Considering that the game isn't out for iOS, I figured i'd make the topic under Mac app discussion.
Has anyone got it yet? I'm on World 4 and the game... isn't bad. I do hope the game will be on the Mac app store and iOS soon though. Let me clarify that the game is not a Roguelike, at least the main game. The Endless mode is more like a Roguelike.

I am rocking an m1 MacBook Air, so no bootcamp just yet. However, I am able to make use of Remote Desktop, and it works pretty well. However, I have yet to find a key combo that will simulate the insert key on a Windows keyboard. Not so much needed for NVDA, as I can just use caps lock, but I need it for other programs I use. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Does anyone know how to turn off Voiceover announcement of the position of the insertion point. Yes, that is useful info when editing, but sometimes Voiceover says it constantly in places where it is completely useless verbosity. I certainly don't want to hear it when reading a webpage with QuickNav on. The feature seems to come and go inexplicabley.

I recently purchased Mac air laptop, last year’s model. I find my iPad is not meeting my needs which includes excel. I am looking for any info to purchase the MSFT excel plus keyboard commands for excel. I assume I will need to purchase some version of JAWS - gulp, getting to add up! I am retired but did use JAWS & Office while working - a number of years ago. Hopefully I’ll catch on soon. All suggestions appreciated.
Hi all, so I've download an installer package from the internet, and it has come as a zip folder, I open it, and it has a hole list of folders including an instelation folder. There is a document in this that only opens in notepad and will not install. Does anyone know what to do to install programs like this?

I am trying to install a third party application on my 11 inch mac book air. I downloaded the dmg file and copied it to my applications folder. However, when I try to eject the dmg file from my system voiceover is not saying eject. Instead, I'm hearing that honking sound the mac makes when something is not done properly. Did I miss a step in this process? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm trying to install a program called Xampp on my Mac from the internet. I'm trying to download it from https://www.apachefriends.org/download.html When I download it, it appears in my downloads folder as "xampp-osx-8.0.9-0-vm.bz2.cpgz CPGZ archive" When I press Command + o to open the folder, it opens the archive utility, and copies the folder. I can't access the installation file to install the program. Has anyone had this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

A poster on here has said, rightly so, that a lot of apps, let's be honest about all of them, are from the app store itself. Why has no one found an app, not on the app store and given detailed instructions to install it? It might be a utility app, or a game, or whatever but if we rely on the app store, we don't branch out enough. Maybe there's a fabulous way to edit a to-do list, but no one has anything except what is released on the app store to go by. why? As long as someone is careful, it's no more difficult then installing a .exe file verses a .zip file.

I have a 2016 MacBook Pro, and I am unable to install windows using the bootcamp assistant.
I have a USB C sound card which I try to plugin via a USB C port on my Mac, but it does not work even if I load narrator.
I get no audio output at all.
Has any of you managed this, or maybe found an alternative iso file which works with the current Mac hardware?

I've only had my Mac for about a month, so I'm relatively new at this. I'm trying to install Capti Narrator. The download file is a .pkg file. Everytime I try to open it, the Mac thinks it's a plain text file and opens it in Text Edit. I've tried the "Open With" option, but I can't figure out where the installer is fore it to open that way. The team at Capti suggested I re-download the program by right-clicking on it and using Save As. I did that, and nothing changed; it still sees it as a text file that wants to open in Text Edit.
