Hi everyone,
The subject says it already. I cannot set the time after how many minutes my macbook air goes into the hibernate mode. If I open System preferences and then navigate to battery > Battery in the table, and then adjust the value there and then quit system preferences, the value always jumps back to the default setting of 3,3 percent (2 minutes).

More info about my system:
macOS Big Sur 11.2.1 on a new M1 MacBook Air, VoiceOver enabled.
Does someone else encounter this behaviour?

Well Xmas came early and i'm on a shiny Macbook pro M1. However i have so much to learn. For one thing, this two system dialogs displayed keeps bugging me. How can I get rid of it? And the notification asks for my Google password, but I'm already getting mail. So I don't know what's up. If someone wants to help, I'd be grateful.

I am still running MacOS Ventura on my 2022 Mac Studio M1 ultra, used primarily for music production, recording and composition, i.e., Logic Pro 10 (not 11) and Sibelius, plus incidentals like Apple's mail app, Safari for checking out Applevis, and occasional shopping on amazon.com. I am now wondering (since we are only a month away from the next big upgrade) whether right now might be a good time to upgrade from Ventura to Sequoia.

This is mainly a vent post. I don't want this to become a Mac vs PC post, and I'm happy to delete if this is not allowed. I'm just wondering if others have experienced a similar issue.

Guys, isn’t this enough? I’m still having trouble reading bulleted and numbered lists in ChatGPT’s output, and it’s getting really annoying. It’s been months, and this still hasn’t been resolved. We used to be able to copy the output with Command+Shift+C, but that no longer works. I’m so tired of this as someone who uses ChatGPT daily. Not to mention how frustrating the desktop app is—especially when cursor tracking is on. It’s annoying, and it really needs to be fixed.

Hi all. Just now, I was in the middle of my last post, when voice over stopped speaking. The sounds were there, no speech. so I turned off and on Voice Over about five times. Nothing. I took the Airpods out of my ears and there was speech. This is absolutely unacceptable. I'll put them in and they will work again until they just stop. does anyone who have the pro version have this problem too? I can't return them, not least because of the virus but I've had them for maybe six months now. Frustrating to say the least.

I downloaded an album onto my Mac earlier but because of my dodgy internet, one of the tracks didn't download properly, and for some reason the track would show as downloaded, play fine on my computer, but when I synced the album to my iPod Nano, that one track wouldn't play. I know it wasn't playing from my iCloud because I switched my wifi off and it still played fine on the Mac.

i called apple accessibility they looked on the screen and said it looked like it wanted to launch but it quits
i tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck
i wrote Serotek support got no response back yet
any suggestions to try?

Hello all,
I downloaded a free book from Apple on programming with Swift. I am interested in trying to learn it. My background is in C# and ASP.net on the Windows side of the pond. However I am having issues trying to read the book with iBooks. When I interact with the text of the book, I am unable to move using the arrow keys. How does one use iBooks to read books? I need to be able to read by character and word so I can examine the code found in the book. Thanks for any help on this.

Hello there.
I would rather use iBooks on Mac, because there are more voices available than on an iPhone, especially if you are lucky enough to have an Intel Mac, which allows you to use a cappella voices for a while more.
But on the Mac, when selecting a page to read from, the book often, but not always starts from its beginning. Furthermore, I cannot get the Mac to read the whole book at once, it will always stop at a point, which is not necessarily the end of the current page.
I'm on big Sur.
Any advice?

Hello to all. In using iCloud drive in osx Yosemite, I notice that I cannot any of the files in any of my apps not on iOS or osx and everything is checked. When I hit cmd shift I it shows 0 items in the folder. What am I missing here? I understood iCloud drive to mean I could see all the files in all of the apps on all devices, well the supported apps anyway. I'm in the middle of recording my how to on Yosemite, and I get the feeling I will have to add an addendum to the thing on iCloud drive as I already recorded the section on it.

Right now, I went to set up iCloud Drive on my Mac. When I went to download a 15 gb folder, my Mac said this after about 30 minutes of downloading. Downloading 10,687 items (3.60 GB of 57.39 GB).

Is there a way I can check what the upload status is if I copied something on to iCloud drive from my Mac or from another device like I can with Dropbox? I'm on the latest version of OSX, there's no indication in the iCloud drive folder, in system preferences iCloud there seems to be a progress indicator, but it doesn't read the progress and interacting with it also does nothing.

I am tired of moving to the sidebar to find my icloud folder to see my files. How can I create a desktop shortcut to make it easier for me? I can not find the path of the folder.

Hello, all. I'm new to this site so please bear with me. I'm using OS x Yosemite with all of the latest updates. Recently I've had an issue in which the vast quantity of my iCloud mail is put into the junk folder and there is no option to "mark as not junk' the only option available is is "mark as junk' I have rebuilt the inbox, rebuilt the junk folder all to no avail. I belong to an email list and even my own messages are filtered into the junk box. I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can provide here.
