Mac
Good afternoon,
So sorry for disturbing you all, This is the last post for today I promise.
Normally when I download things from a website, I prefer that it goes to my downloads folder but when I download the Zoom app from the website, will it go into my downloads folder?
If so, how do I get it into my dock?
If someone could help me out that would be brilliant.
Hi all, so I wanted to install some apps to the Mac applications folder through disc images, but I came across a weird alert in Mac OS Catalina that says there are locked items in the trash. Here's the kicker: when I go to the trash, there's like ZERO, zilch, zippo, no files in the trash at all for me to unlock. What is happening here and how to fix this? I'm trying to install a zip archiver but have to open it from its original image thingy because I can't get it into the applications folder without having that alert thingy.
Hello fellow Applevisers. I hope everyone is having a good morning. I was wondering if their was a setting on the mac or also if their is a way to unlock a mac and leave it unlocked. I sometimes am playing a podcast or a file and all of a sudden the mac lockes. I have to enter my password in order for it to unlock. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hi everyone!
I actually think this is my very first post here, though I've been here a while. Anyway, I'm a new Mac user as of last Thursday and I'm slowly starting the process of being as comfortable with my Mac as I am with my windows computer (which I've used for most of my tech life). One thing I really like about windows is the ability to turn off the trackpad. The way I tend to type, I was always bumping the trackpad and getting out of my document or getting into things accidentally.
Since updating to the latest Mac oS, I notice that it always requires me to enter my password no matter how many settings I mess with. I had this turned off, so maybe it was turned on bfor privacy and they don't let you change it now. That's fine, I can deal with that. But every time I enter my password, it automatically brings up the touch ID and password settings from system settings menu. Does anyone else experience this? I know it's a minor thing but I was just curious why this is.
Thanks in advance!
Hi guys since updating my MacBook Air to the latest version of OS10 I've had an annoying issue when I try to log into my Mac, instead of the user panel coming up and being able to select my name and enter my password it seems to just go to the apple logo and i can't for the life of me work out how to log in. I have to resort to restarting a few times until it decides to work properly. Has anyone else got this and has worked out a work around for the issue, I have emailed Apple about this so hopefully they sort it.
Hi all,
David Earl, Product Manager for Logic Pro X here again with some news!
We have just released a followup to Logic Pro X, 10.5 with a new update, 10.5.1
We have added some accessibility enhancements that I wanted you to know about.
•. When Logic is launched for the first time on a system with VoiceOver activated, a dialog offering to change all plug-in windows to Controls View is now displayed.
• VoiceOver now announces the Show/Hide Library command when it is performed with a key command.
I submitted a shortened version of the feedback below to the Logic Pro team. Here’s my email: We need to help them make Flex Pitch accessible. It’s very unacceptable for it to remain inaccessible for so many years now. They had a character limit, so I had to omit a lot of details, but hopefully, they will follow up with me. You can also submit feedback to the Logic Pro team by going to the Logic Pro menu with VO+M and selecting ‘Provide Logic Pro Help’ under the menu. Thank you, hopefully, they will release an update to allow us to use this tool effectively.
Hi,
I'm trying to do some potentially complex multi-track editing, and I think I need more than Amadeus Pro can provide at this point.
I've heard good things about logic and reaper, so I'm trying to figure out which is best for me.
I'm using ventura on a 2021 and also a 2023 mac mini, so being able to operate the license on two computers is a must.
Hi all,
The latest update of Logic Pro has been released!
This update allows Logic Pro to run on Apple silicon. There are MANY enhancements and fixes.
Here's the latest on the accessibility front:
VoiceOver now announces the status Track Record Enable.
VoiceOver now announces readout values for the Level Meter and Loudness Meter plug-ins in Controls View.
VoiceOver no longer announces audio regions as muted when they are on tracks with no output assigned.
The EQ tab in Smart Controls is now accessible with VoiceOver
Hello all- I was wondering if somebody may be of help. I have the latest version logic and a corgi micro key air connected. when I try to use logic pro's bluegrass banjo I get a muted staccato sound rather than a pure banjo sound. to get that I have to press the keys very hard. Then I discovered that when I use musical typing it sounds like a pure banjo. when I connected a second keyboard the same thing happened. so it's something to do with the keyaboard.
Then I discovrered that its happening across string instruments like the hammered dulcimer.
Hi,
thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
I'm using a MAC Mini connected to an extended Windows keyboard and I've modified the command and option keys so that I can easily use Voice Over.
I have a problem with using Logic Pro because to scroll through the regions you use the function keys plus control plus the arrows. Which key do you recommend I configure to also reproduce the pressing of the Function key that is not present on the Windows keyboard?
Hello, someone using logic pro x 10.3.2 know how acceding alkemy? Thank you nin advanced.
Hi,
On icanworkthisthink.com I found a podcast about Logic Pro X Drummer. The podcaster adjusts the x/y pad area with Voiceover. Unfortunately he doesn‘t name the keys he uses for. I just can‘t get arround it. Could somebody please explain me step by step how it works? Thanks very much!
Hello, everyone. I have a Logic question.
I produce classical and Celtic music, and I'm wanting to begin composing more challenging pieces, which may vary in tempo. How do you change the tempo of a single region? In case this doesn't make sense, here is an example of what I want to achieve
