iOS and iPadOS

I was scrolling through Netflix and looking for a show to watch when I noticed I was interrupting it saying something. So I stopped and let it read it out. After it said the show name and display details, it said "One of these days you'll love all seventy three inches of yourself." I thought that it might have something to do with the show, so I went to the next show and it said "I love you Jody." After the show name and the display details hint.I've scrolled over those two shows again and it didn't say it that time.

I've noticed something curious when comparing Apple Music on my iPhone and iPad. I've only noticed it thus far with one album, but I would be interested to know if (A) anyone else has noticed this and (B) what, if anything, might be done about it.

Hey guys,
So I usually go on a site that plays MP3 audio uploaded by users, including me. It's basically an open source mp3 uploading platform by Sam Tupy.
Anyway, that's not what I came to write about. I wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing this, not just Safari in general, but other web browsing apps as well.

Last night I updated my iPhone SE 2022 from iOS 18.0.1 to iOS 18.1.1. Just before the update, as it was saying verifying update, I noticed it was at 27% so plugged it in. After the phone updated I noticed although it still said charging, it was at 24%. I brushed this off though and continued using it as normal until I got the message that the phone was at 20%. The battery was going down even though in the status bar it still seemed to think it was charging. So I unplugged it while I thought about the problem.

My friend has a 6S and yesterday she decided to update to iOS 13.2.2 from iOS 12.4.1. Keep in mind, she doesn't have Wifi at home so she can't updateher software as easily as most of us can so she has to wait until she's somewhere there is Wifi. So yesterday she was near Wifi and plugged her device in and went to sleep. She told me later that her phone updated only to iOS 12.4.2 instead of iOS 13.2.2. I thought that maybe she had an iPhone older than the 6S and told her that it won't update any further.

Hey all, I have so many pictures where something like that would be needed, I think bespecular was a good idea for what I want, but that is not avaliable anymore, as far as I know. Are there any alternatives. To be clear I mean something where I can pick a pic and then ask questions about it, like "what is the background in that picture" or "what do they look like?". I do not mean be my eyes like a live video call, because the picture was in the past, I am not in the setuation, I need discriptions for a previous scene.

Hello, not sure if it is a bug, or if it is something I'm doing unintentionally, but for the last few months sometimes my iPhone 14 stop identifying the text on images, and the only workaround is to reboot the iPhone. Haven't found any setting that I can change to start having the recognition of text turn on again. As a matter of fact, it is even affecting the image description. The test I used to confirm that at a specific moment I'm having the problem is by selecting the icon of the X app in my home screen.

Hello, friends!

It's been a while since I've been here, but I'd like to ask you about a behavior that has been bothering me for a while now on iOS.

I believe that everyone who has been using iOS for a few years has noticed that, when using the open applications selector, some applications are indicated as active, that is, they are still open, while others do not show this status, which shows that they are suspended. In fact, Apple itself recommends that, unless there is some problem with overheating or slowness, applications should not be forcibly closed.

You know, 2 or so years ago I would have never imagined I could just pull up a picture on amazon, if it works correctly, and get it described with BeMyEyes, but I've realised something, sometimes to much description is a bad thing.

If I'm reading a meme it might be useful, but if it's a post from a place like r/sh*tamericanssay, not so much.

Hello, friends, I hope you are well.

I can't say precisely when this started to occur, but the fact is that Siri has been triggered only by pressing the side button, you don't need to press. This is very annoying, because I usually use the side button to turn on the screen, and not to call the virtual assistant.

Just to contextualize, I'm using the stable version of iOS, 17.2, on an iPhone 11 Pro Max in perfect condition. Now that I'm writing, the behavior occurred twice.

Hi all. Long story short, I put a couple of games on my dad's phone, he got a message something along the lines o, Do you want to use this device for automatic downloads? He ignored it, deleted it, now any song I get is synced fine with the Mac, it's my account, but it's stuck "Waiting", sitting in the downloads tab of itunes. Can anyone help? If i have to reset something that's fine. Also does anyone know the easiest way to browse to text alert tones? Using the Mac, I meant. Thanks so mcuh.

Good afternoon,
I’m in the process of trying to transfer all my music from Spotify to Apple Music.
In an effort to make this process easier, I’m trying to use the SongShift app but my shifts keep failing.
Any advice?

I have been in contact with Sonos support because I have some problems with the voice over in their app for the iPhone. I've written about this before. The link below is a proposal that will make Sonos more accessible for users with VoiceOver, android and more. The more people that go in and like the proposal the more likely it is that they do something. https://ask.sonos.com/sonos/topics/feature_request_add_support_for_voice_over_accessibility_on_the_sonos_desktop_controller_for_mac

Hi to those of you who own a Sonos,

I'm thinking of buying a Sonos sound system, and was wondering whether accessibility has been consistent, and whether you have had any interactions, positive or negative, with the Sonos company concerning accessibility? I know the app is currently accessible, but I would like to know more about this company's commitment to accessibility before I shell out $1000 plus on a sound system. Of course any decision to purchase will be mine, and I won't hold you responsible!!!

Take care

There is an iOS app, Soro - For Sonos, which allows you to set up interesting shortcuts and automations for Sonos speakers. However, it costs $7.99. Does anyone know if it's accessible? I'd have no problem buying it if I knew I could actually use it. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/soro-for-sonos/id1550457805
