Can anybody recommend a minimalist application for playing MP3s on the Mac?
There are times when I just want to open a single MP3 track from within Finder, and iTunes seems overkill when all that I want is a bare bone player with little more than the basic playback controls.
I did take a quick look at Cog after finding it in the App Directory. It ticks most of my boxes, but I wasn't sure what some of its unlabeled checkboxes actually do.
So, any pointers to other options would be much appreciated.

hi all, is audassity still around and accessible? or what do others recommend for editing of files, adding effects, equalising, boosting volume etc? not looking for multi-track in the first instance but this may be the way to go. what about amadeus pro? i know that is paid for though, but can i do single track editing? thanks, Will

Hi everyone hope you’re doing well and staying safe. Please can anybody recommend an accessible FTP client that supports third-party services that use the Amazon S3 protocol? Transmit does not do this they confirm this when I contacted them via email. I do not like Pcyberduck as I find the interface too clunky. I have files with different volumes in my music library. As a result, when listening to my iPod, I am constantly turning the Volume up and down and down and up again. Turning sound check on in my iPod settings as well as in iTunes has not helped at all. Is there an accessible app that will go through all my music files and make all there volumes the same without too much sound quolity loss?

Hi all. I need to find a website where the info is grouped into a table except the info is hidden behind a button. So it might look like table with two columns and it would say food button, or drink button, something like that. I need to figure out how to activate that so I can finish a project. I don't care what the site is or information I'm looking at. Just if anyone can help let me know. If you can find this by late Thursday or very early friday morning that'd be great.

Hello,
I am managing a website for a family business, and I am looking for a way to have FTP read/write access preferably in finder (preferably without buying an app/service).
I know things such as ciberduck and commander1 both exist, but I think commander1 requires you pay to get access to ftp read/write access, and ciberduck also costs $30.
Do you know of any app to do this? if this can't be done in finder, is there any accessible software that I could use?

Hi.
I'm trying to find an app for mac that works well as a journal, hopefully including date and place. As apple's own journal app isn't yet available on mac, not sure why, I was wondering what others used?
I've tried Day One but I can't use spell check in it. Got a feeling it's like word and has some conflicts with the system wide spelling function.
I used to have an app simply called Mac Journal but I can't seem to find it any more.

I've tried reading three books in iBooks in two user accounts. I cannot get any of the books to read in either account. When I try and select a chapter from the table of contents, something I did all the time in Yosemite, iBooks freezes and VoiceOver keeps saying busy. If it starts working again, which is rare, I'm reading at the place I was before. I cannot go to another chapter.
