Hi all I've created a short video on how to change the size of the mouse pointer in Mac OS X Mountain Lion. It is designed for anyone who finds the mouse pointer difficult to see. I hope you find it useful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2ddaqzhKKw Cheers, Glen

"I used to be able to conveniently use the ChatGPT website on Mac Safari. However, now, whenever ChatGPT writes a message, VoiceOver users cannot see the response following the 'ChatGPT says' heading. Are there any workarounds? This is very frustrating. Of course, I have no problems on my virtual Windows machine, which also means it will take a million years for them to fix it for mac Voiceover users as there is not many blind mac OS users compared to windows.

I am attempting to connect an Index Basic D embosser to my Mac Book Pro. I downloaded the Louis Braille translation software. However, when I try to emboss, I receive a message that the computer does not recognize the embosser. Any suggestions as to how I get the Mac and embosser working together?

Hi,

I am wondering if there is a way to set different applications to use different setting?
For example. Right bow I have my default setting as characters and words for typing settings. That is not necessarily how I want it set-up in every application. I know that it is a personal preference as to how it is set-up, but I am wondering if you can please share with me how some of you have it set and what you have found to be the most beneficial?

Hi folks! We thought we'd offer a few codes for PinPoint here as a way to help. PinPoint is a Mac app which has been around for quite some time and helps many users with visual disabilities see the pointer with more ease.

Hi. I am going to try to teach myself Inform7. For those who do not know, Inform7 is a programing language for writing Interactive Fiction games. I want to write these games. I have started reading the Inform7 handbook. It looks like I am going to have to type some stuff that I can not find on the Mac keyboard. I know there is a way to type it, I just don't know it. There is probably some keystrokes or commands. So, how do I type a single quote, a double quote and an opening and closing square bracket?

hi all,
I have got a new MacBook Pro and I want to activate the Infovox on my new MacBook.
I have deactivated the account and the voice from the old Mac, but when I add my account on my new Mac, I still can't find my credits. as far as I know, if we deactivate the account and voices from a device, we can use them on another device. is there anything I should do to activate the voice on my new Mac? and do I need to buy more credits? or I can still use the same voi on my new Mac with the same credits.
thanks

Hi friends. I have a question regarding Infovox Ivox. Does it still work on Mac OS?

Post Date:

Hi,
I just installed Infovox iVox on my Mac, and am having trouble activating the voice permanently. I have purchased the voice credit, but when I go to the action menu to activate the voice, Voiceover says the activate voice is dimmed. What do I do? I have downloaded the voice and it is installed. It shows up in my downloads folder.

Post Date:

Infovox ivox isn't working on Mac anymore, I already tried that. Does anyone know of any alternatives for voices that can be downloaded to Mac as an alternative from Infovox voices and the genetic apple voices?

Post Date:

Hi all,
I have installed Mac OS 11 as known as Big Sur and I have noticed that there is an issue in VoiceOver with InfoVox voices.
The issue simply is that when selecting one of the InfoVox voices VoiceOver stops responding completely and no sound comes from it.
I have four Acapela voices installed on my device, used them all and tried to reinstall them again but nothing changed.
Of course, the issue disappears completely when I switch back to one of the VoiceOver voices that are available like "Alex".

I recently switched from a full-time Windows 10 user to using a MacBook Air. My Windows laptop, which is my second, and has lasted me almost 6 years through a hectic school life finally gave up the ghost, after keyboard keys began flying off left, right and centre in some crazy Buckeroo-style game. Having used Windows for 10 years or so (bearing in mind that I’m 16, this is a majority of my lifetime), I expected the transition to Mac OS to be difficult at best. Now, in fairness, I received the MacBook by fedEx yesterday afternoon, so I definitely have plenty more to learn.

Hi all, Another thing I'm having difficulty with ... Apparently we're meant to be able to reply to messages and mail from directly within the Notifications Center. Has anyone been able to do this? Can't work this out using Voice Over. I can browse through various notifications and even open the app where they came from. But I can't activate the Quick Reply field. Thanks for any help.

I haven't done an app entry yet but I have brought it, it continues directly from the end of the second game. I have the mac copy myself and it seems ok though i've only wondered about a bit, not solved anything yet.
