Hello all,
I want to continue Ken's recent post on the subject of the app store by asking a question about one of my annoying problems. This concerns the problem of not being able to see 'the wood for the trees'. Let me explain. Yesterday, I made a terrible mistake by deleting my 'Apps Gone Free' app and wanted to get it back as quickly as possible.
iOS and iPadOS
A quick question about Apple Books and iOS 16. It is a much less user-friendly experience now. Just a minor thing, but previously whilst you were reading, you could tap in the right spot or flick through, and it would tell you how many pages were left in your chapter. it doesn’t seem to do that now. Is that correct? If you had to do something or go out, or just weren’t sure how much, you could have a look at how many pages were left and decide whether you were just going to finish this chapter or whether you had better put your book down and go and do something.
One of the primary reasons I purchased the iPhone was for its voiceover feature. I love books so it reads books to me. I have discovered an issue, however, which I believe is linked to the iOS 9 update. I have a set of LG TonePro which work well with iOS 9 until I try to use voiceover. In the past, I would triple click the home screen and voiceover would work without a hitch. Now, voiceover, by default, plays through the iPhone's speakers and not through the headset. It seems linked to AirPlay. The TonePro is automatically set as the AirPlay destination until voiceover is turned on.
Hi everyone,
Is there another way of deleting apps from the home screen on iOS using VoiceOver instead of the rotor or not? I'm trying to uninstall the iAssociate 3 app and I can't seem to find the edit mode option in my rotor. How can I delete said app from my home screen using VoiceOver?
Cheers,
André
So I discovered another work around to our never ending tagging issue on facebook where we can't mention names. I use the Safari version of facebook where I log into facebook through Safari and post a status. I guess this will be a work around until this issue gets fixed. It's annoying but it's better than nothing.
As this question/request was at least two years ago as a part of some more general thread, I'll start a new thread. I can't find the original post, but hopefully the person that asked still reads the forum and it may be a useful tip for other people too.
The request was to alter the swipe up/down behavior over the play button in Speech Central to match what Voice Dream does.
Hello Brad, Oliver, Patrick (and Stoo because it was his article),
I am mirroring this message to you all to hit all the questions at once as to not to tie up the comments section in Stoo’s article.
I have been having a lot of trouble trying to answer an incoming phone call on my iPhone 4S running iOS 8.1.
When the phone rings, I try to answer by double tapping with two fingers. Often this does not seem to answer the call. If, instead of double tapping twice to anser the call, I try to flick around to find the "Answer" button, it is almost impossible to hear VoiceOver announcing the button lables over the sound of the audio ring tone. The problem is that the audio ring tone is not being ducked when voiceOver is speaking.
Subject line is clear as a bell. I stopped having the phone go to auto select, partially because the phone would sometimes not switch to speaker if I had it away from my ear. The main reason is I want the ability to hang up with the bower button. I still liked it on the top better then the side, I seem to pushit by accident. anyway how does the call work now? I answer it and what? Thx
I don't believe this feature exists, but sure would be really awesome to have.
I am usually connected to my Bluetooth TWS and can answer and reject calls by doing a tapping gesture on any of the L/R ear buds. However, many times instead of declining the call I end up answering it. So I have to sit through the call although it was not a good time to indulge in conversation. What if? we could use Voice Control to answer/ decline calls?
Hi! I don't know how to answer or decline a video call LOL. After calling him, I ggot my friend to video call me and I couldn't figure out how to answer. I checked the forum and found nothing. I guess no one else had this problem LOL.
I am looking for recommendations for security and antivirus programs that are accessible using VoiceOver on an iPhone 5 running iOS 8.4. I have no security program running on it right now. In a few months, I will be upgrading to the new iPhone when it becomes available. Thanks for any help and information you can provide. This is always such a helpful site.
Hello. Do I need an antivirus for an IPhone and is it possible to get infected?
Hello, I am looking for a accessible and free voice memo recorder. I am looking for one that is better than the one that Apple developed. I am looking for one that is very useful that does not require me to buy things that allow me to share, upload, or anything else. Thank you for all recommendations.
Hey guys,
It turned out that I was almost late for school, because for one thing, my iPad's alarm didn't wake me up. I set the volume at 100% and instead of getting up at 6:15 AM, I got up at 6:49 AM.
Are there any accessible alarm clock apps that are loud and clear? And that will not startle me awake? Thanks.
I want to be able to make videos and movies with iMovie using stop animation techniques. I will be using my iPad and I also need help with finding a tripod and a remote way to control the camera.
Hi, first of all sorry for my bad English because I'm from Turkey.
Does anyone know any accessible IOS app for learn a new language? I use duolingo in my computer but it wants so much writing, I'm not good at writing in IPhone. I use memrise too, but the same problem; it wants so much writing. It teaches a new Word, and it wants me to write it. I can do it in my computer but not in my phone..
I hope you can understand what I'm asking, have a good day
