell.
Hello..
Hope all’s well. Wondering if anyone has experienced this and if so, know how to rectify.
On occasion, I need to hand my iphone 6s to a fully sighted person for one reason or another. I triple click the home button and voiceover disables. That’s all fine…. But when the fully sighted person types in Safari, Whatsapp and Facebook, a voice echo speeks whatever is being typed. Even though voiceover has been switched off. I’m using iOS10.2.
Any ideas?
Many thanks
I use screen time, more importantly the vulgar language filter within screen time. This has been working very well for me until tonight. I have just found out as of about five minutes ago, that if I am typing using BSI, and I happen to type a vulgar word, the chat filter will ignore it, and it will get posted just as if I turned that feature off.
Has anybody else noticed this? Is there any way to add BSI, or braille in general, to the screen time language filter?
TIA.
About a month ago, downcast began exhibiting odd behavior: it quit whenever you attempted to stream a podcast episode. this bug is still present, although somewhat better with latest release of iOS.
However, there is another oddness: the app now displays itself on the home screen as "mail". In settings under "storage and iCloud" it is still listed as "downcast". When you start the app, VoiceOver announces it as "mail". When you bring up the app chooser it is listed as "mail".
Is anyone else noticing the following issues with facebook?
I notice when after voiceover speaks the privacy of a post there's a slite pause and then the content of the post is spoken. I also notice that there's no longer a react button when swiping down. I have to actually go into the post itself to choose a reaction other than like. This just started one day out of the blue without performing any types of updates to ios and the app itself.
My fairly new IPhone 6S Plus (just bought it in early July) has begun doing something odd recently. I'll turn my phone off at night, and when I go to turn it on in the morning, nothing will happen. The only way I can get it to actually turn on is to plug in the power adapter then hold down the power button, and it'll fire right off. Once it's powered on, I can then unplug the adapter and it continues to run perfectly fine, and the battery shows 94% remaining, so it's not like the battery was dead.
Hi all!
I hope you are all having a good day.
Hi Folks.
i hope someone can help me with this?
since i upgraded to IOS15 i noticed voiceover calling out "camera" whenever i navigated to the home selection element above the dock.
i tried to relabel the element and noted the text "camera" was present but i cannot change it.
i reset my phone without logging into icloud and the issue was gone.
however, once i logged into iCloud i got the issue again.
i am at a loss.
Hopefully someone has an idea?
Kind Regards.
Tom
Hi all. About half an hour ago, I opened the youtube app on my phone, which is running the latest IOS. Right after I opened it, I got a message saying that the iTunes store is unable to process purcheases at this time. The only button that came up was an ok button and after I double tapped it, the youtube app worked as it always does. Is this a message that I should be worried about? Have I harmed my phone by hitting the button after this dialog?
Earlier on my iPad I used to be able to use predictive on my hardware keyboard and then go right or left to see emoji like I have been able to do for a long time. Now, however, I just cannot. Nothing shows up at all. I changed my iPad from Swedish to English, deleted both keyboards and then readded the english and it does not want to work.
My fiancée and I are having a weird issue with the Eero app. I am running an iPhone 12 Pro, and the app works as I would expect it to. She is running an iPhone 13 mini, and the screen refreshes every few seconds. Also, the focus does not stay on the control she is wanting to select. Both of us are running the latest iOS 15 update, as well as the latest eero app. Is there a setting on her device that would cause this behavior? Thanks in advance for any help.
Hi all,
I skipped the original IOS 14 and just installed 14.0.1 a couple of days ago, but at least in my diceworld game app and in my SmartNews app there are constant popups as I swipe through the app.
Hi all, I just thought I would post here because over the past few months I have been working very closely with the developer of a music playing app for the iPhone called golden ear, the app supports lossless music playback, meaning formats such as flac, ape wav etc, but it also supports mp3 and m4a as well.
Hi.
I was just wondering how receptive app developers have been/would be to one of us asking them if we could test their paid apps for accessibility7. That way, we could both help the rest of the blind community and be able to test apps for ourselves without having to purchasew them and then find that they are inaccessible.
Indeed, is there any way we could get free versions of these apps from the developers, again, so we wouldn't have to pay for them, at least for testing?
Thanks.
